Mike Technician 7092 was the most knowledgeable, professional, efficient, personal, technician we have ever had to our house, and we have had quite a few. He took his time to figure out what was going on, went above and beyond what any other tech has ever done for us. He is definitely a asset to WowWay, and should be training technicians. Thank you Mike we have had so many negative experiences with Wow and you changed our opinion. Great Experience.
I scheduled someone to come out and re-hook-up my internet atleast 15 times and no one came. They sent tech that was unable to re-hook-up my internet. Tech stated that they would send someone that day. It has been 3 weeks and, when I called, they Said it would be another 8 days. Their phone calls are answered in the Philippines! There is no communication and they lie when they tell you they are coming Stay away from this company. I would pay double just to have someone else. But I live in condo and the President signed a 2 year contract! They suck!
I was a customer for almost 5 year's I had problems since day one I was just to busy to switch because I was working at the plant and didn't have time to address Wow but now I have they overcharged me they make you pay for services a month in advance didn't understand that cause what if you die can't get that money back then they was charging me extramoney charges for saying my card was declined but they was using someone else card they equipment wasn't working properly always had to switch out boxes and customer service was very poor and they didn't know how to explain your bill JUST ALL AROUND BAD SERVICE I WOULD NOT TELL NO ONE TO GET SERVICE FROM THEM THEY NEED TO BE CLOSED DOWN THEY LOYALTY DEPARTMENT TRIED FOR A MINUTE THEN THEY FAILED ME WITH A BAD ATTITUDE AND THEN SAID THAT'S THE BEST IT'S GONE GET THEN I SWITCHED TO XFINITY!

I would give 0 star but there is no option for it. These people never care we had 12mbps speed but we get 2mbps speed. I've called them like 1000 times to check the speed, all they answer is that you have a prblm with router and modem, but we use the best reviewd router. Please donot use this service at all. Please for godsake!
Had to give ONE star cuz it wont let you give ZERO TERRIBLE company was told there are no offices in states to help with issues. Returned 2 DVR boxes - still being charged. Overseas customer service said they will fill out a form. They are in the PHILIPHINES! Very polite but can not help.

I have internet service through wow I dropped time warner internet for wow thought it would be better boy was I wrong! I do a lot of streaming and it always buffering, I cant use my phones on WiFi, nothing works the way it should. I dont recommend wow for nothing find a different provider DONT GO WITH WOW!

WOW is terrible in the maintenance department. We've had 3 cable/DVR boxes go out. We were told the 4th would be new, the other replacements never have been. They just go out. So the guy shows up and says the "new" box is only HD and no DVR. Well how am I going to record movies and shows I want to watch? So he can only replace the cable/DVR with another "used" box. Well that means that it was turned in or already quit working or could be any age! We were told it would be a new box. It's not. WOW internet is spotty as hell. Every day the service goes out for no particular reason. We've had technicians come out, we've bought EERO, there high speed service. Every single time someone looks at it they magically find some setting or part incorrectly set or placed and still the service drops out every single day for some unpredictable time. Please bring me some competition so I can buy a competitor's product. They make so many excuses and are predictably bad. I live in town. It shouldn't be this hard to get good service.

10 years ago, switched to WOW because they were the best, compared to Comcast. During their 10 years they haven't updated anything. They don't even care anymore, as evident in typos for their descriptions of shows. How sad a company cannot run spell check?
Their Internet service is inconsistent, it goes down every day. Really wow? www.google.com doesn't exist? Lol Yahoo as your browser tells me 2 dying companies are trying to stay afloat. They were hacked in July, just more proof of how they just don't care anymore.
Cable service is very primitive. Charges are outrageous for what they are offering. Crap cable and intermittent internet cost us 178 a month NO PAY CHANNELS either (honest)

The minute Comcast left my home, I called to get rid of WOW. They offered a big discount, I declined, I don't even want it if it was free. Took their boxes back the next morning.
Comcast X1, bells and whistles, cost less and worth so much more to us.

