Mike Technician 7092 was the most knowledgeable, professional, efficient, personal, technician we have ever had to our house, and we have had quite a few. He took his time to figure out what was going on, went above and beyond what any other tech has ever done for us. He is definitely a asset to WowWay, and should be training technicians. Thank you Mike we have had so many negative experiences with Wow and you changed our opinion. Great Experience.
I scheduled someone to come out and re-hook-up my internet atleast 15 times and no one came. They sent tech that was unable to re-hook-up my internet. Tech stated that they would send someone that day. It has been 3 weeks and, when I called, they Said it would be another 8 days. Their phone calls are answered in the Philippines! There is no communication and they lie when they tell you they are coming Stay away from this company. I would pay double just to have someone else. But I live in condo and the President signed a 2 year contract! They suck!
Complete frustration with wow. Internet never works, dropping out cionstantly, costing me quite a bit in online poker. To make matters better their service techs seem to feel like the only possible issue is the box and they swap it out repeatedly after you spend an hour on the phone unplugging it over and over again. Lived at 2 address and have the same issues. Go elsewhere if you have options.
I'm not a WOW customer. They connected a cable to one of my neighbors and ran the cable across my yard to the neighbor on the other side. I don't know why because customer service doesn't know and they won't give me a local number to call. My backyard is always locked when I'm out. They had to climb my fence to put the cable in place. The customer service rep dropped a dime on them when she told me they are required to get the owners permission before entering their property. They can't even tell me when they will do something with the cable. Sometime between 1 and 5 on Friday. I have to stay home and wait for them to remove something I didn't ask for. They will probably charge me for the removal.
Good - Prior to ~2014, customer service was pretty good and connection speeds were consistent.
Bad - Customer service is really bad, I mean really. First, 75% of the time the tech cannot speak intelligible English. I live in a bilingual household with accents allover the board when it comes to relatives but these techs make no attempt to speak clearly. If you are lucky? Enough to get an American, then they simply do not care. TV is usually blaring in the background and they seem to always be eating.
Bad - Service in general. Any time between 4pm and 11pm, the connection speed (download) intermittently drops to zero. If you primarily surf or watch NetFlix at 3:00am then you're golden, otherwise it is frustrating.
Ugly - Comcast is an option where I live, not a great one but an option nonetheless. I switched my email to google account a couple of months ago and am ready to make teh jump. Have them coming to install this Friday.
We migrated to Wowway a little over 6 months ago, it in my opinion it was a huge mistake. Although I realize streaming is different from cable, I have to tell you, cost-wise, it isn't that significantly different, especially for the level of service, quality of reception and over-all customer experience. There's also little customer service to speak should you need tech help! We're stuck with this mess of a media system until my cheapskate husband gets it through his thick skull how God-awful Wowway is, but until them, I'll keep suffering screen freeze, reboots and burps in internet service. Wowway, I hate you.
Didn't show up twice for installation. Very unprofessional. Second appt. Scheduled by dispatch, Still no show. Dispatch couldn't even get in touch with technician on my 1st request for install. Not even calling this time. Received emails and texts confirming both "Appointments." Don't waste your time waiting.
Customer service reps have no idea what they are doing. No help. All day internet is not working. I contact WOW and get different stories. After long waiting time finally we get disconnected because WOW do not have reliable phone lines. Nithing else- just very bad internet provider including constanly interrupted service, low speed

