WU site had better go back to exactly the way it was before, or myself and everyonelse will not waste their time frustrated online, better to just go outside like my grandpa did.
Takes forever to load. Graph is nice but bring back 10 day hourly. Use NOAA now instead. Wunderground is unusable. Too bad it used to be my go to weather web site. Did it get bought by someone?
They say the temperature is 74 degrees here in Omaha - it is NOT the temperature is currently 64 degrees.
And you can't see a 10 day forecast. So don't use their site!
I, like all the others posting here am deeply disappointed in what used to be my go-to weather site. As a boater, I rely on the marine forecast as well as the forecast for the community where our boat is docked, one hour away from our home. The site is now a jumble of graphs and charts for that day, and to find 7 or 10 day forecasts is ridiculous. BRING BACK THE OLD WUNDERGROUND or you have lost me forever.
Look up the history of the Weather Underground. No business in their right mind would want to be remotely associated with it. Besides, "underground?" Weather "underground"? Who cares!?
It seems every time they make changes, the site gets worse. The techs may be well-educated when it comes to computers, but they know nothing about common sense.
The old version of this app was so much better. I see that WU tried to bring some features back, but it's not close to the old app, which used to be best one out there.
I do not like the layout or graphics which are very slow to load. I prefer something more readable like Intellicast. I will be un-installing the Droid app and removing the link on my desktop browser.
I have been using Weather Underground for the past 10 years+ and this site has gone from the best to the worst. Every single "update" they roll out, makes the site more and more useless. One of my favorite aspects of the website used to be their helpful tech support and they would always quickly fix glitches when they came arise. Over the past 2 years, its evident that they no longer have any tech support because every email goes unanswered. In addition to absolutely no help when problems arise, they have made the historical weather portion (which was what drew me here to begin with) completely unusable. The data isn't even accurate. Its full of glitches and there are these huge graphs that stick out that are completely useless. I don't care about the "pretty" graphs. I want to see the data. Fortunately, I have learned that the NWS has an excellent way to look at historical weather for any city you want to. Hopefully Weather Underground and the Weather Channel won't try to buy the NWS out. Nothing else has seemed to stop The Weather Channel from obtaining a monopoly.
What a complete joke. Inaacurate weather, and ZERO customer service. Check historical data for any PWS and you'll find the temperature history is just made up.
WHY DID INTELLICAST MERGE WITH WEATHER UNDERGROUND?. IT'S SO SLOW IT HURTS. INTELLICAST WAS MY GO TO DAILY WEATHER. I REALLY LIKED INTELLICAST BUT NOT NOW, ITS A PIECE OF JUNKY CRAP. I WILL USE WEATHERBUG FROM NOW ON. USED TO BE MY FAVORITE, NOT NO MORE. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GO AND MESS UP A GOD THING. HOPE IT FLOPS DEAD. TAKES 5 DAYS TO CATCH UP WITH THE RAIN ON THE RADAR POSTED 2 DAYS AGO. BRING BACK INTELLICAST.
With the technology and education our country has at its disposal it is a shame the weather cannot be successfully predicted. Instead of just coming out and saying we messed up yet again, I hear stuff like it happened because of the "warm nose". Really, do you guys make it up as you go along? You are paid to be at least close to correct, so this leads me to my ending comment. We are NO better off with the false predictions of weathermen, they get paid TOO MUCH MONEY to be consistently wrong and I am not going to listen to, close, is ok because it's uncertain weather. If this is in fact the case then a yearly salary of 25K will be sufficient for the lack of a proven track record. Weather underground, you can stay there, cut ties with the lies. Face it YOU JUST DON'T know what is going to happen. Oh, so I'm being unfair, well let me ask you this question. If I were a policeman and had to make a split second decision which ended up causing harm to someone, would everyone be jumping all over the police officer, YES. Remember he or she didn't have days to study the situation, he or she didn't have millions of dollars of equipment to suggest possible outcomes. Get off your hi horse and just let us read the Almanac. You people are a fraud... pure and simple.
Being totally disappointed by the loss of Intellicast for the current POS, I add my comments that Weather Underground is horrible and basically non-functional. How can a company like IBM produce such a product and expect the WX data user community to accept this as the source for good weather planning? We don't need another dumbed-down site with sun and cloud icons as the spoon-fed gruel that apparently UW/IBM thinks is all that is needed. Seems like a good time for someone to produce a new WX site/app. I'd pay for a decent source.
The first revamp went in the wrong direction. This one will now force me to look at other sites. For my business this is a total waste of time. From the best site to the worst in a few short years
I've been a paying member of this site for a decade and I'm almost done with it. Go back to where it was 3 years ago. Storm tracks were the first to suffer from the stupidness of updates. Now I have to go to 3 different pages ( WHEN THEY WORK) to get the same information before this new change. If it ain't broke, leave it alone. LOOKING FOR A NEW WEATHER SITE... any recommendations?
Why did they change something that was perfrct? Now it is so bad, I deleted the app. Such a shame. So hard to figure out. Not user friendly at all. Went from the best app to the worst.
Used to love this site. Sensible design, reliable. Much better than weather.com.
Now weather.com has destroyed it. "Not available now. Try again later."
Forget this app.
The new interface is crap! It's non-functional, does not display correctly and is soooooo slow. Who comes up with these hair-brained ideas to change something which was working well?
This used to be an excellent website, with rich content and useful features. I have previously contributed photographs to the website (I'm a professional photographer) and more than a year ago, I purchased a weather station so that I could contribute to the "weather station community". Unfortunately, the website has been slowly declining since it was acquired by the Weather Channel. Excellent features like storm tracks have been removed from the radar map. In the past few days, the website has been redesigned into a hot mess, making it cumbersome to use. There is now a lot of irrelevant cruft like "GET YOUR FORECAST IN YOUR EMAIL!", "TODAY'S EXTREMES", and "Scientific Forecaster Discussion".
It's too bad that everyone wants to be a massive content aggregator these days just so that they can sell ads. I miss the old Weather Underground that understood their core competency and didn't try to be an entertainment website/blog/social network.
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
