I worked for Comcast/Xfinity for many years and you are getting ripped off. It's next to impossible to speak to an American agent. Your going to be speaking with international agents whether it's in the Philippines, Honduras, India, Mexico or where ever Comcast can get the cheapest deal which changes constantly. Those agents don't have Comcast services and all agents, American and international, read off a script and are rated by AI algorithms (Artificial Intelligence). They are rated on sales and "key" words used and the customers tone and tenor reactions to this scripted charade. Problem resolution and true service reliability is secondary.

When you get an agent you will be up sold and your rates surge every year. If you package all of your services with Comcast, when there is an outage, everything usually all goes down.

Oh by the way, when you escalate to a supervisor you're just getting another technician with no more authority than the one you escalated with. To get to a person with authority you will still have to go that route but once you're there ask for a Manager and get the Manager's name you will be speaking with. You will then probably get an actual supervisor whose job is to keep you from speaking to a Manager. At this point ask for a hefty refund, you will usually get it.

If you like getting screwed and fleeced stay with Comcast otherwise run.

Xfinity use to be a good company. I have been with them for 25 plus years. Now their rates have skyrocketed and no loyalty for long term customers. Stay away from this company at all costs!

I have had Xfinity for almost a year and will be dumping it as soon as my plan year is up. The cable functions are incredibly slow, including waiting for the guide to load, changing from one channel to another, opening open recorded programs recorded programs and god forbid you want to open the streaming apps-grab a cup of coffee and breakfast while you wait. If I set a program to record a show the only way to watch it is to open the recorded programs and play the recording. With other more sophisticated platforms you can open the channel from the guide and back up to where the recording began. Another frustrating issue is that while watching recorded tv you will sometimes get an error message saying the channel is no longer available and you must "Try Again" and in the meantime the system has jumped to live tv and you lost whatever you have recorded. Because we both work remotely I payed extra for internet speeds of up to 400 dps, my average speed is 30-45, I have never seen it get over 100. Save yourself the frustration and sign up with a different provider, life is too short to deal with such a poorly constructed platform…

What's wrong with Xfinity

Xfinity keeps adding TV channels that are from the pliestocine. Xfinity has now stated charging for a high number of "On Demand" movies. Xfinity stinks I am checking around for a new provider.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!

In my entire life I have never been so disgusted and so frustrated with a company that is supposed to provide service to consumers. I have been a customer for over 30 years. Is there any loyalty from them? Hell no! They are rude, disrespectful with no compassion or ethical standards. They lie and if you upset them they jack around with your bill. In a matter of a few years with no upgrades my bill has gone from $199.00 to $351.00. I called CS and was on the phone for over 3 hours trying to get someone, anyone to work with me and lower my bill. I am retired on a fixed income. After talking with 4 different people in 3 different departments they lowered my bill back down to $299.00. Next bill comes in it's $351.00. I call again. I am on the phone for 2 hours. I am assured that I will receive a credit for $52.00. Received my next bill today. $410.00. I can't stand talking to these people. It is a horror. They don't care. They just don't care. Worst customer service ever, anywhere. I can't wait to talk to some inept individual who can screw up my next billing. I have been on hold for over 45 minutes. It just doesn't end. I can't take it anymore. I know there are other options. So frustrating.

I have been a customer of Xfinity for many years. They keep raising their prices and giving you less choices for your money. When my contract expired, I called to get a less expensive package. The customer service representative did a bait and switch on me, promised the same services for less money, which when I reviewed, it was not true as they had taken away many of the channels. I called again, promised me another package. Another bait and switch. I wrote a letter to the corporate office. I got a response a gentleman called me listened to me patiently apologized and said all he could do was give me a $30 credit. PS I NEVER saw that $30 credit on my bill. I told him I was dissatisfied with our conversation and who could I talk to next he said he is the highest level customer service representative from corporate, that I could speak to. They are. Masters of bait and switch I've spoken to other people who have had similar experiences. I am very unhappy with them and believe that they are a dishonest company who hire people who are very good at misleading the consumer. They raise their prices they give you less service and then they say it is due to inflation. And I am still waiting months later for my $30 credit which I'm sure I will never see. You can waste a lot of time complaining and it will get you nowhere. And to add insult to injury, my bill is even higher than what they quoted me. If you have a choice don't go with Xfinity

