Mike Technician 7092 was the most knowledgeable, professional, efficient, personal, technician we have ever had to our house, and we have had quite a few. He took his time to figure out what was going on, went above and beyond what any other tech has ever done for us. He is definitely a asset to WowWay, and should be training technicians. Thank you Mike we have had so many negative experiences with Wow and you changed our opinion. Great Experience.
I scheduled someone to come out and re-hook-up my internet atleast 15 times and no one came. They sent tech that was unable to re-hook-up my internet. Tech stated that they would send someone that day. It has been 3 weeks and, when I called, they Said it would be another 8 days. Their phone calls are answered in the Philippines! There is no communication and they lie when they tell you they are coming Stay away from this company. I would pay double just to have someone else. But I live in condo and the President signed a 2 year contract! They suck!
They have lied to me about stuff a number of times and their internet service is blah at best and never gives half the download speed I pay for. Gonna dump them come the new year and go back to Comcast. I didn't realize how good I had it when I used to have them as my provider.
I've never publicly dissed a company, but the problems I've had with WOW are so exasperating, that I think I should warn others. Bottom line, you can't trust what any of the people say. They are nice, that is, they apologize incessantly, but that doesn't make the wrongs right. Just avoid the aggravation by not falling for their niceness, and very misleading or untrained personnel upfront. It's not worth it.
Be advised: For 13 months, WOW has auto drafted our corporate account under a legally binding contract by more than $180 monthly plus all applicable taxes. The representative claims to only be able to refund our account for 6 months, or less than half of the contractual over charges. A complaint with FTC and the attorney general has been made.
I've been a wow customer for about 12 year now. The internet has always been so. I recently dropped cable to start streaming and upgraded to 1 gig and have had nothing but problems with internet. When you call support you get foreigners with bad English and American names lol. And they are of no help. I'am canceling service on Thursday and looking forward to my new internet provider

When I moved to a new city in November 2019 after my husband passed away, a WOW agent came to my door asking me to sign up for cable service. I signed a 2 year contract and he stated that under no circumstances will my rate increase over the next 2 years. Well I just received my statement and the rate has increased! Customer service couldn't help and I've contacted the corporate office over a week ago but of course they haven't responded. I even called the guy who sold me the service and his phone # goes directly to AT& T! I feel they have cheated and lied to me and are taking advantage of me. So on the advice of an attorney, he said to start with making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I also referred 11 people to WOW... so they are also awaiting my outcome before they cancel their service. But I do have to admit, the cable service has been good... no issues at all. It's just their customer service department and their method of treating their customers that is sub par.
Every f-cking day the service goes out. You call tech support and they act like they have NEVER HEARD of any issues with there mucked service. The clown on the phone wants to send a Tech out and bill me 99.00. I can't believe this outrages $#*!. Unfortunately it's the only provider in my area
Switched to WOW+. Huge mistake. Sporadic picture and video problems. I even avoid certain channels because it's so irritating to watch. Forget their customer service reps. Little to no help. That's if you can even understand them. I even talked (?) to one rep that I had to constantly ask to repeat herself because I barely could understand her and there was a rooster constantly screeching in the background. It would be a joke if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive. Need to find another provider.
So we got WOW and couple of years ago and wow, it's a pile of $#*!. We get a problem at least once a month and I don't understand why my family is not switching off of it. We had a power outage for 30 seconds and we are on our third time calling for support in 24 hours. The internet for the fourth time today has crashed, I just did a speed test and got 800 ms. Absolutely atrocious, they are always unhelpful and it makes sense why they are so cheap. I do give the company credit for having good cable and good internet when it works. They are primarily focused on cable, a dying media and barely care about their internet services. Pathetic excuse for a company.
Tech support was unable to resolve my most recent disconnect - again. They just disconnected me when I asked for a credit to my bill for a 5 day period of not being able to connect. Good news - they'll send a tech to check the line and MY MODEM. My modem is new and has been working without any problems - until someone at WOW does some sort of "maintenance" and my connection goes out. If it wasn't a monopoly, I would kick them to the curb and switch to some other incompetent company.
Awful Internet and Customer service. There is an obvious system problem that WOW is not willing to fix. They keep giving the run around. Sent out 3 service techs last week and didn't fix anything. Last tech said he would have to contact a supervisor and they would have to come out to assess the problem. Received on phone call and I gave him the gist of the problems. He never came out! I call back the number he gave me and he won't return my calls. If I call the main line I get someone in a different country that just goes down the check list. Super frustrating and TERRIBLE company!

