The company's reputation presents a mixed landscape. On the positive side, many customers appreciate the product's utility for international travel, highlighting its effectiveness and cost-saving potential compared to local SIM cards. Customer service experiences vary significantly; while some users commend specific agents for their helpfulness, a substantial number express frustration over unresponsive support and unresolved issues. Common complaints include service reliability, unexpected fees, and difficulties in obtaining refunds. Overall, the company appears to have a dedicated user base that values its offerings, but significant improvements in customer service and transparency are essential to enhance overall satisfaction.

I pent a lot of money purchasing a Hawaii and world sim data bundles while Europe. The World Sim website does not work correctly on iPhone or iPad and some the bundles were not showing in my account. Therefore they couldn't be used. Once back in Australia they were working but too late to used so wasted. No refund given when it was Worls Sim's fault that I couldn't use it.
The data SIM card is very useless as it does not work. I sent it back and they sent me another one with the same result lost my money and time
Before departure I did top up for 150 for 14days trip tro europe and everyday I check for the balances and quite easy to drop and for 14 days trip it's almost 120 lost meaning with this package still expensive. Now alot of competitors overing more cheaper than Worldsim. Hope you can learn from them
Bought my Wifi modem with £50 preloaded credit and used it in Austria... credit all swallowed up within 24 hours... VERY UNIMPRESSED AND DID NOT BOTHER TO TOP UP. Never again...
First time user. It was easy to activate, top up and check my balance & usage history. The rates are great. Having a phone sure adds convenience on our trip to Europe.
Service is very bad, and for the price it is cheaper to buy a local SIM Card. I spent a month in South Africa and the SIM and my data bundles worked for no more than 5 days, I spent the rest of the time reporting my issues to their help desk. Would not reccomend.
I feelncheated because when I bought the WorldSim in an KLM flight, the information did no say that it did not include internet. I need the sim chip mainly for internet use, not for calling.
Fast delivery. I'm always happy buying stuffs from this company.
I haven't used my WorldSIM since I was charged US$60 for going online for 2 minutes. Need I say more?
I have never experienced service as bad as this before, ever! Your auto top never works and i spend valuable time trying to get through to your service department. Your data tarrifs are ridiculously expensive and non of your customer service agents seem to be able to help me gt a different plans or answer my questions!
Just appaulled.
Use in USA work fine first few days but then gave technically difficult to complex configeration, Ipass not good only work in Time square. Data may b better if are explain how to set up in For America and voice call. Lost lots of money. But some staff are very helpful. And some lack of tech knowledge. I will try again.
I add 50 bucks of credit and purchased 50 bucks of plan. They drawn all credit immediately and did managed to use the service.
We took delivery of 2 NEW Sims to replace our OLD Sims, and take over their numbers - ************** and **************.
After some problems the NEW Sims worked on their numbers, but when they were transferred to our OLD Sim numbers and £Sterling credit converted to US$ we have not been able to use our phones - we can call OUT, but nobody can call IN. We have lost hours of our time "chatting" with your support people, but we have no success. This is totally unsatisfactory.
This might feel heavy but this reflects in its build quality. Its a pleasure to use and i look forward to take it on my travels. This review is for the tablet. World sim are a great company who have sorted out any quiries.
Signal was not the best and was actually cheaper to text from my uk number and people can call cheaper to my uk number. Also spent ages trying to get internet working on my i phone followed all instructions and never did work, bit of a con that u tell uk customers its a uk number but its classed as achannel island number so callers get charged
WorldSIM are actually scamming customers real badly as they claim that you get cheap or free roaming (receiving / making calls) when you are abroad.
BUT what they don't tell you is that for many of the people who call you, they can end up paying almost £1.00 a minute (in many cases) to call you. This means if someone calls you for 1 hour they would have a bill of around £50 just to call you, on what seems to be a UK number but in fact, is an Isle of Man number and those numbers incur a charge, or in WorldSIM's case their numbers are chargeable to call when dialled from UK networks.
WorldSIM has known this issue for 5 years as it was reported to them when people complained to me that they called me on my WorldSIM number and had a £30 bill for roughly 30 mins of calling me.
At that time, the WorldSIM team all knew about this issue (it wasn't a surprise to them) and they made up same lame excuses. They cheekily refused to refund the money that UK callers were charged to call their numbers.
5 years later whilst on another travel, people who called me on the WorldSIM number got large bills with one of the callers getting a bill of almost £100 for calling me for less than 2 hours. As usual, WorldSIM knew about the issues, made their regular deflection statements and refused to compensate the callers.