WOW GETS A 1 ONLY BECAUSE YOU MUST SELECT ONE NUMBER, OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE A BIG ZERO. This is the worst TV service on the planet. It's also the worst service. This WOW keeps rebooting all the time interrupting whatever you are watching. Nothing fixes this. If you watch one channel for more than three hours, it shuts the TV off. You won't be able to turn it back on and watch the rest of the program. You won't be able to turn the TV on to watch anything for several hours. There is no way around this problem. The 3 hour shut off is built in to their box. You have three selections for this and 3 hours is the maximum. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with these people trying to resolve issues. Had this service for one year, and I probably work on trying to fix it a couple hours per week, every week. Their internet service claims internet speed twice as fast as the others. Don't believe it. You can't tell any speed difference or maybe a little slower.
Due to rising costs of everything and falling income, I called last month and had my internet
Speed lowered. Also, pointed out I was being charged for equipment that had been taken back by a tech since early July of this year. It took until almost two weeks ago to get everything corrected.
Today, I looked to see how much this month bill is and found not only a $10.00 late charge, there is a $5.24 difference on my printed bill shown on one screen and that of the screen showing the amount due. I called and talked to an American for a change, but one that even after going over everything was dumber than a rock (no doubt a public school educated liberal result) and would not assist in getting my bill correct. Result I over paid by $15.24.
I would not use WOW after this save that they have better equipment Time Warner and a lessor cost. So I am going to use everything to warn consumers not to use WOW via this site, as well as filing complaints with PUCO, FCC and FTC. Plus, to do all I can hurt their business by all other means necessary and needed.