With so many choices, why settle for inferiorly frustrating service? I have never written a negative review for any company prior; but, the wowway customer service was just so bad that I felt a need to warn possible future customers. Consumer Beware!
We tried to get our cable in for three days they could not do it, they sent a guy out on sat.he did not say a thing he had it done in two hours. He was one of the best they have they need to keep people like that
I keep receiving bills from WOW stating I owe over $300.00.
I had to contact the company a second time to get a return package to return the equipment with.
I was informed that a needed to return the equipment within 30 days (which I did, kept receipt) I would be all set. Not sure what is going on...I phoned to only be put on hold and told to pay the whole sum...the service people did not know what to do? So i keep getting billed a monthly payment plus the equipment fee when I have cut off service a month ago?...I do not want to take any more of my personal time dealing with this issue, when it is the company who is not following through?
Zero Stars - the 4th company to occupy my plant since 1996 - and the absolute worst in cable history. Bad video signal, bad data baud rate, the worst imaginable customer service in any industry in the history of mankind. If they go bankrupt and their entire staff goes on welfare, we will all save money.
I only need internet. While other companies charge a lot more, I was able to get internet for $39.99 a month. The staff at the call center were friendly, knowledgeable and did not try to upsell me. The tech who came out to run the line was fast, efficient. It's not a huge company, but it services my area. I would never go back to the other local provides now. I can see why the call it WOW!
Wowway needs to fire their customer service agents because it seems every time I call I get someone who neither speaks English without a strong Indian accent or they can't understand a clear and specific statement. My anti-virus software provider has been attempting to send me e-mails but they have not been coming through because the Wowway server is filtering-out all emails coming from that source. If that wasn't bad enough, I have called Wowway three times about this and each time got an agent who spoke with a strong Indian accent and who somehow could never understand my clear statement that their server was blocking the emails and that source needed to be put on their list of trusted sources. On each call I had to repeat my complaint multiple times and their response was to ask me for irrelevant information.
I'm still angry that WOW closed our local office. At least when the office was still in existence I could talk fact-to-face with a person who was American and spoke and understood English! I hate having to talk on the phone to someone in another country who doesn't speak or understand English. Maybe I'll try another provider but I don't know which one. If WOW would reopen the offices and hire only Americans for customer service I would consider staying.
On chat I went to add my mother to the account. I was told to call in, which I did, yet she was never added. I was told she would receive an email in 2 days, that never arrived.
I was forced to call again and it turns out she was never added.
Looks like WOW's internal quality control needs to check on this bulls##### and correct his actions.

shop around and change services, customer retention usually gets the hint. it costs at least 3 times to get a new customer.

If they had five star rated customer service maybe a three star rating.
To run a company customer service better be crisp and reliable.
Then the rest falls in line.

I have been with you for almost 10 years. I was told I would be paying $148.per month for 12 months starting Feb.It is now June. You tried over charging me last month. I opened the bill for July.It has gone up to $161. I was told I was getting the special rate. She said it was subject to change. Now, I have a contract for 12 months. You are lying to your customer's.It is insulting and we know it. I am not the only one. For these 12 months I will look at other option.It has got to the point My trust in your service is gone.
I wouldnt even wish this internet apon your worst enemy. I rather do back flips on a high traffic highway then use this dog $#*! again. -8 out of 10

My cable went out at 1:30 on 27 Sept 2022 just BEFORE IAN devastated Florida. BUT my area was essentially unaffected by either wind or water. After calling WOW! For service I received a recorded message that said all the offices were closed until further notice. 24 hrs later I still have no service. I've been told several times via a recorded messages that "service will be resumed shortly". Have tolerated short outages over the last years BUT not in this case of a major disaster. Unconscionable and unforgivable in the least!
Besides expensive they cut mom's services without warning and she couldn't contact her family. They said her spam was concerning. That implies they are watching what we do. Also tucker Carlson show was blacked out so that was suspicious. Reasonably connectivity etc.
Absolutely the worst. This Internet and cable provider just is bad. It goes out a lot, and no matter how much they say their internet is good, it's trash. Do not consider it. I can't even stream a 3 minute 420p video without the Internet crashing. This is the worst internet and cable provider I've ever had. Even as I tried to write this review, the Internet went out and I had to use my phones data plan for SiteJabber to even come up. It really makes you think WOW! This provider sucks!
Disappointed. I referred a family member and my boyfriend and they both received their gift cards. I have not received one for both referrals. Both, gave my name on the phone when they set up the service and the assured them that I would be getting the referral. I called to follow up and they stated that since I didn't go online and fill out a form to put in their names, I will not be getting the referral. I wish that when the two of them called to set up their service, the sales person would of told them that I need to go online instead of saying "yes, we will make sure she gets the referral" Very disappointing since they push their referral program so hard.