It's just a shame that they make money from customers whilst having this major costly flaw which they try to keep a huge secret.
I am surprised that WorldSIM still operates in the UK when many people who call their numbers receive these major charges.
The issue is not new, they don't inform their customers that people who call them will most likely get huge call charges, they don't inform the callers and they don't compensate. My guess is that most people who only call a WorldSIM number for a few minutes won't realise they are being charged and only those who make long duration calls get a large bill and notice.
WorldSIM seems like the scam of the decade and has cost me reputation and money.
We bought a WorldSim Pocket WiFi device onboard a SQ flight to SIN in January. Our credit was instantly used up while setting up the device in the transit area of Singapore airpot without actually being able to go onto the internet. Having arrived in NZ we contacted WorldSim for help. I must admit the guy I spoke to (using free WiFi from a restaurant) was quick to respond. However he told me we'd been using the 'wrong' network and I would need to top up if I wanted to continue the service. Of course we did, since we wanted to use the device while travelling. I asked how to find out what the 'preferred' networks were and how to connect to them - but only got vague answers.
The idea of the device is brilliant - but I'm hesitant about topping up any more money, before travelling to the US, in case we lose it all again. HELP!
I ordered (AND PAID FOR) my World SIM card almost 2 months ago, and originally the order was delayed because APPARENTLY they needed to verify my identity. This in itself wouldn't bother me, but they never told me they needed to! So they just didn't ship the card and by the time we sorted it out, I had left already. We made arrangements to send the card to my first destination on my trip, but they put the wrong address, so after 1.5 weeks or waiting, I find that the item was being returned to sender. I gave up and asked them to send the item directly to a post office so I can pick it up (hoping it would be quicker) and I was told they would ship it out immediately (I only had 1 more week in that location). After being told 3 times that the item would be shipped immediately, it still hasn't been shipped and I leave in 2 days! Overall the customer service has by abysmal and they make promises that they don't keep. Every time I call the customer service, I speak to another agent and have to fill them in on the entire history, despite having the order number and ticket number for the issue! I have to double check with them for every detail, and I have to call back in every day or 2 to check up on what is happening as I haven't received any information regarding the issue! Terrible customer service and I can't even get the stupid product! It has been 2 months!
The U. K. number provided will not accept any incoming international calls, including those made from their own recommended roaming partner networks.
Their technical department has been working on it for one week, and finally customer service told me that if the WorldSIM card doesn't work it's my problem, and I have to contact each and every one of their roaming partners to ask them to fix the problem with the WorldSIM sim card. They even told me to provide them with feedback from their own roaming partners about the cause of the problem. They also refuse to refund the cost of the faulty WorldSIM card.
If you need reliability and good service, look elsewhere.
I agree about WorldSim. I had one of their sims 10 years ago and used it for years while I was living outside the UK it made calls cheaper.
I recently bought 2 sims, 1 doesn't work and the other does work but I have been unable to make a single call from it, only receive.
I asked their online chat help desk if there were any charges for incoming calls I was told no, only to find out once I was travelling that there were charges on weekends etc. I was charged $30 for a 10 min call that should have cost $3! Had to call and scream to get a refund and even then was told it was a "goodwill gesture".
The phone regularly cuts mid conversation, my friends have told me that they have got through to random people while calling my number. And most recently I was charged $20 for a call I didn't make, to a number I don't know, in a country I know no one. It's been a week since they started to 'look into the issue' and still no one is getting back to me all they say is speak to our online help desk! What's the point if no1 is dealing with the issue.
They are dire, a waste of time, added stress when you're on a break and don't want that, and you always need to be near a PC/internet to get to the helpdesk!
Don't trouble yourself, they are thieves, untrustworthy, terrible service, and unreliable!

Answer: To set up data, I believe you require to set the APN as mobiledata. And their return is around 2 weeks from the day you receive the product.
Answer: THey never answer and if they answer they just say we will solve your problem and they never do. Stay away from world sim card. They are cheeting. No solution, no nothing. I cannot call UK numbers 0044. Hi Bianca, we really appreciate your feedback on auto tops ups we will look into it as a matter of urgency. With regards to data charges, do you not know about data bundles? They are very low cost and about 80% cheaper than pay as you go data. Last time we checked we were the cheapest operator for roaming. We will also introduce an unlimited data bundle soon. With regards to customer service is there anything in particular we can help you with so you can get the best out of your SIM?