Well does not tell you that you need to have an Amazon product in order to have WOW cable and internet before they come to your home to install. That is very misleading
They lied me that 2 of my locations will be serviced by them but when I signed up for both locations, they said they cannot service one of my locations. In other words they cheated and lied to me.
Wowway suddenly changed the streaming service so now instead of getting local Chicago programming I get South Carolina (weather, sports, timezone, news, etc). Called twice and they can't fix it?
Switched to WOW cable when we moved to the midwest a few years ago. I'm not going to talk too much about the constantly increasing prices and fees, because all cable companies do that after your initial offer term runs out. I've lost track of the number of times they've increased the cost or added fees without providing any more service. I even pay a fee for sports programming, even though we hate sports and never watch sports channels.
The internet service is horrible. It's supposed to be 15mbps. But that's very optimistic, and often we have no service at all. I've used time warner and comcast in other cities in the past, and this is by far the worst service. For some reason, once or twice a month I need to reset the cable modem... not sure why but it totally stops working otherwise.
The cable TV service is also bad. The picture is ok normally, but it often freezes up or gets pixellated. It's the worst I've seen.
Finally, again, the customer service sucks with all of the big cable companies. But WOW markets itself as a company with good service. Well, good luck getting through to a person if you need help. I've been on hold with them for over one hour on several occasions. And the employees aren't particularly helpful.
Avoid WOW at all costs. The only reason we haven't switched yet is because we plan to move soon.
Have been a WOW customer for 20 years. Reliable phone + cable + internet. They switched to overseas customer service some years back, and that was not a good choice. But things still worked OK, and then the pandemic happened. Now that I'm working from home every day, my connection needs to be reliable and it's not. I get disconnected after each remote login 2 or 3 times each morning, sometimes later in the day as well. I pay for 100 Mbps & get 50 or 40, and for a while it was 11. No one else in my work department has these issues. This has been ongoing for 7 months now. I have called customer svc 6 or 7 times. They have a script they read which says things like, "Unplug your modem from the wall for 30 seconds," and "clear your cookies and cache." Unplugging the modem resets the connection so they think they have the problem solved, but that does nothing to address the fact that the connection is not reliable. One tech who came to the house plugged a hard wire directly into the modem and discovered he gets 100 Mbps that way, suggested I get a hardwire cable too. But that might not solve the dropped connections, and it won't address the fact that my phone and internet TV have spotty connections as well. I've asked them to send me another modem -- 7 to 10 business days -- and if that doesn't solve the problem, I'll be switching to Spectrum who has offered me the same service for $30 less per month, no contract.
After many consults by phone to make certain there were no hidden costs or fees to installing a bundle deal I changed cable companies-lost my phone number. 2 days post install I checked what I owed and it was about 30 dollars more than quoted- They said they couldnt give me an exact tally of what to expect for service because the fees were from the government but I had a whole wack of fees from them. BBB investigated and they said -that customer didnt expect an installatiion fee--Not True-bill was 30 above including. I asked- not to drill into my sofit cause it needs replaced and he attached there cable to it. When I replaced them With Brighthouse cable at-$71 LESS A MOS. The picture was 150% better. Finally the attorney general for fl was mentioned - 8th person I spoke with helped me. I'd have to keep calling back because they would just leave me on hold for-ever if I asked to get to their superviser. Rude Insuting and dishonest.
Literallly waited an hour to talk to support that could not help BEWARE! I do not know why I keep dealing with them. They suck so bad... If I did not hate spectrum so much I would go to them
Never try to do any work or a meeting online using wow internet because it is up and down all through the day 7 days a week, tv cable is just as bad.
Sorry but I really hate these people. I hate them because they lied to me and they waste of my time. My time is valuable. Just as valuable as theirs. I called wow to disconnect my cable but retain my Internet. I was told this would be no problem they would switch off the cable and I would not need to do anything and I would not need a service person to visit. Two days later I received a box with some new equipment. I did nothing with it. I shouldn't have to …they told me I didn't need to …and the Internet was working just fine. The cable tv was disconnected but internet continued as before. Then I received a notification that I was going to be billed if I didn't send back the old equipment. So… I disconnected the old and installed the new exactly as before.
And nothing worked. I called them, and some robotic Philipino walked me through everything they could …and still I was without Internet. They told me I was going to need to have a service tech come out. … I told them wait… I disconnected the new devices. I reconnected the old equipment and everything worked again. I am now sending them back the new and unnecessary equipment. And I will begin immediately to look for a new Internet provider. I just wasted three hours of my time for nothing. The people at WOW are idiots or liars or both.
I was under treumendous presuure for the last 6 weeks as there was continious interruption and longtime disconnection of my internet. I continously complain to WOW representative and 3 to 4 representatives visit site, do some partial repair work but the problem exists. Finally, I got in touch with Rachel C-7060 Customer Care Specialist Adv. Tier 2. He patiently listen to my worries and send representative on 6/26/2018, who [I don't know his name] undestand the problem and staraight went to WOW box outside my house and get the defect repair, since then my internet is working smootly and I have no tension. I, Syed Hassan resident of 34 Brittany Lane Glendale Heights IL ******* [age 66 years] extremely thankful to Rachel, who was continously in touch with me since 6/23/2018 and had made all out efforts to resolve this issue. I pray for him and request management to pay him award for keeping the name of Company at this high note by his countless work.
Installer refused to install where I requested. Ran cables threw neighbors yard and left laying on the ground till neighbors complained. Refused to connnect wires and splitter to house... Broke cable port on TV... Saleman lies ablout what packages cost what... If it was not for the fact I do not want satelite in my yard I would. IF U ORDER WOW and your installer is MIGUEL... ASK FOR A DIFFERENT INSTALLER
I had WOW Service for 2 years. When I first acquired the service, I already had purchased my own Modem & Router for service, but when I contacted WOW to get my service turned on, they insisted that I purchase a brand new router for $250 even though it was the exact same make and model of the Modem I already had. After 2 days of phone calls and countless phone reps with Chinese accents, I finally got the service activated with my Modem I already owned.
2 years later, I moved out of the country and closed my WOW account with no due payments. Low and behold I discovered 2 years later that WOW decided to file a claim on my credit saying I owe $52. What a crock. I refuse to pay LIARS and THIEVES. They should be sued for defamation and slander. Bad credit puts people on the streets today, it's no wonder the riots are destroying this country. But that's what happens when you let Israeli dual citizens completely infiltrate and take over your congress, economic and education system. Heil De Führer!
They will refund your money in credit card form that has a lot of fees and they don't give u any other option. Illegal business practices.
