Total scam. They essentially hold your business information's accuracy as hostage, then copy and paste the same response to every comment listed on this page. Go ahead, read the rest of these obviously outraged people rant about how yext and company extort them in order to update a business address, etc. If you're reading this, you might have the smarts to avoid submitting your business information to yext. We actually have not contracted with Yext, but I have looked into them because we constantly get emails stating that our business listing is incorrect on many sites. This was a red flag, because I go to the sites and find that everything is fine. I was also concerned that the Yext staff evidently can't do math. On their top package, the weekly rate comes out to less yearly than what they charge for a year of that plan. When their site shows us "everywhere" we are listed, "incorrectly, not at all, or are missing information on", they also show us as not having a Facebook page. They really need to do their homework before they just keep trying to scam people like this. We have a Facebook page, and our listings are correct on almost every SEO related site.

We scan based on exactly what is inputted via our website, so this can definitely cause some discrepancies if any of the the information is even slightly different.

All businesses will find old indexed data that doesn't go away. Yext will continuously fix things that repeatedly need fixing. If you look at many indexed websites, they're purposely listed differently to game internet indexing. For example, a listing a 100 Main St, # 505 usually reflects a location when viewed on a graphic map that is often a location where there is no unit # 505. Type the main address in a search engine and it will list the current tenants. Welcome to the world of SEO for free.
Every time I speak with one of their reps, it seems I get nothing but grief. I was recently on a conference call with 4 of them. They promised to finally combine my 2 accounts that I've repeatedly requested for 3 years now. I also told them I was not interested in buying blocks to save money and was happy with my buy as I sign clients up. What did they do? Well, without notifying me, without first invoicing me, without any communication whatsoever, they charged my credit card $12,973.33. So sick of their games.

It's a shame that our company even has to take the time to write this review, but after looking at the others it seems to be a consistent pattern of how Yext deals with their clients and try to keep you on a contract that they didn't even fulfill.
We were left hanging for weeks to learn the program and receive help from their "experts" yet - they fail to deliver. We decided to test on our own and luckily we were able to manage it briefly... but afterwards noticed the value was something we could do ourselves and didn't feel the need to proceed forward.
Were hoping our company's review will be taken seriously for anyone to consider them and be sure to write more reviews on other platforms until Yext can come to an agreement with us.

Yext is a waste of money, & time. They don't help when you have a problem. & 90% of the websites they put you on, nobody has even heard of, & the popular ones, you can easily manage yourself. If you have your credit card information on file, they try to automatically renew your subscription without prior consent. I had to block them from my email list, because of their constant harassment to renew a service that they never performed in the first place. Is there a zero stars option?

One of the most illegitimate business models I've ever come across. Yext owns directory listing sites, like MapQuest, and will populate your business listing and information. To include accurate information, you'll have to pay $500/year subscription fee. Customer service is nonexistent but their sales team will stalk and spam you to no end.
Things were a little confusing after my companies Yext purchase. There was no receipt and I didn't receive a login after processing the credit card. They redeemed themselves with their customer service over the phone and I was granted access to our account quickly. I'd like to thank them for their help!

The subscription did not do a damn thing for our web visibility. Here is the info on our Analytics from YEXT:
"There is no data in the range you have selected.
If your account is new, wait a few weeks for data to become available.
Otherwise, try changing your selections above."
This is the response after 11 months of service.
After we paid 100s of dollars, they just disappeared, and with over 20 requests from their site and countless calls and text to the agent that sold this system to us. We have NOT got one call back to help finish setting us up.
Tip for consumers:
If you are needing help with your company and not an internet savvy, do not use this company to help you set up the system that you pay for.

I had been a customer since 2018 with all my customers using the service. I was automatically renewed in late February. I reached out to my rep to discuss and he never responded. I just concluded a three month communication with Yext's ticket system and they will not cancel my auto renewal as they claim i had inform them 30 days before renewal. Had a rep contacted me i would have. These are tough times. All my agency's clients are closed. I had cancelled each individual client account with Yext. I offered to pay one month as a compromise but they will not accept. I just told them to terminate my account completely and will never work with them again. I assume i will see them in court. What a poor way to treat a customer. There are plenty of other services out there.

I signed up with Yext. Yes they took my money and I have very nice listings across their platforms. I have no traffic from the listings but very nice listings. Thanks so much to the reviews above I took off the auto-renew feature. They told me bad things would happen. What can happen, no calls, visits or leads from these useless directories, how can it be worse? They have 8 months to make the phone ring!

Yext is such a rip off. Several weeks after paying them they dtill had not update the search engine sites. I have been going to each one myself and updating them. I don't know why YEXT isn't shut down for not following though.

Additionally, only with our services is that information locked so that other sources can't go in and undo the changes that you make to your listings when you go to each site. We didn't see our business on Yahoo map anymore like it used to be for 13 years. Yahoo directed us to Yext. We got talked into subscribing. We told them what we wanted. We filled out everything they asked. They told us it would take 30 days to see our business on the map and other things to match up. After about a month, we did finally see our business on there. Problem is, it didn't last. I think it lasted a total of 2 months, we even kept our Yext info site and acct updated for months following and still nothing. We were back off the map almost the entire time being signed up, still are today, not within any search engine searches, and my subscription ends next month. Needless to say I'm not using them again. A complete waste of $500 for the 6 mos we paid. Turns out you can actually go through Yahoo directly and pay less! We got ripped off so warning others. Probably won't be going through Yahoo either. I'm done with Yahoo & Yext altogether, unless it's free.

Yext manages Yahoo's search engine. For month's now they have listed my business hours incorrectly. Trying to reach someone who can fix that is so far for me impossible. Yahoo directs you to Yahoo's own website who then after a few frustrating phone calls directs you to Yext. After a pleasant text interaction they were able to direct me to register to claim the free listing. Easy enough however they don't have a place to enter business hours unless you pay them. They stopped texting me when I declined to upgrade and puchase the service. I might have looked at their product if they had been willing to help me with my issue.

Started with Yext in 2017. It was ok and it was a resource I needed to generate more business with. Watch out for the auto-renew as it's difficult to cancel with YEXT as there is absolutely no live contact, no email nor phone to cancel! Disputed with my credit card company but it may take up to 90 days for a possible refund!

I signed up with YEXT and after two weeks of trying it, decided it wasnt worth the price tag. YEXT says i'm out of luck and have to stay with them for a year, spending nearly 2,000 on a service i don't want and don't need.

Update: " you have been speaking directly with our Account Management team about termination and that this request has been fulfilled as of today". We tried to talk with the account management and they refused. They said it was not an option. We had to file a claim with our credit card to cancel the charge. Thank goodness we put it on a credit card or we would have been stuck with it.

They try to tell you how your website is not showing up on Google, Yahoo, and Bing when it really does. Like they know exactly what your target audience, keywords, and goals are for your internet marketing campaign. The guy "Josh" even gave me a keyword suggestion that was searched 0 times according to Google's Keyword Tool. Thanks Josh for the great advice, you just told me how to make my company fail.
They get an attitude with you over the phone when you ask them a question because they do not know how to answer it. Then they try to call you over and over again until you have no choice but to call authorities to get them to remove your number. Have a conflict of interest with this website.

Let us assume that I am a business ABC with XXXXX98 phone number however just to take advantage of/ruin reputation of other business I list my business as XYZ (more popular one). Does Yext verify this data and if yes, how long does this take? Have you come across any clarification by Yext on this?