XFINITY IS A VAMPIRE

XFinity automatically accesses your bank account/credit card and freely helps themselves to your money in quantities that you did not approve. If you made a phone call concerning service glitches, beware! Someone might talk you into a new one-year promotion that's supposed to lower your monthly rate. Then, you will be surprised to find that twice the amount was withdrawn from your checking account! If you go into the store to try to fix the issue, you will be informed that because you changed your plan over the phone, the store can't help you. You must call them again, talk to a robot, wait for 30 minutes and then finally speak with someone in Indonesia or who-knows-where to fix the problem. And DO NOT WASTE YOUR BREATH trying to squeeze even one penny of a refund, because they absolutely won't return any of your money which you are rightfully owed! They will only give you "credit" on your subsequent monthly payment. Xfinity is a money-sucking, time and energy sucking Vampire that we are basically forced to deal with because sadly, there are few other companies that provide their same services for television viewing.

Horrible

I've had xfinity for just over 2 years. I have what's called the Blast pkg which is speeds up to 400 mbps for $89/mo. Since I've started the wifi service. I've never had much over 150mbps at best and has been recently getting as low as 89/113mbps. Tons of tech visits with no answers and me making complaint calls with no absolutely avail. No loyalty discounts offered and now the price has gone up to $114/mo. Most times I can't even watch TV or stream or play xbox with either a direct wired or wireless setup bc its just that poor quality. They overcharge, you never get what you pay for and always get the same excuses when you call them. If they say they're making a service ticket Watch your modem/router, bc they're actually resetting it remotely. My xbox is running 0 games and has an upload speed of 0.17mbps and a latency rate of 418ms with a network download speed thats so low it won't even give me a reading at all! Stay far far far away from this company if you can.

FRUSTRATING

I've had xfinity for a few years and their customer support is awful. Multiple times i have been straight up lied to. They like to give you fees when they say they're explicitely say there are none, or provide information that's simply not true. Trying to contact a human being? It'll take several tries, but try to do things through their website or app and you'll be told you have to call them. They have the power to ruin your day as a team effort. Need a service request because their gateway keeps disconnecting? They'll send someone to waste an hour of your time, say they don't know the problem and bill you $80. There's no contracts, but canceling before 24 months is a $120 breaking the contract fee. Want to pick up a new modem and ask "can i pick it up at location x?" Location x has no idea why they would tell you that and can't provide one. I never knew a company to be a compulsive liar before, and if they didn't have a monopoly on my area I'd go with literally anyone else, and trust me, i tried. $#*! xfinity, have a terrible day, and is your recorded line to review why your $#*! isn't together.

This guy's from where I live they offer me a promo if we change that account to my name we get a good discount we accept OK later on they was charging two accounts two payments and I call to costumer service OK they say somebody else was charging that money on the same name [xfinity] I go to my bank and they stop paying to xfinity fake...later on they cancel my service because they don't receive that payment and they send me to collection and I own to xfinity 1100 really bad experience

Took the TV, Internet and VOIP bundled package. Always bracket creep-my costs go up and no reason and they never give reasons. Have had cable work in front of the house twice, feeder to the house 3 times and laying on the ground all winter. I finally lost it when I got my annual $9 increase. I thought after signing a 2 yr committment you paid $10 a month for every month you are short. Bottom line all you need to fulfill your obligation is one service and goodbye TV and overpriced locals, bough an over the air TV antenna and receive 36 channels counting the substations and noticed the image is so n=much better, found out fiber compresses the images to carry more stations for billing and you do lose quality. Buy your own modem as they charge $13 a month-just bleed you to death every way they can, a $10 HD fee, forgot how much for locals, etc. My bill got up to over $141 and for what? Try a ROKU tons of free station and around the clock movies-they have a special now for the newest for $49.88.

