Yankee Candle has medium jar candles with 2 wicks now. Their toppers do not fit and there is actually less candle as well. When I brought this up and asked to return, I got nothing except computer generated replies or a reply from someone who didn't know how to reply. Very disappointed because I do like the candles.
Some of the scents use ingredients known to cause respiratory irritation. Why is this used in a product that is made specifically for a diffuser?
I placed an order on December 5th some gifts for my secret Santa & it hasn't even shipped! I have other things for Christmas I'm hoping they will arrive on time! Ridiculous!
The scent hardly exists. I was really disappointed, given I thought they were suppose to be really sweet smelling. Apparently they've changed the formula or something like that
Why can't I purchase OR find the scent plug refills I see in my "early fall" catalog? My schedule doesn't let me shop - I never have a problem pushing a button & letting USPS bring things, but I can't even get scents for the scentplugs I order?!

Ii's so sad. I bought, 4 candles. Citrus and sage, mid summer's night, rose and pink sands. One by one no scent. I cant believe they would destroy their own co. Which they will in time.
I cannot overstate the excellent customer service that I have repeatedly experienced at the North Dartmouth Mall Yankee Candle Store! I have sought out the assistance of Sue and Jackie at store # 479, and I have never been disappointed. They are both personable, professional and highly trained in knowing the various products that their store has to offer. As a result of the outstanding customer service I have received, I have recommended them and this store to many of my friends, and they too were very impressed. For each holiday, I have spent well over $300. Per visit, and it is specifically because of their positive energy and caring service that I have continually shopped there. I fact, I was there just today and purchased many of my Christmas gifts from them. My only disappointment is that after I have written a review like this one on multiple occasions, they have yet to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication! It is because of them and their outstanding service that keeps the customers coming back, and I believe that they are more than deserving of praise and acknowledgement from the administrative staff at the Yankee Candle Company. After writing this review and several others, I will be very disappointed if they are not recognized. It is not every day that sales representatives go the extra mile to please the customer as these two women have been doing time and time again. Kudos to both Jackie and Sue! I am very grateful for their continued help every time I shop there.
I called to check my order status
Because it has been a few days and I have not received a shipping notification telling me that it's on the way so I called, I didn't get the man's name and I hate that but he was very knowledgeable and helpful and let me know that the only reason that my candle hasn't shipped yet is because of it's a new season fragrance and they are a little backed up and that is understandable five stars
I ordered directly from the website one time because they were having a sale (I usually buy from Amazon) and I completely regret it.
The first order I made was cancelled within the hour for no reason. I contacted customer service and they took almost two days to respond and they basically ignore what I have told them about my order being cancelled and are asking me to take pictures of the product.? I said did you even read my email and repeat what I had already told them, they get back to me and say they sent the wrong email to me( so organized) and then they finally tell me it was an internal error. So I place the same order again. I have on going issue with FedEx (that I will be leaving a review about) where they keep leaving my packages in the wrong places and they keep coming up missing. So this happens when the two packages from Yankee candle arrive. It says they are delivered but they are not where they were pictured. I contact customer service and 4 days go by with no response, so I contact them again and ask them to file a claim with FedEx for my lost package (just like FedEx told me to tell them). They basically tell me to check the surroundings, as if I haven't already done that, how else would I know the packages are missing. They offer no apologies or solutions. So I responded telling them to stop giving me the run around and contact FedEx themselves. ALL THIS FOR SOME CANDLES? I am still waiting on a solution two weeks after I placed the first messed up order and I will never order directly from this company again. Great candles but horrible customer service!

In January, the petite WoodWick candle burned through its holder leaving a burn mark in my tub. I immediately contacted Yankee Candle. Let's just say it isn't going well. It's now April 6,2020 and still unresolved. Spoke to customer service... they were pretty useless. Requested supervisor. Was disconnected several times then put on hold for quite some time. Finally was told it's in proper dept as priority. (Sent estimate for repair) supervisor on 3 separate occasions was to get back to me. Never did. I called again last week & spoke to new supervisor. Same old story. I even wrote their corporate office about everything & nobody got in touch with me. Their defective candle could have burned my house down. The estimate was not a lot
Of money ($275) A business as large as YC should have handled this much better. I cannot tell you how irresponsible the company is. I'm still trying to get my tub fixed. They should be ashamed of themselves. They certainly do not put customers first or respect their customers. I have numerous emails to them & numerous phone calls made to them & they don't care. I will NEVER purchase anything by them again.
I am definitely obsessed with all kinds of small things and details which make my life easier and better. A candle by the workspace is definitely one of them.

I got a Moonlight Harvest candle out to burn for the holidays. It's one of my all-time favorites and is naturally discontinued. When I took the lid off... NO WICK! I live in Reno, NV and our only store closed last year. The nearest store is 150 miles away; definitely not worth driving to for one candle. I've tried emailing, calling (never can get through!) and when I finally got a reply, they wanted pictures, which I supplied. Then they wanted an order number which I don't have because I purchased it at the now closed store. Now they want a receipt, which is too old to find if I even still have it. Why do they need all that? The pictures obviously show that it's a YANKEE CANDLE candle! It proves there isn't a wick in it to burn. Since when do they no longer stand behind their product? It's pretty cut and dried that it's defective. If they bothered to look me up they'd see that I buy ALOT of candles from them. Ha! That's not going to be the case anymore. There are plenty of candle out there just as nice and a heck of a lot cheaper. They'll be getting my business from now on. So, "buyer beware" is definitely the case with Yankee Candle. Be careful!

