Yankee Candle has medium jar candles with 2 wicks now. Their toppers do not fit and there is actually less candle as well. When I brought this up and asked to return, I got nothing except computer generated replies or a reply from someone who didn't know how to reply. Very disappointed because I do like the candles.
Some of the scents use ingredients known to cause respiratory irritation. Why is this used in a product that is made specifically for a diffuser?
I ordered 9 candles for this Christmas on Dec 2nd. I have STILL NOT received the order, they took my money, you sit on the phone for HOURS waiting and nobody comes on the line! Order from Bath and Body Works, their shipment came! I do NOT recommend Yankee Candle they Have LOST my business. Don't be FOOLED!
I went to the store to purchase a candle using a gift card, they supposedly couldn't get it to work so I paid out of pocket and they told me call customer service. I did call and was hung up on 2 minutes into my call so I called back. The person who answered told me to wait for the person who hung up on me to call me to call back, he couldn't help me. Well that never happened, so the same day I went to their website and submitted my issue online, it's now 5 days later without a response. So, I decided to try the chat which after 15 minutes of back and forth, they told me that there was a zero balance on my GC but since I literally purchased it as I stood in line to pay, it must have gone through. But they'll give me a new GC and they need the receipt. I told them that I put all of that info into my online complaint and they needed to find it as I couldn't find my receipt. I was then conveniently dropped from the chat. I will not ever shop there again or purchase their products. Bath and Body Works has candles that are just as good and better customer service. I suggest everyone do the same.
I was waiting on the phone for 3 hours, put me on hold twice, charged me four times for one order, cancelled an item and never refunded me. I will never order from them again online.

Do not buy online! Received a broken up candle. Have been trying to reach them online (no response) and buy phone twice. Was on hold 45 minutes then1 1/2hours! WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CANDLE FROM THEM! Oh and there was no glass in the box so the candle was shipped that way!
For Christmas I placed a nearly $200 order for gifts for family members, way in advance in the very first week of November. I waited for my order to ship, and when it arrived I received an entirely different order than the one I placed. It was an order of just 4 candles, none of them in any of the scents that I ordered during their big sale, and so I contacted customer service the same day. After over an hour on hold I finally got to someone who could resolve my issue, only to be told that none of what I ordered was in stock any longer and I would have to settle for other items. This was frustrating because I already wasn't going to get what I paid for, but I settled for it and picked out other scents from what was left over and actually in stock.
Again I waited for shipping, and yet again received another incorrect order that didn't even have the correct number of candles in it. I contacted customer service, showed all of the evidence, pictures of the actual candles, pictures of the box, pictures of the invoice, everything that was requested from me multiple times. The only response I got was being told I would need to return all of the correct items I received (costing me a lot of money for shipping) and then I could receive help.
It is now mid January, I have not received a single one of the candles I paid for, and my emails have no longer been responded to. The customer service at Yankee Candle is horrendous and the way they can just dismiss never shipping out an over $200 order is beyond me.
First call I waited for over an hour. Second call I waited for 90 minutes. I emailed customer service with no response. Still no order. Worst experience ever.

First time i ever ordered on line from yankee candle. I rec an email from them stating my package was delivered. It was not. Called "customer svc" where i was transferred to someone in some country where they prob pay the person $1/hr to read back your order on line. I do know how to read so this was a waste of my time. They will not transfer you to united states and they will not give you an answer because they are clueless. Yankee candle should cxl the cust svc phone number as there is NO CUSTOMER SVC. I used to love Yankee Candle and purchased all my candles from them. Over the last couple years however it seems their customer service has gone downhill and I prefer to purchase from other retailers such as Bath and Body Works. Yankee Candle has closed almost all their stores in my area so I have to drive across town to the only one left to shop. Recently I got there and was told their system wasn't processing payments so I should leave. I did some other shopping and came back later that day and was told the same thing. I get system malfunctions happen but customer service was not good as they just told me to leave. I went home and ordered the candles online since my coupon was expiring that day. I hate ordering online from Yankee Candle because they take FOREVER to process your order and then FOREVER to ship it and have it delivered. It usually takes at least 2 full weeks to get an order I placed online and it's frustrating because they send you tracking info that does not update and just tells you your order is "in the warehouse". They are good candles and I love them when I have them but it seems like getting them is becoming more and more in inconvenient.
I placed an order from Yankee Candle on 7/9 and on 7/15 I did a return as I did not need all the items purchased. I was given an email with instructions and had to pay the return shipping back to them. The return address was send to a PO Box. According to my tracking it was delivered on July 19. First phone which in fact was over 45 minutes only to find out that indeed the return address was a PO box and that it would take time for the warehouse to process. Then 2nd, 3rd, 4th and just today my 5th phone call trying to find out the status of my return. All I was told that it was still pending since they had yet to get info from their warehouse. I was even told today that a supervisor would be calling me back today. Well I told the rep that I did not believe I would be getting that call and boy was I correct on that. I was also told on phone call number 4 that it was not necessary to make anymore phone calls to their number. They would contact me through email. Well I've now responded to over 5 emails and have YET to get a response with this method of communication. This transactions is by far the WORST I've ever experienced in my lifetime. I told the rep that if I did not get that phone call from the supervisor, I would be taking measures to get my funds back and that social media would know about this company that does not do their jobs in customer satisfaction. I will never do business with this company and I hate that I can't get back my time spent dealing with this nonsense.
I purchased a YANKEE CANDLE "DEAL" 4 large Candles $50 including shipping. I received 3 and a message saying that the 4th was being processed. After a week I started writing and asked where the other Candle was. I received an email saying that my order was complete. I wrote and said that I hadn't received the 4th candle. I thought that I had been charged $50 by Yankee Candle but they said that I wasn't charged for the 4th candle that didn't received BUT. What they really did was offer 4 Candles@ $50= $12.50. And sold me 3@ $13.33... That wasn't the Deal. They claimed they were out of one fragrance so, rather than contact me and ask to make a different selection or cancel the order. They over charged me. THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME "SALE" RIGHT NOW! IT'S A BAIT AND SWITCH GAME.
For what I spent for 9 candles from Yankees candles, I could have gotten 30 candles from the dollar store

