Yankee Candle has medium jar candles with 2 wicks now. Their toppers do not fit and there is actually less candle as well. When I brought this up and asked to return, I got nothing except computer generated replies or a reply from someone who didn't know how to reply. Very disappointed because I do like the candles.
Some of the scents use ingredients known to cause respiratory irritation. Why is this used in a product that is made specifically for a diffuser?
I ordered tea light candles from Yankee Candle. I'll start off by telling you it seemed a good deal, a box of 12 tea lights was $12 plus buy one get one free, so I ended up ordering 16 boxes (4 different scents) for a total of $96, with tax and handling $102.72. First problem, there was a charge of $27.36 on May 8th, then they charged me the 102.72 on May 10th. Secondly, for no given reason, I assume out of stock, the order of four boxes was cancelled. I have called to try to get the situation fixed, Yankee Candle blames the bank, the bank has heard nothing. I have sent several e-mails, all have been ignored. If you like pleasant aromas in your home I would suggest just burning some cash rather than purchasing from Yankee Candle.
I gave one star because you give no stars it won't let you. I have spent the good part of day trying to order Yankee Candles online by myself which NEVER works. Something I was ordering wasn't coming up with the right price so I reluctantly called Yankee customer service. I was put on hold about 5 times in 27 min and I finally had to hang up because I had things to attend to. They never did solve the problem. So my cart is full on the website and I decided to suck it up because I had 2 $10.00 rewards point vouchers. I put my credit card number in and click on pay and poof my order is gone and I get an error report from Yankee! My order of over $120.00 is gone! My vouchers of $20.00 are gone! No way to retrieve anything!
Took weeks to come in... Half stuff broke. Half stuff on back order... My colleges bought this stuff for Christmas... Not going to happen... Very sad... Never will i order from you again... You really suck... This is a first from me...

Placed an order, then a few hours later they cancelled it because they were actually out of stock. I was frustrated but can understand some delay in stock vs. sales. I later placed the order again, and after a WEEK they finally emailed that my products had shipped, but then after 2 more days the tracking number still hadn't been activated, meaning they hadn't actually sent it yet. When I order and it says "8-10 business days," I don't expect that to be the amount of time it takes them to start to ship it... I wanted it within 8-10 days! Their site and customer service is a disaster and I won't be buying from them again after this experience.
I have bought their candles for over 20 years and am disappointed in the candles they are making now. They let you exchange the candle if it has no scent, but the problem is the next candle has no scent either. They say that nothing different has been done to their candles, but that is not true because they must be putting less scent into the candles. Very saddened.
I ordered Christmas candles at Thanksgiving and I never received them. I had to call to cancel my order and sat on the phone for 50 minutes! And then they said to refuse the order when I received it... yeah right... like FedEx tells me they have dropped it on my porch. I still haven't gotten it and it's been over a month. This company is nuts. They want me to call them again to get a return slip. I'll email them and hopefully get that to get the return shipping slip. What a mess they are. They can learn customer service from co's like REi and others. I will never order from them again!
I purchased a custom candle it was not on time and when it did arrive it was broken into pieces. I have spoke to yankee candle about this problem 5 times each time they were suppose to be sending me a full refund well I got a refund but it wasn't for the full price it was partial on top of that they sent me a code to get any candle at full price the code didn't even work. This place is a joke my candle wasn't even packaged properly

Placed an order online. Received a confirmation number and a pending charge on my credit card. Waited two days, heard nothing. Called to see where my order was and when it was arriving. They told me that it was received but hadn't been processed but that i would hear something in 24-48 hours. Two days after that, still hadn't heard anything. Called back, now they can't find my order number in their system at all despite the pending transaction on my card and providing them with the order number that they gave to me. What kind of horrible business is this where they can't keep their lies or business straight?
Update: 30+ minutes to being on the phone with them, the representative let me know that the supervisor line is down but that she can place me on call waiting.
I placed an order online and when I received my ordered it was missing one candle. I sent an email and never received an email back. I had to call and the representative still said dont worry you will not be paying anything extra. Of course I will not because it was not an error on my side. I received an email to rate the candles and got an email back stating that my response does not meet their criteria and will not be posting my review. So they only post what it is convenient to them. I love their candles but customer service is HORRIBLE.

I had a very negative online experience over the holidays. My items were weeks late and my credit card was over charged. I called customer service multiple times and each time I never got through due to excessive hold times. I sent over 12 emails, with no response. My concerns are still not resolved. Do not purchase from the online store.
I placed an order and could not get the discount to apply. I did send the order and advised Yankee of the trouble. They got back to me right away, and sent a credit for the discount amount. Thank you to Yankee. My only candle store!

