After the sale I had to contact Worthy two times as to where our money was. Although you are told it would take 10 to 15 days, our money took a bit longer. We bank with an international bank not a local institution so the length of time was unnecessary.
I sent in a ring and a necklace to sell. They had me take a picture of the ring and send it to them. In none of the communications did it say that the items had to meet their criteria to sell them. I mailed the items the next day and the day after that, I got an email stating that my items are not the kind of items that they want to sell. They had not even seen the necklace yet. The items arrived at their location and the next day they sent me another email stating that there was not enough demand in their marketplace to sell my items. They wanted to return them to a staffed fed ex location two hours away from me. Went thru all the rigamarole to get my items sent back to my home address. Would not recommend them unless you have very high-end jewelry. Apparently, that is all they are looking for. They should screen items better to save people time of sending their items in.
Worthy made it so easy and transparent to sell my ring! I loved getting frequent updates throughout the process, and the GIA grading report was extremely thorough. I can't recommend this service enough!

Worthy offers a seamless process for selling your used jewelry. They communicate every step of the way and keep the process moving. They provide a one stop shop for selling, which leads to them taking a hefty cut of the proceeds. I ended up with less than 1/4 of the appraised value and less than 1/2 retail price. But I likely got more than a pawn shop or private sale with less hassle so if you just want to get rid of it and put a chunk of change in your bank account, this is a great option.

I sent them a ring that has recently been purchased for $6k….I needed the money more than the ring so I gave them a shot. They appraised it and put it up for auction.
They recommended a "reserve price" of $343 and said that I shouldn't make it any higher than that or the ring won't sell. Me being naive, and having no experience with auctions I went with it. The auction lasted several days and the final bid at the end was $443. When I asked for my ring back, they said it was no longer in their possession.
I'm absolutely devastated! If I would have known that ring would've went for a measly $400 I would have just kept it. DO NOT TRUST THEM WOTH YOUR JEWELRY! I wish I'd read the reviews beforehand…now someone has a $6k ring for $400. Thanks Worthy. After their fees I got a little over $300.

As part of preparing your jewelry for auction, your ring was professionally cleaned and photographed by our expert team, and your center diamond was graded by the GIA, an industry-leading expert in diamond grading. Our recommended reserve price was determined by comparing the objective third-party grading report for your diamond and auction performance for jewelry pieces of comparable components and quality. As a reminder, you were given complete control to start your auction at our suggested amount or to set your own reserve price. Prior to starting your auction, you were required to acknowledge your understanding that once an offer meets or exceeds your set reserve price, the sale is final.
Although we were able to help you reach an offer that exceeded the reserve price you set, we are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the outcome of your auction. With that said, we also stand by our completely risk-free process that allows you to decide the minimum amount your jewelry sells for, regardless of the current market demand. All unsold jewelry is returned at no cost, in the same condition originally received.
To ensure you have realistic expectations when selling pre-owned jewelry, it is important to first understand that in a resale market, it is very likely for diamond jewelry to be sold for a significantly lower amount than what was originally paid. Retail prices commonly include markups for any overhead costs and profit margins that do not transfer over to a secondary market. These added costs are not part of a jewelry piece's intrinsic value and therefore will likely not be part of what a buyer will consider paying. Market demand can also shift over time, changing what buyers are looking for and what they are willing to pay for certain characteristics.

It was so quick and easy to sell my late fathers unused engagement ring and wedding band. They'll be very nice and attentive until the product doesn't sell. The. Towards the end of after the bidding process they no longer call u to inform u of things don't send out correct emails. Sent my ring to a far Fedex location instead of directly to my home (where it was picked up from). When I called they lady had so much attitude and could not send me a copy of the said email. They'll bid and you won't get much, the jeweler offered me more. You'll waste more time than anything, not to mention who knows if they switch your diamond now I have to go get it checked. What a mission.

I thought that worthy would be able to get me a better price on my ring because that's what they advertise. What a joke that was. My local jewelers and pawn shop offered me more. The only thing positive is that the people I spoke to were nice. Other than that, total waste of my time. Don't believe what you see on their commercials.

Don’t advertise you can get someone over $7000 and show a picture of a ring that’s basically nothing. False advertisement.

The only thing I didn't like is that the platform aggressively pressures you to set your minimum acceptable bid very low — I increased it by about 20% though and it sold. I think I could have gotten more elsewhere (or paid a lower commission) but it was worth it for me to get it done with little effort. The team was very responsive to questions and I got paid quickly.

I had a previous wedding ring with a 2.33 ct center diamond & 2.88 ct diamonds next to it that I wanted to sell, but was super hesitant to send it off to Worthy. I had checked around and got really poor estimates for it so finally decided to take a chance and send it off to Worthy after talking to Rachel. He was the one who guided me through every step and kept me informed. I never stressed; if I had a question he answered it in under thirty minutes (I've never had such incredible customer service before!) Kendall let me know that he received my jewelry and every single step that the piece was undergoing; I felt like I was taking a ride with the necklace!
