“Poor customer satisfaction”

Yankee Candle has medium jar candles with 2 wicks now. Their toppers do not fit and there is actually less candle as well. When I brought this up and asked to return, I got nothing except computer generated replies or a reply from someone who didn't know how to reply. Very disappointed because I do like the candles.

Some of the scents use ingredients known to cause respiratory irritation. Why is this used in a product that is made specifically for a diffuser?

I had originally wrote a review about a candle a bought that didn't have any fragrance to it when I lit it. I came back on the internet to update my review but couldn't locate my original one. I wanted to say that Customer Service contacted me and was very nice, supportive, and helpful. Yankee Candle customer service is top notch. Customer care is very important to me and Yankee Candle exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

UPDATE: My order arrived on December 14 via FedEx, exactly correct and complete, safe and sound and securely packed. Oddly, the order status on the YC web site still says "in warehouse", and--as far as I can tell--my credit card has not yet been charged. I have not yet received a communication from YC beyond the initial order acknowledgement on December 4.

ORIGINAL: On December 4, I ordered 3 Woodwick candles. Their web site promptly said that the candles were "in warehouse", so I expected them to ship the next day.
No such luck. Today, December 12, my order is still "in warehouse". When I try to call, I am told that the wait time may be more than an hour. (That is unacceptable.) On December 10 I submitted this issue on their web site. I received an immediate acknowledgement of my submission, but nothing since.

I'm a lifelong YC customer. Going offshore to the Philippines a HUGE MISTAKE! Tried to order candles on sale yesterday. After one hour and thinking all was set, got call next day my order not approved. There are too many very nice people there that CANNOT DO A SIMPLE JOB. So many levels to go through on a simple order. So tired of dealing with agents that cannot do their job. In fact I lost 1/2 my candle order today because they are now out of stock. If the agent yesterday was competent yesterday, I would have my order. Now I had to substitute because she screwed up. Offshore is TERRIBLE

I ordered the Fresh Mint candle from Yankee Candle; the large jar. It came last week and I opened the container over the weekend. I could not believe it. The candle had previously been burned. The wick was black from being lit and there was and there was black residue on the glass lid.In addition the outside of the jar was oily. Had to clean if off. I have bought these candles for over thirty years and never received anything so disgusting. In addition there were advertisements from other companies with the candle ie GIECO insurance. Really?

Worst experiences the last three times ordering online one can even imagine! They CONTINUOUSLY cancel part or all of orders. The first two times I ordered items that were 'low stock' so those were ALL canceled (10 in total). This last time I had 14 candles and two room sprays. All were 'IN STOCK' and low and behold... order canceled! WTF! This company bites **s. I decided I'm done with paraffin wax anyway. I'll be dam ed if I give my business to a company that can't run a company!

Customer service is horrible. Not only will I never order online again, but the customer service they gave me was so bad I will never buy another product from them ever again. I always gave them out as gifts so I hope they enjoy the 500.00 a year they wont be recieving from me.

After my order was not credited with a 10% discount I had put in, I immediately tried to cancel the order. I got the message the site was not available, try later. After many unsuccessful attempts, I called customer service. She couldn't see my order. I emailed customer relations and a few emails later was told the order was cancelled. At this point my credit card was not charged. Days later got an email saying my order was shipped. Many ignored emails later, the package arrived and my card was charged. The response to my final email was the mail box was full. Full of complaints I am sure. Well I gave up and kept the order but I will leave a bad review everywhere I can and never order again.

Went in the store with the intention to use a $10 off $25 coupon. I found $25 worth of items and went to check out. The cashier informed me I couldn't use the coupon on sale items and 5 of the 6 items I had were sale items. Pretty much the whole store was on sale. So I left only purchasing 1 item. Yankee lost $15 worth of sales, to bad they would have let me use the coupon!

I ordered a personalized candle for a Christmas present the last week of November. They shipped it to the WRONG address and not the one I had in my order. Also, I ordered two additional candles with my order and those are still waiting to be shipped. I emailed twice and have now been on hold for 1 1/2 hours and still NO RESPONSE! What happened to Yankee Candle? I grew up in the town that it began in and this is most certainly not the Yankee Candle that I know and loved. Will be rethinking any future purchases that's for sure!

You cant place an order online once you get to the payment method it will have you input your card information then the screen will disappear, I called to speak with a customer service rep she placed me on hold for 30 minutes, couldn't find my order, I then called back 1 hour later hoping to get someone else that can help me, same outcome, I was placing a large order to pass out to my patients for thanksgiving they just lost out I will not place an order in the future nor will I recommend Yankee candle to anyone else. If you cant buy it in the store do not try it online worst mistake guaranteed.

I bought 2 candles- a 7 oz and a 12.5 oz 2 wick candle. They are both Macintoch Spice. I paid a lot of money for these candles and they have no scent. I thought it was me, but my husband told me the same thing- no scent. I have bought your product for years. This is the first time for this.