We had the service at our old address. We cancelled it when we moved and sent back the equipment. After we had moved apparently the box with the modem in it got returned to our old address and then they lost track of it. 2 years later and wow is in our area now and I called to see about getting it at our new address. I'm informed that there is a $350 balance for un-returned equipment. I inform them that I did return it and I'm then told that they returned it to the old address and dont know where it is. So now I can't get new service from them because they lost the equipment and I have to jump through hoops to get the charge taken off because they lost something 2 years ago. Smart wowway real smart.
TERRIBLE customer service! Moved and was rudely refused a waiver of the termination fee even though I moved 200 miles away and WOW was not offered in my area. Supposedly I received a "discounted" price for agreeing to the termination clause. Interestingly, I am paying less than the "discounted" price for my current service. This company does not care about serving the customer, they are seeking only to serve themselves.
They have drop off places for their $#*!ty equipment. I dropped everything off. They lost my equipment. They tried charging me for the equipment and put out a delinquency on my credit score. I called them 5 times to get them to solve it. They did NOTHING all five times. They WOULDN'T do anything. Two months wasted and found shoved against a wall by them while they held my credit score hostage, I was forced to pay them for the equipment they lost.
Don't do business with them. They will rob you without a gun, but they will rob you non the less.
Wowway service is the worst reliable service I have ever encountered! Please do not use this service if you have options, as I lose connectivity at least 3 or 4 times a day as I now work from home. Other times I encounter outages from 30 minutes to a couple of hours!
Wowway internet is the worse internet not reliable in entire united state period just total garbage it is like you have 1mbs download and you expand trying to make 1 gig download it just won't happened technology they using is 100 years behind
Last night I had service technician Desmond, #*******, come to my home to install upgraded services for my TV and internet package. I can't say enough about how fantastic Desmond was. He went above and beyond to help my sister and I (we are very non-techy), and he worked into the evening hours to ensure we had our service up and working perfectly. He was so knowledgeable and any question I had to ask he was patient and kind and answered fully. I am just considering myself so lucky to have gotten Desmond as our technician when I called WOW after experiencing problems with our TVs. Thank you Desmond! And WOW, please know he is a gem!
WOW purchased my previous internet provider and immediately did the following: Turned off my service without notice or warning and demanded almost 4x the previous monthly bill to turn it on again. This was 10 days after the 'official switchover date' I later learned. I never used the WOW service.
After hours on the phone, I did not agree to their extortion. So they added the cost of the 8 year old cable modem (previous company's) to the bill.
So I went from a happy customer of 6 years with auto bill pay setup ($54) with the previous company to allegedly owing the new company $380, all within 14 days. I returned their modem and got a $200 credit. Now I have to fight their patently false collection attempts with over 15 hours invested. What a nightmare... and I never even used the new company's service because they turned it off. Wish I could leave a 0 star review. WOW, can a company be any worse?

They send you a online bill but they refuse to let you look at the billing statement. They are hiding the fact that they are billing you for equipment that you didn't sign up for. Their 1200 internet modems don't work right so to have to install a 2nd modem to handle your phone service. Now they bill you for the 2nd modem because of their faulty equipment. Their internet keeps shutting down ever hour. This 1200 modem is very slow. I recommend a different internet supplier.
Wow is not a company that cares if you work from home an you can perform your job because services were always out an when you call for service they want to charge you for a service call. Then when you have no choice but to switch cable providers they try to charge you for early termination, they can provide you with good service an reliable service they screw you with a fee not a company you want to be with.So they send you to collections instead of just realize that there service sucks

