They take my money, THEN they CANCEL my transaction. It is not sent to the recipient. Then I check my credit card account - they took my payment TWICE.
An email tells me they determined that my transaction posed an unacceptable risk.
I ask, "What was wrong with my transaction? Why did you take the money first?"
They give me a link to "acceptance criteria Terms and Conditions."
So they take your money, don't deliver it, and tell YOU to figure out what went wrong.
Can use them if you have a few weeks to make a transfer. They will take the money fist and then the requirements start to come. I wonder why they dont clearly mention all requirement before the money is credited from the card. Their intention is to trap you by taking the money first
WorldRemit you advertise yourself as being a safe and quick way of transferring money. But you only take people's private information - name, date of birth, gender, address, banking info - send them a fake receipt and a transaction confirmation, and then cancel their account without letting them know. And now you have all my information; you made me waste countless days trying to send money quickly; had me talking on the phone with your customer service who doesn't care about the customer; and you had my receiver waste two weeks of their time trying to retrieve the money.

These people are criminals no doubt about it. The Department of Justice among others needs to look into this company. I have emailed a friend at the FBI about this company. Very, very shady stuff. Be very careful when dealing with this horrible company.
I used their service to transfer some money to Bangladesh in bKash. But last three days I try to contact with them but they are not picking phone holding me few times more than 30 minutes but no response at all. They are not forwarding my money. This is really bad service. I'm attached phone call waiting time.

I made a transaction to Canada, and the money has not reached after 2 weeks, I have asked for a refund and they said they cant do it, but yet the funds have not gotten to the destination.
I believe the FCA needs to hold them accountable because people from the UK are loosing a lot of money to them and the management is no doing anything about it.
Lately this company cancelled two of my transaction without any reason. Worst thing is first it accept credit card on their webpage and after 4-5 days will inform card not acceptable! This happened two times with me. Only answer their customer service will that payment gateway not accepting it and they can't do anything about it. So unsure about the future of my transaction with them anymore. Not using their service now.
I tried to use them to send money. They took the money, then cancelled the transaction, When I inquired they said I didn't meet their criteria, when I asked what criteria, then said they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone then froze my account. They're a waste of time and maybe just an email and account collection service.
I used to use WorldRemit to send money home to South Africa. When I logged in to try and send this week, I kept getting redirected to a page to download their app. I send maybe one transfer a month, so downloading their app, wasting space on my phone and sharing personal information didn't appeal.
Not using them anymore. Forcing your customers to use an app when they don't want to is stupid and will cost them customers.
I cancelled a transaction last Monday and they still have not authorised the cancellation yet and they won't give me my money back, please please don't use this company because they are a waste of time and they are not willing to help you with any enquiries that you have got with them!
Used World Remit to transfer money to Pakistan. They told me that the local partner has locked the transaction. Called them several times and every time I am told the same story local partner locked the transaction and will request them to unlock the transaction but no action is taken. To this date, they have not returned my money.
They are running a scam please stay away from them.
Very bad service, someone in their service deleted my account just after I made my first transfer and gave no reason at all. I had to block my credit card by precaution, and I had a lot of troubles because I was abroad, don't trust them at all!
Wish I could give zero rating for the customer care support. Recently I have made transaction to one of my bank account however somehow the recipient account information got changed. Receiver's bank account number, name & IFSC is not matching still world remit has transferred the amount to some incorrect customer. I have requested many times for them to reverse the transaction has beneficiary bank has confirmed me that they will refund the amount but reversal process must be initiated by world remit however World remit keep giving me some wage reply and they did not initiate the process and finally they mentioned 60 days window is over and they cannot reverse the transaction. Be very careful before using this App
World remit has not refunded my money for over a month. The recipient never received the money so it was supposed to be refunded to me. My debit card was also compromised by this crooked company. Send your money by Western union and be safe.
I sent 2 transactions on 8/29 due to a family emergency. As of today September 7th, the same message of funds with local partner. Clearly the option of receiving funds within an hour is false. Customer service is non existence. Have made several calls with an average wait time of 45 minutes to an hour and still no customer service at all. Went to the site to cancel both transactions on September 1st, says it'll take 3-5 business days to process refund. Day 6 and STILL NO REFUND. World Remit, I want my money back ASAP! I'm on the phone waiting to talk to someone as i'm typing this, 30 minutes so far and no one. I just want my money back, this delay has cost me a lot in dealing with aftermath of not receiving funds needed by my family. Will NEVER use World Remit again!
I sent money to my mum through this hungry Jokers, they did not credit my mums account, its been more than 1 month and they have been giving a run around on my hard earned dollars. They asked for her bank statement which I sent to them, followed up with one of their customer service agent who looked at the statement and confirmed that the payment wasn't indeed credited, she told me their local partners will credit my mums account within 2 business days, that never happend its going to 2 months now and they are turning me back and forth. If you like don't listen to all the reviews, you will be the next reviewer here. Learn from me and others.
This is one of the first services that pops up when you google "send money to__" and naturally, I trusted that. Wrong. It boils down to a scam, folks. After realizing they could not provide the service I required, I went on a wild goose chase trying to delete my account and unsubscribe from their incessant emails. Their phone # leads to a voice message on a useless loop, despite the website indicating you must contact them to delete or unsubscribe. The customer service email I sent came back to me saying it was "no longer in use." And the chat feature on the website is bogus - you can't click on it. Left with no option but to email the privacy complaints email, privacyusa at worldremit.com, and I'm still waiting for a response.
Strongly recommend using a different platform. Been using thier services for 1 1/2 years to provide direct to help the poor with food and medicine. Recided a account disabled email out of the blue saying I "don't pass their security requirements". What on earth does that mean? Customer service said security reviewed and dicision is non reversible but won't give a reason other than to read the Terms and Conditions. I read the T&C's and there was none that I broke that I see. Just used thier platform to send money to those in need. Wrote an email to owner Ismail Ahmed, but doubt I'll hear back.
Just dealing with a horrible experience with you guys, customer service is absolutely horrible. No clear information or response. Have done transaction more than 5 days ago still hasn't happened. Keep blaming the partner you guys use, it is not customer's problem if your partner doesnt do there job. You should be owning the responsibility. I have finally requested for cancellation and that is even more wague on what happens next.
You guys have put me in a terrible situation especially when transaction needed to be urgent. I would be raising this on all forums possible. I have requested to raise a formal complaint three times in an email and not once the customer service staff bothers to acknowledge it. Horrible service, avoid at all costs
I used Worldremit for the first time (i should have done a google search on them) to send money to a friend. Worldremit had the lowest fees and seemed to be the most convenient. After they took my money, they disabled my account. A quick search on them would have saved me the headache. This appears to be they way they operate. They take your money and then disable your account for no reason. DO NOT USE THEM! 1