I see many have had problems with Yankee Candle Customer Service. I have never had a problem-in person at a store or online. Products received from placing online orders-ALWAYS arrived in excellent condition. Anytime I've visited a store-great customer service-no problems with returns. I have been a loyal Yankee customer for over 30 years. I stopped being one a few years ago. The reasons for this was simply the candle quality had seriously declined. No scent with most candles. Discontinuation of favorite candles. The incredible price increase! I decided to try them again-after seeing that my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CANDLE OF ALL TIME-Christmas Wish was a returning favorite. This candle WAS a perfect combination of vanilla and pine. I ordered 2 on line. They smelled like Christmas Cookie. If I wanted Christmas Cookie-I'd have purchased that. Yankee Candle-You had perfection in a jar-WHY DID YOU CHANGE THAT? Why mess with perfection. Just recently-I purchased online-Witches' Brew-another favorite. I burned over 2 hours-ABSOLUTELY no scent WHATSOEVER. Unfortunately-I've had this same experience purchasing other products in my local Yankee stores-and I have many around me-live in Stratford, CT. Will be returning the Witches' Brew for a refund to my local Yankee store and then I'm done with your company. Your name was Americana-your original jars were Americana-your scents were wonderful. The town where it all started was Americana. WHAT HAPPENED? You've lost a loyal customer.

Recently I placed an order for 8 large jar candles to be given as gifts. I normally place several orders each year purchasing dozens of candles each year. This time the shipment which was shipped out of GA was not shipped in a normal Yankee Candle box and was shipped in a plain cardboard box. When I opened the box I found each candle wrapped in only one thin layer of bubble wrap and stacked upon each other laying on their sides with no other protective packaging. 5 of the 8 candles had jars that were totally shattered and the other 3 appeared to have what might be hairline cracks. I contacted customer care sending pictures and it took forever for them to respond. After a couple exchanges they finally agreed to replace the 5 shattered candles, but 4 of the ones previously ordered were no longer in stock so they asked what candles I preferred and I gave them a list of 5 different candles. Nest thing I know I get an email stating my order had shipped but the shipment did not contain the ones I had listed.
I again contacted customer care asking for them to reship what I had requested and to issue a return for the coming shipment. They responded that I could drive to a Yankee Candles store and make the exchange request there. I responded that it was over a 2-1/2 hour round trip to the nearest Yankee Candle and certainly would not do so to fix a series of errors on their part. They have not bothered to respond.
I have ordered from Yankee Candle many times and always received products shipped properly and had decent customer service. I am not sure what has changed, but Yankee Candle Customer care just does not care about their customers. I am no longer a customer and will place no more orders. To top it all off I had to go out and purchase alternative gifts and now I am stuck with candles that I did not order.

They advertised special buy one get one free. Ordered 6 was charged for 6! Over an hour wait to contact customer service. NEVER again!

How can a legit business post pricing - send an email confirming the order and then cancel my order because of a glitch?
My candles were broken in transit. They offered the refund and same special but none of the candles are available I wanted.
A maple pumpkin candle was broken, and I set the candle on my kitchen counter after I picked the wax out of the glass, so that I could find a glass container to put it in. I didn't want to throw out an almost full-sized candle. IT STAINED THE COUNTER ORANGE. My white counter. I tried a razor blade, an SOS pad, a steel scrubber, GooBGone and bleach gel, nothing removed it. I contacted the company through their website chat, and the rep couldn't have cared less, just told me I should have put it on a tray.
No cleaning tips, zero apology, nothing... it was all my fault and they weren't accountable.
Okay, sure, how was I to know it had oils that did that? A little graciousness would have been great, maybe an idea on a cleaning product to try? Maybe a touch of empathy on how much it sucks to have a wrecked counter, even if it was my own ignorance? Rude jerk of a customer service rep on chat. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
I love their candles and buy them all the time for myself and to gift. Not sure I'll ever buy another one, but I sure as heck will leave this review everywhere I can possibly publish it.

The very strong scent emitted from the dancing flames (long 3 inch wide wicker) candle wax in square shaped low set glass... smells even when not lit and smells even more when lit... This is exceptionally unhealthy in my opinion: I read commonly emitted VOCs related to the scent in candles include toxins like formaldehyde, petroleum distillates, limonene, alcohol and esters. These harmful chemicals can cause health problems ranging from headaches, dizziness and allergy symptoms to asthma attacks, respiratory tract infections and even cancer... I LOVE THIS CANDLE AND WANT IT TO BE MADE UNSCENTED (is this too much to ask for?) I do not care if they continue to make these toxic ones but should have a healthy choice as unscented candles for the health conscious consumers. I burned this candle for a total of 20 minutes and smelt this strong scent with every breath i took being 3 feet from the candle OUTSIDE. Yes my throat was sore the next day (season allergy made worse by exposure to these toxins.) I don"t care that the sales team claim that its all healthy ingredients. How so? How is the scent natural that we are smelling when its all chemicals we are inhaling? -The fire whisperer