They now hire out customer service overseas to the Philippines. I placed an order with a BOGO coupon code. The order total should have been $65.93, but instead they charged my care $115.92. The first day I called I was kept on hold for 37 minutes, then hung up. The next I called and got someone in the Philippines after being on hold for 20 minutes. There was nothing she could do and she told me I would have to call back after my order shipped. Never again will I buy from Yankee Candle. Going to Harry Slatkin candles from now on.
My first online order Yankee canceled 50% of the order. The order was placed for in store pickup. My second order only one item was cancelled which is a plus. I received an email stating my order will be divered by FedEx on 1/11/23. No pending delivery date was available 1/13/23. I received an emailed stating my delivery date is now 1/14/23. I will be ordering from Harlem Candle..

I went on thursday the 6th to the providence place mall in R. I... and Dimetri and Adam were more then great they knew there product very well and I mean very well... They went way and beyond to make sure I was finding everything I needed and they did it with love and kindness! I personally never have been approached by employees that are very kind and attentive with any customer including myself, that walk in while I was still shopping. I spoke to the manager Jin she was on duty on that day, and I commended her for a excellent training that she has given to those employees "Dimetri and Adam" And I know what I was talking about because I worked in Retail and corporate over 20 years and more... and I was blow away by their service! I hope they get recognized for there excellent work! Especially when they show that they love what they do! Thank you for you're time.

We SPLURGED and bought some of the Yankee Candles (the bigger ones in glass containers) and have been very disappointed. There isn't much fragrance to be detected as they burn and the wax builds up around the outside that doesn't melt. We're going back to the 'off brands'.

I placed an order that i never received and when you call to check on your order you NEVER get thorough to there call center. I've emailed them several times and still NOTHING... not even a response. I feel so ROBBED by a company that used to have a good name in my opinion. Never shopping here again... good luck guys... buyers BEWARE!
I bought 6 jar candles in September. The same scents I bought a year ago for fall and Christmas. Even after burning overnight, not one of them could be smelled unless you were sitting right next to them. Even our favorite, Balsam and Cedar, had very little throw. I can return them, at my expense, for a refund. Since the company was sold a few years ago, the new owners have cut the quality to cut their cost.
I did some research. The son of the original founder of Yankee Candle, Michael Kittredge, has opened another store in the same area as the original Yankee shop. Bernardston, Massachusetts. It is called Kringle Candles and their website states they use the original recipes. Just had to change some of the names. I will be ordering their Balsam and Cedar and Balsam Fir. I hope they are truly the same as they used to be.
I went in with a coupon. I had a question so I walked up to an employee and said excuse me and she started walking away so i said excuse me louder and she sprinted into the door at the back of the store.
So I ordered candles from the yankee candle website. They said they were delivered on Sat. August 29,2020! Well they were not! So I call them. They use Fed ex. They then tell me they are sitting at the post office! Why, I do not know! As we were home on Sat. Fed ex did not leave a note, they never even tried to deliver them! Nobody told me they were at the post office! I swear, MORONS! PISSED OFF! THANK YOU YANKEE CANDLE!
I purchased a large Yankee Candle in the Home Sweet Home scent. I have heard they are great. This candle is about half burned and I have NEVER smelled anything when it's lit. It has no scent what so ever! It burns very unevenly. It's a two wick candle and one of the wicks will not burn or light at all. I got a large candle the other day at Walmart, about the same size and it is great! Has a lovely scent and burns well. Anyone reading this, if you are a candler lover, save yourself some money and buy any other kind. I paid $6.00 for the Walmart one and $25.00 for the Yankee. I have now thrown the Yankee one away!
I placed an order by mistake and tried to cancel it within minutes. I was told that the order was "being processed" and I couldn't cancel the order. Really? I have been a loyal customer of Yankee Candle for years. I will never buy from them again! Goose Creek has reasonable prices, and the candles are more fragrant. I will get all my products in the future from them.

I visited the Pottstown store where the Manager Chantel was extremely rude and dismissive. And she ripped up my coupon. This was my first time visiting Yankee Candle and I will never go back. I feel Chantel treated me like that because I am Black. Chantel this is not the 1950's.

I have contacted customer service over 6 times now in the last two months. I initially contacted them to cancel my order before it was shipped and I was told that they would contact the warehouse to cancel it and I would receive an email. I never received an email and a few days later, my order arrived at my house. Now I have to go through the pain of having to call Yankee repeatedly, being told that they will send me a shipping label so I don't have to pay for a return that should have been canceled. Well it is 2 months later and still no emails from Yankee. I don't know what kind of company they are running. I thought Yankee was a legist business before this ordeal. So very unprofessional and will be losing my business.
I recently ordered over 40 votives and they do not burn as clean as they used to. Some wax is left in the bottom that has to be scraped out. They used to burn until nothing was left! Very disappointed that the quality has changed. I will be finding a new brand.