Yankee Candles are by far my favourite brand. They offer a huge variety of smells and none of them disappoint. It's been confirmed with them they don't use animal products which is a huge plus. Only thing to watch out for is picking the right sized jar because you need to let it burn until the entire upper layer has soften or else it creates a memory circle and next time it's lit, it will burn downwards of that circle and would hardly reach the outside. So bigger is not always better because the large ones take 5-6 hours at least and it's not always practical if it so happens that you need to run out and put it off before its done. So my suggestion would be to stock up on several different sizes and use them depending on how much time you have. Another thing to note is according to them, the wick should be 3mm or less but personally I have found it to burn much better if you let it be until the top end splits. Also some consider them to be overpriced but I believe you get what you pay for. Cheaper brands tend to burn much quicker and the scent is nowhere near as intense so overall ends up being a waste of money. Plus they offer great discounts and have monthly reductions on selected ranges so you can stock up easily when the time is right. (Would also suggest you splurge on a wick trimmer though nail clippers will do just fine)
I spent 50.00 on two Apple, Pumpkin scented candles and you can barely smell them. I exspected a better product from this company. These candles should smell up my house for that price!
I made a order online got my order number in my email i try checking Status nothing showed so after a week I called they said my order was canceled and they failed to Notify me I could have gotten it somewhere else now it's to late
Sorry Yankee but after 25 years of being a fan, your reign as king of the candles has come to a end!, recently ordered a WITCHES BREW candle that has been absent for a couple of years and is no way the scented candle of the past. Hardly any noticeable scent at all from this, I've found a new freind in Goose Creek Candles, there very scented and priced well, so, so long old freind!
It's been 8 days since I placed my order with them through paypal and they have yet to acknowledge that I even placed the order. Sent numerous emails... and nothing! Not happy.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CANDLES I HAVE RECEIVED AS A GIFT. COULD NOT WAIT TO BURN IT LOL IT DID NOT EVEN SMELL. CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE. THINK THEY ARE OVER PRICED. WOULD NOT BUY MYSELF.
I bought a pack of the wax melts & they smell wonderful, but the scent lasted maybe 4 to 6 hours. I can buy cheap melts at Walmart and they last longer! I will not buy Yankee candle anymore!
I love the scents, always great customer service and I ordered a personalized candle 5 days before Christmas and got it in 2! Too bad for the bad ratings because I love yankee candle

I COLLECT VOLTIVE CANDLE HOLDERS AS A HOBBY. I PURCHASED A SHAMROCK CANDLE HOLDER THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE A GOOD ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION. BOY, WAS I WRONG! THERE WAS A GREEN FILM COVERING THE CLEAR GLASS, PARTS OF THE FILM WAS ALREADY PEELING OFF AFTER OPENING THE ITEM. VERY CHEAP... ACTUALLY, THE CHEAPEST I SEEN IN A LONG TIME. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I should probably not be writing this review right now because I am so so angry. I love YC and have been a very good customer for years. I shop about every 4 months and usually spend over $125.00! The stores I frequented near me have closed so I need to buy online... what a freakin nightmare! They constantly get my credit card mixed up and won't allow me to fix it, they get my address mixed up and continue to want to send it to my old address even though I have been at my new one for over 2 years! They won't allow me to change or fix anything. Today alone I put another order in and it would not use my right credit card. Called on the phone... forget it... the woman could not go in and find my order and wanted me to repeat 16 items and spell them also... after 5 I gave up and did a live chat. That was also a mistake... kept repeating myself over and over and was on the phone for an hour hoping to fix the problem then got disconnected. Don't forget the hour I spent with the woman on the phone. When I called back... got to text with someone else who was more than happy to help me. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to repeat everything and spend even more time on the phone. We will see if my order even comes to my home or goes to my old address that I have not lived at for over 2 years! YC... I am done with you. I have been a great customer and have spent hundreds of dollars but, no more... this will be my last order... shame on you!
Two years ago, I called customer support, who lied to me about my points and promised I'd hear back.
I never heard back.
I stopped shopping there, and all of the stores in the area shut down besides one.
Yesterday, I had a coupon, and certain candles were on clearance online. The large ones were $17.70. I was planning on spending $108-$120. I went to check out, and the four large ones changed to $20. A small one changed from $8.50 to $10.
I went back to the product page. Still $17.70. I tried 4 or 5 times. Last try was 4 am. (Insomnia)
The next morning, I contacted customer service via the web chat. "Krzysztof" asked for screenshots. First, they tried to tell me that it was a glitch and the price was $20. Then they changed their story and admitted that the price was yesterday's clearance price, and they RAISED the prices for their big Semiannual sale. So they lied. I told them again that I tried to buy while it was still on sale (oddly enough it was only on sale before their big sale), and the website had an error.
They insisted that the new price was a great price, and they couldn't help me.
As long as Yankee keeps treating their customers like trash, and outsourcing customer support, they'll keep losing customers and closing stores. Say what you will about Bath & Body, they would have resolved this issue with a $10 credit. Yankee lost $100+, and they also lost a customer that was willing to give them a second chance. I'll be spreading the word about this experience

CAN GET NO ONE TO RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS AND WHEN YOU CALL YOUR ON HOLD FOR HOUR AND THEY HANG UP ON YOU, I PLACE AN ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 2 AND TWO WEEKS LATER THEY SAID IT WAS DELIVER WHEN IT WASNT SO NOW I AM A MONTH WITH NO HELP FROM YANKEE CANDLES AND I BUY THE CANDLES ALL THE TIME BUT I GO TO THE STORE I WILL NEVER ORDER THE CANDLES ON LINE EVER AGAIN THE WORST SERVICES EVERY PLEASE IF YOU BUY THE CANDLES GO TO THE STORE FOR THEM.