I've been a customer for 20 years. I'm tired of being a customer. Channel changes, adding & taking away. I'm sure they provide notice on a paper bill but they want you to be billed electronically which makes it much easier to miss. You don't ever speak to someone in your state when contacting customer service. More like Customer headache. Not one person seems to know what the other is doing. On the chat app they've conveniently put the disconnect button right in the middle of the screen. Which means when you're typing & an agent reply's it's easy to accidentally click disconnect. I am certain this is deliberate. I needed a new remote… first time ever. I am not paying $5.95 for shipping on an item that just stopped working. I know, I know $5.95 is cheap… it's the principal. Treat your customers like you are happy to have them… like you need them. I am canceling service for phone, internet & cable today. It's just too frustrating dealing with outages (once a week) & not being able to just talk to one person that can actually help you. Not to mention the fact that my bill continues to increase. Bill increases but channels & services have decreased exponentially! Pretty sure cable is a thing of the past anyway. When that time comes I really hope this company looses its $#*!!

The worst

Xfinity is the worst cable company I have ever dealt with there customer service do a very poor job of taking care of the customer when there is a problem, I have had numerous problems with internet connection for the last several months and it still isn't fixed they need to get another cable service in Michigan city Indiana and put Xfinity out of business

While Xfinity internet is cheap and fast down and uploads. It is the absolute worse when it comes to being secure. The easiest to hack and for cyber crimes takeovers. The fraud dept and the customer care team do not care about their customers or what is happening to them even tho they harp on how secure you are. It is a lie. I've had them over 10 yrs and I was hacked 1 yr ago. They have never helped secure my account, my cameras,my internet or anything and it has totally ruined my life. All they can say is I'm sorry let me transfer you to someone who can help and settle this now. You get transferred 6 times then hung up on and no one ever calls you back. But wants you to continue paying while you are being raped. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Specially if you want to keep your home safe from prying eyes and ears...My whole life has been ruined by Xfinity and my savings account deleted. Thanks Xfinity for allowing me to be raped in every since of the word. You are an embarrassment to business through out the USA. I've now had to get the FBI involved...

Poor customer service. No supervisor to speak with at any time. Spent 55 minutes on phone with rep to schedule tech appointment. Unable to login or change password even with tech support. Internet went out 7/27. Unable to get tech appointment until MONDAY, 7/31. It is out again today 8/3. NO XFINITY STREAMING SERVICES. So glad I did not sign a contract or 2 year agreement. NEVER AGREE to AUTOPAY. Going to complain to BBB. Please do the same if you are as feed up with Xfinity as I am.

Dishonest practices
November 24, 2023

I sent in a request to add a business line and I was told over a year ago there was a $7k quote to have it installed and the man named Mark said he would put the ticket in as that cost could be covered by them to get the account going if I signed a two year contract that I agreed to do. A week later some lady from Xfinity called and said it would cost $28k and she said Xfinity would cover $21K of the install and I would have to pay the $7k balance. Xfinity has service at another location 1000 feet away and the $28k sounds like a scam to get me to pay the full cost while making it sound like they are "doing me a favor" It sad not only as they are dishonest but not even smart enough to get their numbers right.

Started service with xfinity about two weeks ago. Was supposed to have the fastest internet they offered. While the service was supposed to run at 1200, ours was running at 4. After numerous attempts of calling for help and jumping through time wasting hoops, I got through to someone who hung up on me. And never called back. So after repeating the process I get ahold of someone else who tells me there is nothing they can do and I'll need a technician to come to my house. Which they wanted to charge me for. The next day a technician came and told us they needed ANOTHER tech to come because they couldn't fix it. 4 days later and we hear nothing back from them and still have no service. So I go to call and get forced to sit through the torture of steps you must take before you even get the chance to speak to someone. After getting disconnected I decided to remove the router all together and will be returning immediately. Switching to AT&T who answered my call immediately with a real person. What a nightmare.