Wish there was an option for negative 1,000 stars... Lifelong Comcast customer... wanted to switch to WOW. Made the switch...
Result: 5 days without internet and 5 technicians later... had to go back to Comcast. Every single day without internet the "guaranteed/promised" I would have working internet.
We work from home and had to take "vacation days" because we didn't have working internet... also have 2 young kids at home... NIGHTMARE!
Technicians would just come over and do something in the back and then leave for the day without checking with us to see if the Internet was working. Oh and to get Comcast back out here to clean up the mess WOW created... ya it cost me $100.
So to summarize it up... I paid $100 out of my own pocket to NOT have internet for 5 days!
WOW of course wouldn't reimburse me for that because they are cowards. But, I get it, I'm just one customer out of hundreds of thousands.
Once a good company with good customer service now it has gone the way of overcharging, sending bills late, trying to get everyone on auto pay, not being able to effectively being able to communicate having to spend hours on the phone to try to talk to a live person, having to drive to an office to return equipment to a drop box and then continuously being charged for the returned equipment on subsequent bills. Where or where is the class action or legislative regulation.
Recently made a payment and when i entered it their system glitched. Then i checked my bank and it showed a pending charge. So i waited it out to see if it would post or fall off pending.
The payment posted into my bank account and now after WOW! Turned my internet back on for 2 days when someone saw where the payment went to, they have lost it and shut me off for non payment.
I am sure as hell not going to pay them twice and would give them negative stars for this if i had the chance. The fact different people cant seem to find what the hell is going on and theyve managed to lose a payment that should be applied when its been taken out of my account. This rating will only improve if they give me months of free service in return for this aggravation.
This is what my tv looks like after Wowless "fixed" it. I'm so hot right now! I called Wowless an hour and 10 minutes ago and my internet was WORKING. It just goes out every weekend. This is my 4th 1 + hour phone call to them since 11/3. Russel, the wonder tech did something and now I have NO INTERNET and they swear it wasn't him and it will be down until Wednesday night.! Please, if you are moving and Wowless in one of your options, please go with the other. I cannot say enough awful things about their service and their Customer Service.
WOWWAY customer service is one of the WORST! There is a person there who told me my price would NOT raise when I had several problems. She is NOW moved on to another job and doesn't remember telling me this! (YES, I know, should have gotten it in writing.) Didn't know if I should post her name but have decided to let her HR person know. I've tried contacting the CEO or anyone who would listen to no avail. NO ONE has given me the courtesy to help me. The Sr. Tech says the CEO passes concerns on to him... HUH? What kind of business is this? Their extremely high prices DO NOT meet the quality of their service. A person pays soooo much and receives terrible service. RUN from them!
Worst cable experience ever! 2 years ago, my family started working remotely and the internet wasn't able to keep up. I had WOW come out on 2 different occasions but they weren't able to fix the problem. So, they said they wanted to send someone else out in a couple weeks. My husbands was working from home and my kids were going to school remotely. I needed the internet to work so I terminated our contract. They weren't able to provide a service so I had to change companies. Now, 2 years later, creditors are calling me and WOW will not remove the charge from my account. They said they filed a dispute but they won't send me a copy of it and they are asking for proof from my end. They don't send out confirmation emails when they do anything so how am I supposed to provide proof? So frustrating! I will definitely share this experience in hopes someone else doesn't get harassed in the future.

My internet has ceased to function 9 times since 3pm, and it's now 7:30. This is an every day occurance. I gave up trying to watch live tv because of the constant disruptions. At least with my Roku channels I can resume them when the internet comes back.
Called yesterday because I got a nastygram about my bill. It was $342. I haven't even had their service for a month!
For the 4th time in a month, a tech is coming out to 'fix' the problem. I'm not feeling overly confident.
If you go to their website you'll find their review average is like 4.8. That's because ( they state it just before the reviews start) and I'm paraphrasing, if your review isn't slap full of wonderful we will delete it. Believe me. I've had several disappear.
In all my 65 years on this planet, I have NEVER dealt with a more despicable company. They lie, treat you like crap, and honestly, if there was another internet provider in my complex, I'd be gone so fast my giddy up would catch fire. STAY FAR AWAY!

I have had to suffer with this bull$#*! $#*! company for almost 15 years living with my family and it is damn near almost worse than dial up connection. They told us they would be out at our house between Friday and Saturday. They came today after my father spoke with them on the phone the pervious night before saying they will bring an extra modem and will have 100gb or whatever. Well when the worker came they said it wasn't in the paperwork... After they just promised us that but we didn't get it. I have absolutely no clue as to why my elderly parents deal with this piece of $#*! bull$#*! $#*! company. If I could I would give them a negative star review unfortunately I can not do that
Stay away from this company unless you want to deal with bull$#*! internet and cable connection on a DAILY basis. And are willing to pay for someone to come out and fix whatever issue it is that week every other week.
I have been with this company since it was Americast. I probably should have already left. To start they keep increasing rates (cable/internet package). When you have a problem with your email as I did a few months back, they disable it until you contact them without letting you know. Instead of trying to troubleshoot the issue, they just keep telling you to run anti-virus scans, even when those turn up nothing. It turned out I had a trojan that was following my keystrokes, so they were of no help. In addition, there are multiple company emails that I used to get that stopped coming since their multiple disabling of my account. They claim it has to do with my webmail settings, but changing those hasn't helped. They have also stopped replying to my emails to the tech dept. about this issue. Also, they have removed channels like BBCA from their line-up without any real explanation.
Call wow on phone & online chat, both locations play the 40mins wait game with intention not to interact with customer on canceling service. Wow closed local office using pandemic excuse. When opening account, they promise will send mailing package for modem return when account closed, that's lip service not honored. I shall file complain with michigan attorney office tomorrow on wow. In mean time, stop paying monthly fee.
