Worthy

This company is not as advertised. They told me they expected my piece of jewelry to sell for about $2000 based on the GIA certification. Once they had it, they downgraded the reserve price to &694. One of their people actually told me that the reserve price was not binding! This is not true. The terms and conditions say that if you set a reserve price and it sells, you are obligated to sell the ring. I couldn't believe they told such an obvious lie. I managed to get the ring back and sold it to a jeweler for more than $1300.

The process was smooth overall. The communication and customer service was excellent on the front end of the process but it decreased in the middle of the process. The auction process was good and worthy was definitely looking out for me as the seller to acquire the best price. The only thing I would suggest is to read your fine print. The 18% service charge that worthy takes after you sell your item is not discussed but it is in the very fine print. Thank you worthy for your help!

Very easy experience! I was really surprised. I received an email when my ring arrived at Worthy, I received an email when it was unmounted. It went to the live auction and I received more than my reserve. Very happy!

The process was user-friendly; clear directions and great communication. I felt I was in great hands and the only work I really had to do was find packaging for the ring and once sold, wait for the money to be deposited! It was truly an easy and carefree process.

I found this company by searching for auctions that were accredited by the BBB. They took care of absolutely everything needed to get my ring auction ready. They insured the ring during transit so that I had no worries sending it off. They asked my permission before altering the ring or my auction in any way. It was easy to grant permission because the website is super easy to use. By the time my auction was finished, I was not happy with my highest bid. I reached out to my auction manager, Ornella, to ask if I could reauction my ring. She suggested that we instead negotiate with the highest bidder. They ended up accepting our counter offer. It is unfortunate that we don't get what we initially paid for our diamonds, but the good news is that this team will help you get all you can from their professional buyers.

The hardest part of the process was finding a box to mail my rings (Important to note that I could have waited a day for them to mail me a box). They kept me well informed throughout the process. I could call or text whenever I had questions. I was paid quickly. I have zero complaints. I highly recommend using Worthy.

I sent by ring to be auctioned by their company. It took well over the timeframe they said. When I finally received my "estimated" auction value it was so far below the appraised value by the jeweler who made the ring in 2018 but another independent jeweler in 2019. It is insured for almost 70% more than what worthy said. I will be contacting the Attorney General in my state foir fraud

It was a pleaure to work with Josh in selling my diamond. He answered questions promptly, was very reassuring, and the whole thing was done in a few days. The outcome was literally forty percent greater than the estimates I got elsewhere (and this is after the commission!). I couldn't rate Worthy more positively. Simply the best.

This option to use Worthy was a recommendation from my local jeweler. I was a little nervous at first in sending a diamond ring to an unknown person/company but they answered all my questions and was really overall a great experience. They kept me in the loop the entire time and I watched the Auction live real time. Profits due to me were direct deposited to my bank. Overall a great experience.

Hi - I used Worthy ( for the 2nd time) to sell an old heirloom ring. Although their inspection found a chip in the diamond (which meant it wasn't worth as much as I thought), their was good bidding interest and it sold above the suggested reserve price. I recd payment 2 days after the sale. Would absolutely use the service again!

After getting quoted at a local pawn shop for $600 for my ring, I sent it to Worthy to see if I'd be able to get more for it. The process was very easy and straightfoward. Worthy had appraised my jewelry for $1100 and I accepted an offer for $90 less than that. I'm happy with my experience with worthy---I just am really bummed used diamonds and gold aren't worth even close to what I had anticipated. My wedding band set was originally ~$4400 10 years ago.

Worthy was so easy! They sent me prepackaged boxes to send my ring in. They cleaned my ring and took pictures so quickly. They gave me a price, which I thought was fair so I set my ring at the price. I got $10 over which I was thrilled about. Highly recommend!

Even though I did not get nearly what I wanted for my mom's rings, the entire experience from start to finish was smooth and professional and I would recommend Worthy to anyone seeking to sell their fine jewelry.

I would recommend Worthy. You will be happy with this process if you have reasonable expectations for your jewelry. Meaning you are likely not going to get what your item might appraise for – there has to be room for everyone to make money.

Overall I am happy with everything. Some things that went really well were: the overall process, the communication, the shipping was very easy and the automated emails and texts let me know what was happening at all the steps. They GIA grading took longer than expected but they informed me of that. The auction itself was easy to set-up and see where the bids were coming in and how much.

I think there are some small things that I would recommend to Worthy just to make things even better and help eliminate customer questions:

1) Clarify if they want GIA certificates: I had one. I followed the shipping instructions and didn't send any paperwork. Was later told the GIA would have been helpful to have
2) The auction length: The site indicated most were 48 hours. Mine was 72. I'm not sure how they decide the length but it would be helpful to know the length at the point you are setting up the auction.
3) Any promotional offers: if you sign up for a promotional offer – follow up to confirm with them. It would be awesome if there was a place in your account to see what you are signed up for, or even better if it was integrated into the screens where you set-up your auction

So easy! Fill out some info and they send you a prepaid package to send your ring. Great communication every step of the way. I was paid within a few days. Would definitely recommend.
