Dishonest business

Hidden charge of over $20 per month for an unreturned modem after promo ended without any notification or reminder. If you really want to use Xfinity, make sure to keep close eyes on every month's bill.

Xfinity is the worst

I hate this company. They are capitalistic hell scape. They charge exorbitant amounts for basic internet. My first plan for the year was $35 then they tried charging me $85 for the literal same exact plan. I finally got them to reduce it to $65 a year. Then after that year was up they charged me $112. They refuse to help or lower it in anyway unless I get a phone plan which absolutely not. Each year it's super frustrating! I hate them. I feel bad for their employees, who I'm sure they pay very little to, who just have to deal with people upset all the time! Right now they're one of the only internet companies that serve my building, but when I move soon, I'm never using them again.

I have called Xfinity for the past four months in an attempt to fix the line from the power pole to my home. It has been hanging a foot off the ground and Xfinity will not make the repair. My children have been unable to use the backyard for this entire time (4 months)
I don't recommend the company for any service.

I had internet with Xfinity, and I went to a different service provider because Xfinity does not have fiber optic lines in my area. Once I cancelled the internet, they raised my cable bill by 25%.

Trying to set up internet. Originally purchased a modem from xfinity. Took too long so bought one on Amazon. Went to activate and no luck. Spent 4.5 hours with chat only to be told I need to buy a new modem because an error in activation associated it with another account on network. Bought new modem and worked instantly via app. Plugged in console and internet no longer worked. Came back on. Asked them not to touch. They changed something say they were doing to permanently help me. Service disconnected. Talked for another 3 hours and now have service back with a higher bill and a contract with none of the stuff I ordered.

If you can get Google Fiber or Uverse, get that.

HORRIBLE customer support
November 22, 2023

First, you have to go through 6 or 7 minutes of automated computer hurdles before you can speak to a human.
I moved into a new house. Was told cable boxes would work, just plug and be done.
WRONG!
First box took over 1 hour on the phone with customer support.
Third box, after another hour on the phone, still not working.
She said she would send a technician to fix the issue, but would charge me $100.
They should be paying me for all my time trying to fix their faulty service.
I asked to speak with supervisor, and then the phone call dropped.
How convenient.

They routinely raise your bills, for stuff you don't ask for, then the website to allow customers to change their plan always time out (I believe via deliberate deceptive practice... and to top it off calling customer care is an agreement to waste an hour or more... They are really low-class fraud operations...

I've spent too much time trying to reach them via phone/chat. When I finally got a call back, they kept transferring me to different departments.

A lot of these people must have memorized scripts because their response, no matter what specifics you tell them about your issue, is "This is a really valuable opportunity for you." When you tell them you're not looking for that service, they double down and pretend to offer something "new," asking for your personal info to "set it up"... but it turns out to be the same, stupid, service, I, just, turned, down.

I am disabled and received a defective phone. I was told by Kent at Xfinity Essentials that a one year warranty was sufficient. Comcast played around with me for months. This phone is essential for my life. They already have stolen from me in the past so I tried to be careful, but they are very good liars, scam artists and when all else fails- they blame their customers. They would prefer a death to correcting a defective phone they sent someone on strict disability budget and tell me after a period of March to Sept. To buy another phone. You, the customer signs up for service and Comcast thinks you owe them all of your time while they lie to you. They need to be put out of business.

I have a defective phone. Comcast will not replace this phone even though the complaints department determined that it needs replacement. I have a one year warranty. I don't need insurance on top because there was no theft, damage, etc.
Comcast cannot tell the same story twice to save their life.
The sad part is I am quite disabled and NEED a good quality working phone.
Therefore, Xfinity Comcast has stolen my money and put my health/ life in harm's way. Why? I guess because deceit is their only game they know.
Steer clear and I may be bringing on quite the lawsuit.
They are downright dangerous.

Bad cable service
August 12, 2023

Comcast xfinity is the worst cable service there. They control what equipment you know works great, and give you a piece of crap with voice control. It sucks big time. You press the mic and it doesn't work like it should. It says, " try saying, what should watch", or something just as stupid. If you change the channel by pressing the numbers on your remote, it tells you to try using the voice it's faster.
This service has to update itself every single day. It interrupts a movie or whatever you may be watching. It constantly goes out for an hour or more so you're left with no cable to watch. The movie choices are horrible and now they've included horror movies on a regular basis. Halloween time works just fine for horror films. The automated service is awful when trying to get to an agent. When you do get an agent, there's a language barrier. Too much outsourcing and not enough in country agents.

