Out of the blue yesterday thry just sent me email my account was disabled with no tangible explanation after been a customer for years... is that how you treat your customers? Was a fun of theirs until they treated me this way... havent even gotten a reply to my email yet still waiting though... SMH...
Hi. Not sure if scam but certainly dont recommend. I did 3 xfers through them and 1 was ok and took 2 days, ($1000 AUD) arrived finally, one other took 3 days and about 3 phones calls and three emails all asking same compliance questions repeatedly. Last one is still missing after 3 days and again multiple emails and calls to chase up and to date 4/2/21 still no word and support cannot help. To reverse the transaction they say will take 7 days. Absolute rubbish and closing my account soonest.
Go elsewhere if you can.

October 2020 till now ( today is 23rd of March 2021)... I am still waiting for my refund from World Remit.
They claim they sent the money back November 19th 2020- 4 MONTHS.
Every time I call, they give me the same lip service.
This is intentional on their part.

Customer service is really awful. No respect for client, not professional. Receiving money is problem when they change the order of your names and then say: This is not the right order. MoneyGram is 100% better.
This time my transaction was hold for reasons I do not understand. Waitingtime for telephone inquiry approx 25 minutes, and i had to call several times.
Worlremit is not reliable anymore for me.
The service is terrible.

This company is horrible, I sent money to Rwanda and it's been weeks with no response and I keep calling and their agents keep telling me that they are following up. This is absurd! Beware of this company, its not trustworthy send your money elsewhere please!
I asked for a refund and got an email i need to provide more information. Downloaded the app and i keep getting the same error( connection lost, http 401 unauthorised) when trying to find an email to contact there isnt one.
Attempted my first transaction with this service. Transaction was denied and i was blocked from using their service. Called customer service and they won't tell me why, the say that they are not "legally obligated to do so" and asked me to find another service to complete my transfers. Unbelievable.
It is impossible to wade through your website and get anything done. 6 months ago your site was good and easy to use. Now, I can't figure out how to ship to a person I have been helping for over a year. Take your website back to the way it was and I might use your site again.
Do not do business with these people, they are terrible and will steal your monies. Be warned they will bock your account for no reason then you will not be able to get your money back. Just use Western Union, easier and safer
I attempted to send $1,500 to a very impoverished friend in Brazil to purchase a new cellphone and to help cover some medical bills. Worldremit decided that I could not exercise my own free will, with my own funds, to help a friend pay for these life expenses. WorldRemit told me they felt the transaction was fraudulent and a scam, even though I assured them it was not. They asked if I would be sending money in the future and I said yes, to help my friend pay for more dental and medical bills. 10 minutes later, I received an email message stating that Worldemit has canceled my account, but they would not tell me why. They will refund my money in 7 to 10 days. I was livid. But there are many other money transfer services. So I just found someplace than was more rational. I cannot say enough bad things about this experience with Worldremit. The world needs kindness, not judgement.
I signed up to make a small purchase, less than $100, from Germany. After creating an account and giving my credit card info, I was asked for a front and back picture of my driver's license as well as a "selfie" picture. This done and email verification that all was good, 5 days passed. 3 days in I could no longer access my account via website and had to install the app. 2 days later, with the transfer pending, I attempted to log in only to find my account disabled. No explanation at all. I called my credit card company and told them to stop any funds from going to this ripoff company. I then proceeded to use Xoom and the funds were transferred within 48 hours. I am now left to worry what these people may do with a photo of my ID complete with signature. If you plan to use these worthless idiots, make sure you have good fraud protection.
Had done three payments with them and I thought they were ok. Then I wanted to pay a girl who needed money urgently. I didn't trust it so asked her to show me some guarantees the she was telling me truth. I already made the payment by Worldremit so that when this girl would bring me the proof of what i asked her I could send her the code to get her paid out. The next day this girl send me already a message to thank me. I was surprised because I never gave her the code! When I wrote the Worldscam about it asking to refund me they suspended my account! Can you imagine that?
I used world remit three previous times without a problem. The last time I used it there was a problem and the money was not delivered. I tried to cancel the transaction without success and made 2 calls waiting on the line for hours. Both people I spoke to said they would correct the problem but I still have not received my money.
I used Worldremit for almost a year and the service is OK. I ran into a problem that can easily be fixed and the Custom Service department will not look into it. Customer Service is horrible. They are inept and non responsive. They will tell you that it will be up to business days to receive a refund. They tell you that to get you off the phone and wait, there is no refund coming. Use at your own risk.
I wanted to send money to a friend in Nepal for pickup. I set up a World Remit Account, then initiated the transfer. To do this, I had to place my debit card in my account. I received a confirmation email and saw that a withdrawal was initiated from my account. Five days later, on the day the money was to be available I tried logging into my account and received the message "account disabled" I then looked at my bank account, and the withdrawal no longer showed. I had received, and still haven't received an email as to why the transfer didn't occur, and why my account was disabled after 5 days. I spoke to the bank who said the transfer was left in pending status. To protect myself I cancelled my debit card and requested a new one. This was very concerning and makes me unsure as to how to transfer the money other than to use Western Union.
It is never their fault. They always excuse themselves with other companies. So, if you send money to Brasil and they charge you twice, they will tell you that they can not do any refunds because the money is in Brasil. Even if nobody has claimed the money in Basil and it is still in the bank. It has happened to my family four times. And the customer service is extremely BAD!
I have done hundreds of transactions over a number of years and suddendly, "This account is disabled." Once your account is disabled you cannot sign in to reach customer service and have to CALL the London number and if you do not have a transaction number you cannot get past their automated system. Once through all they will tell you is that they cannot tell you what happened but the approval process has been stopped and you cannot do business with them anymore. If you want to read their terms and conditions you might be able to figure it out but that is it on their end. They refuse to do business with the customer once the account has been disabled.
I tried sending money via worldremit on Sunday for a purchase and I followed all the instructions. Everything was good until I received an email stating that my transfer was canceled and my account disabled. I called my bank right away and they told me i had to wait since the transaction was still pending and it was the weekend. I decided to call Worldremit and I was on hold for less than 2 minutes. I spoke with Roxanne who assured me that my transfer was voided/canceled. Today is Tuesday and my pending transaction is no longer on my bank statement. After reading all the reviews, am just glad I got my money back.
Can u improve your app to have a specific line for MIDDLE NAME? I have used your app 3 times and 3 times I have to double send the money just because theres no middle name. Then you cannot amend the transaction so now I get double charged on my credit card. Why other apps like Remitly and Iremit can make this an easy transaction while you always make it a huge hassle for me considering you are charging me $11++ everytime for this kind of service? I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this kind of problem from you. Its not a complicated fix that you cannot manage and I hope u do it asap because you will be losing a lot of customers!