No. Smell, the tarts I bought at a Yankee candle shop are odorless, so I have wasted my money, I have bought tarts online that were great, but these not so much, plus the staff at the store were dismal and unfriendly

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE...don't buy from this company. It was sold to a company that owns many outlets and does not care what trouble you have in my multiple experiences and based on the bad reviews I read that mirrored my experience. I will shout from the rooftops to hard working people not to was a dime here. Please be wise and find an alternative! I empathize with hard working people and really don't want you to go through my experience or of those other people that have written reviews. I wouldn't give any stars if this website allowed but they probably want to mislead consumers in my opinion!

My son gets my daughter and I Yankee candles every Christmas, the ones I received this pass Christmas were terrible, smoke burning wicks, tall fire from wicks no matter how short I cut them, finally after getting the fire to calm down and they burned for a few hrs, no smell very disappointed, I asked my son to not buy me anymore! I love my candles

No news ont order so called customer service. Sat on hold for 1h26m, only to have Ray answer and say he couldn't hear me and hung up. Today I sat for 2h5m and this time a women who's name I couldn't catch/understand did exactly the same thing. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with my phone. Emails don't get replies either. This is not the Yankee Candle I used to order from. Tragic!

For over 15 years me an my family would do a day trip to go see Santa at yankee candle we spent money to eat an bought lots of stuff. This year I find out now you have to pay to see Santa an make a appointment. Talk about scrooge an the grinch that stole Christmas an ruined a family tradition cause there money hungry. This destroyed one of my family traditions so I wanted to tell everyone about the greed. It wouldn't be so bad but it's 12 dollors a person an a appointment. Then.they try to sell you photos an the cheepest ones are 50 bucks. So it would cost me an my family 90 dollors just to see Santa. Ya let that stew a little bit. Not to mention the quality of there candles have dropped big time in the last 3 years. Well that my story you have bean warned. An yes ime upset the time there ment alot to me an my kids. But no more I guess

This company doesn't care about Americans having jobs! There taking cust service jobs away from americans and giving to the Phillipines. If you want to support products made in the USA... DON'T buy Yankee Candle. You will have a very difficult time getting assistance with damaged products! I had an entire order RUINED by greasy oil from a refill that shattered. They only replaced my broken refill! After I spent hundreds of dollars in their product! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Find a company that CARES about Americans!

I finally received my candle & it is shattered. Emailed yankee candle 3 times and haven't received 1 response. I had to give at least 1 star but don't think they even deserve that. What a disgrace

Ordered my candles on the 9th said 6-8 business days, my items have not been shipped I needed these as gifts for my co workers for the 19th I am so disappointed will never buy another Yankee candle, should have a 0 instead of a 1

Yankee Candle basically stole my money! I placed an order to be shipped to Hawaii. They say on their web site they ship there. I had problems getting the order done on line so I called for assistance. Gave the person all the relevant info and she assured me my order would be shipped to Hawaii asap. Found out they shipped to an address where no one is living right now and then tried to lie their way out of sending the order to the correct place. Supervisor (Mark) was super lazy and lied over and over. TERRIBLE customer service and after HOURS on hold or listening to people lie to me, I have no candles and I am out the money. DON"T ORDER WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT A NIGHTMARE OF BAD SERVICE AND LIES.

Product very poorly finished.
Too many air pockets.
Product from Vietnam or Czechoslovakia.
Do not buy.
No more quality.

I purchased over $600 (35 candles) from Yankee Candle, Woodwick, and its other company. I'm a first-time YC Buyer, I received my sparingly as they didn't ship together. I mention that because the first 4 candles I received had no smell. I don't have COVID because I can smell everything except this candle. It's a lot of money to be spending for YC not to have a solution on why their candles have no smell.

Awful, awful company.
Abysmal customer service received from Yankee Candle.
I purchased a pack of the car vent sticks (Midsummer Nights) and fitted one into my car.
Within a day or so, the scent was non-existent (it was only a faint smell initially) so I contacted their customer service dept to complain.
I received an email from a Konrad who was less than helpful and asked me to produce receipts, photographs and other details to enable them to proceed with the complaint enquiry.
I sent them what they asked for, but apparently missed something off the photographs so he asked me to send additional information.
Now bearing in mind this was a £5.00 purchase (probably costing YC a quid at most), the level of things I was being asked to do as a disgruntled customer, was absolutely ridiculous. Any decent company would've apologised and sent a replacement or a voucher etc. Not Yankee Candle though!
I told Konrad to forget it and stick my complaint where the sun doesn't shine.
Dreadful, dreadful company that I will never use again.

Never seen such bad reviews For a company on all the big review sites!
Shame on you YC Directors for not doing something about it!

This is an awesome candle site and the candles are absolutely fabulous. They last for a long time and the scent is strong but not overpowering. I would recommend these to anyone