They are horrible...automation, can't get through to a live person, keep you hanging on the phone, many agents don't know what they're talking about, reading from a script/robots, and chat is horrific. Dumb, I'd say. The chat thing or person obviously can't read because my questions are never answered. I wish I could find another internet company in my area. This business gets a -0 from me!

I had $ 45 unlimited plan and they kept on auto charging my file credit card $80 every month. They have no customer service agents unless you are signing up for new service. Please Run far from Xfinity mobile unless you want to get robbed behind your back with no one to address your legit complaint.

Horrible

The bills are always going up- I started 2 yrs ago at $69- ended at $149. Service going in is great, but when you go to get out bring your pocket book! They added fees, changed me from paper bill to paperless and then sent it to an email that had been obsolete for 7 years! Charging me a late fee. Trying to terminate they added 2 boxes (for other TV') in which I have only one TV in the house.
I am so happy to be free from them! I hot spot my smart TV and internet and no longer have any bills at all...
Google it - It's so Worth it!

I spent days on the phone trying to get Paramount Network. At the end, I was told a technician would call me the next morning (it was 2 am). No call came. Xfinity is LOUSY! I'm switching providers because Xfinity could care less about their customers. I'm paying a fortune for virtually no service. My wifi doesn't even work. But they just take my money and fail to deliver.

Xfinity poor service

If it works,you're good,it don't,run,you're going talk to a robot,typing something,they fix it,it'll break over again. Robot,typing again. You want service,$100. Even if it's a issue with their company. $55 a month for internet only,Naw,they'll raise it all time,to $70. Then you go sign up as a new customer. The daily,spinning,you'll see that bunch times a day. Then,Robot lady,typing again. The actual person,will try,getting your SS number,and birthday,with a good offer. Pass on this company.

I am giving this one star as you can't give zero. I have been a Comcast customer for almost 30 years. Every year their bundle package goes up in price. So every year I spend many wasted phone calls with them. This year my bundle discount was good until 11/2018 as stated on my monthly bills. None the less they still reduced my discount and increased my bill. They gave some ridiculous excuse when it was clearly stated on the bill. I'm frustrated and am looking for an out. I know there are many options out there and better ways to spend $255 for mediocre service and no customer loyalty. Someone there should look up the definition of customer loyalty. As a new customer they give you more competitive deals. Don't get roped in. WORST COMPANY to deal with. BEWARE!

I am not a Comcast customer, but was several years ago. I have never written a review until now to express my feelings for the company. Does anybody remember when Comcast was the only choice you had? Dirt was treated better. Countless Xfinity salesman come with these remarkable deals which give me the opportunity to tell my experiences with Comcast. They are apologetic but I tell them that I will never use their service again. I realize they own other businesses and are bigger than ever now and I more than likely am using something of theirs (I think they own NBC), but still have strong feelings about them. If this review can in any way dissuade people in curbing this company into becoming another monopoly then I will have succeeded. I find shorter reviews work better and have a better chance of being read so I'll e n d it now. Oh, their commercials are very irritating.

Lack of communication

By far the worst company to deal with. I would have stood with Metro PCS if I would have known. The customer service reps are ridiculously ignorant. They speak very little English and expect for people to understand what they say. They never know why you're always being charged so much. They never tell you everything on your account. When you ask to speak to a supervisor, they always say "they're going to tell you the same information." Or they simply make it seem like they will transfer you over and end up leaving you on hold for over an hr. Xfinity is the worst company you can ever go with. They have no courtesy for their customers. They give false advertisement and always say thats all they can do, when all they do is the bare minimum. I can't wait to leave this damn company. They lack in every-way as a company/business.

Takes an act if God to get a payment Reversal. 3-5 days is all you hear. Mean while they have 30 days to send it. Cs number is ridiculous to get to a rep. No call backs to make sure issue is resolved, when they say they will personally do it. So basically, you are just out of your money till whatever out sourced to India "supervisor" who barely speaks english, named john, decides to actually do their job. Good luck. Internet hasn't been working for 2 days due to a neighborhood outage. When it finally gets fixed our modern mysteriously stops working. Call customer support, wait on hold for 30 minutes only to be disconnected. Of course they never call back. Still Currently not working
