I found zip jobs to be very helpful and was a huge stress relief. The person I worked with was very very helpful and did a great job considering we never talked on the phone. However, I wish I knew that I would only have 7 days to work with someone. I would not have signed up when I did if I had known prior to putting in my card info that there would only be 7 days. That is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.
Working with them was a great experience! The results of the finished product were well above expectations.

Arishya was the best! They took the time to go through all of my edit/changes I wanted made and was very polite throughout the who process!
Hi McNeilly,
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad to hear that Arishya provided a thorough and polite experience while making your requested edits.
Wishing you all the best in your job search!
Absolutely unethical company. Do not buy their service. If you decide to cancel BEFORE using the service at all they will charge you a $100 fee due to due fictitious policy about "surpassing their trial period". First of all when I pay for a service that's not a trial period. Secondly when I have not used the service at all or even created an account and being charged a ridiculous fee that's is 53% of my payment in order to just cancel then that is THEFT OF SERVICES in the state of CA. This is unjust and absolutely shows you what kind of crappy people and organization they are. Stealing from consumers is what they do. BE WARNED!
Everything far exceeded my expectations. I was extremely happy with the final resume, cover letter, thank you letter, and LinkedIn profile.
However, the writer I was assigned had-at time-a slow response to my emails. Other than that I was very satisfied.

I needed a resume that would allow me to get through to recruiters and get interviews, and not get rejected by the auto screening process. In addition, I needed a more concise LinkedIn profile to help accomplish the same thing.
Hank C did a great job for me, rewriting my resume and LI profile. Both were well-written and the turnaround time was fast.
We're delighted to hear that Hank C was able to meet your specific needs and help you craft a resume and LinkedIn profile that effectively navigates through recruitment processes. It's wonderful that the content is not only well-written but also aligned with your goals of securing interviews and overcoming automated screening. Best of luck in your job search, and thank you for choosing our service!
Purchased their "Premium" product promising "Future resume update for changes in your career. Never expires!"
Well thinking that I may have a fork in the road career-wise down the road I foolishly thought it would future proof my purchase by buying the Premium package for $299. Well, it turns out that means they will add whatever current job I am at to the end of the resume they created for me.
RIP OFF. Frankly, their resume and cover letter were average at best as well. Don't waste your money.
Turn around time after first draft was more than 10 days! And the quality of the first draft was very low: inconsistent, unrelated, and a random copy paste from my letters of recommendation at best! Like an elementary school kid wrote it.
I emailed them to refund the money and they said "no refund".
The cover letter was written for the wrong job! I cannot believe it!
Please do not waste your money here.
Hi Damoun, we are very sorry for any issues that occurred with your project. We see that you have been in touch with our support team regarding your order and are working towards a resolution. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email support@zipjob.com.
I know it sounds harsh, but the reality is that they outsource somewhere outside of the US. most likely India. I wanted my resume tailored to a Director level position in Artificial Intelligence, but the language used did not have appropriate connotations and did not display relevant experience. Their customer service was good - as I was assigned a second writer when I expressed dissatisfaction at the first, but the second did not improve the verbiage. I am going to strip down my resume completely and rebuild it and recommend against using ZipJob.
Hi William, we apologize for any issues that may have occurred with your documents and would like to make it right for you. We were unable to locate your order with the information provided. Please contact our Customer Care team at support@zipjob.com so we can better assist you.
I was thoroughly disappointed with every aspect of the services purchased from ZipJob. I purchased a resume, cover letter, linkedin profile, and consultation call. None of the documents I received were usable nor were any of my concerns addressed either on the phone or in written communication. None of the documents were proofed for grammar or accuracy based on the information given. I would give zero stars and suggest not wasting your money.
Below is in image of the final linkedin doc provided to me.
Instructions were clear, person assigned to me was knowledgeable, helpful, responsive, received edits within hours. Editing process continued for multiple revisions and always with the same response, swift, helpful, and well informed.
Heather, thanks for sharing! We're happy to hear you had a positive experience with ZipJob!
I have been applying to jobs for a month and not had a single interview. They told me they wouldn't do anything until 60 days past. When I requested the top skills from the ATS report NONE in my field or even highlighted skills appeared. Don't waste your money.
Who knew you only got 7 days to review the documents!
Something about spending $300 and only getting TWO reviews in a set time amount is crazy! There were some really funky writing issues (completely misused words, bad grammar, etc. and I should know! I've got a degree in English and am used to editing and reading technical writing!)
I wanted help writing a good resume (because everyone needs a little help once and a while! Plus, I'm a busy person!) but I don't feel I got much for my money. I ended up correcting A LOT of the problems myself (was also told I couldn't add things I wanted to add? Like what kind of bull is that? It's MY resume and MY relevant experience.)
Not sure if it was MY assigned writer or what, but this service is lazy, expensive, and in my honest opinion, bad.
HUGE bummer.
I invested $300 for the resume rewrite and LinkedIn profile edits, with the hope of achieving better results in the initial stages of job interviews. While I acknowledge the challenging economic conditions and the competitiveness of the job market, I had anticipated at least some modest improvement. However, my experience so far has not met this expectation.
I've noticed that the resume still does not format properly within systems like Workday, which indicates that it might not be effectively optimized to bypass algorithms. This optimization was a primary reason for my investment in these services.
This is the first time that I have used this kind of service and I am very pleased. The finished products (resume and cover letter) are much more impressive than I could of ever developed as Marsha was able to market my skills in a way I had not considered. She walked me through every step of the process in an easy to follow manner. She left me plenty of time to review the drafts after each edit, but also offered suggestions that were very helpful along the way. She never rushed me and made sure I was completely satisfied and ready before we finished the process. I have already recommended Zipjob to two of my colleagues.
I purchased a package at noon on a Thursday and within 24 hours I received my revamped resume and cover letter. I had very little edits, which was revised and returned quickly. Not only did I receive the updated resume quickly, but there was explanations as to why things are no longer applicable or outdated. Overall, wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
Quick turnaround time, writers are easy to work with, excellent resume. It's worth every dime to have such an updated professional resume written. They took years of jobs and what I had as lengthy descriptions they updated with shortened and precise wording that catches the eye. All their work landed me my next job! I would highly recommend their service!
I was very hesitant to use ZipJob after reading some reviews on other sites, but my experience was great! While I wish they were a little more upfront about how their process works (only so many emails/changes within so many days). I had an amazing Resume within 72 hours!
Kimberly, we're so glad to hear about your positive experience with ZipJob and we truly appreciate your feedback as we constantly look to make improvements.
It's been 3 weeks and I still don't have a satisfactory resume. They don't offer refunds. You get bounced around to different writers who do little to the resume. Waste of $300! My current resume looks more professional. Don't waste your money. If you take the time, you could do your own resume. After this experience, I will have to redo what they sent me. The writers are clearly not as good as they advertised.
I would recommend ZipJob for assistance with resume and cover letter writing. Judy was very patient and helpful during the process. She had some really good suggestions that helped to tighten up my resume. She also helped me craft a strong cover letter that offered the flexibility to make needed adjustments for different job applications. Resume and cover letter writing is not easy, especially when you're not used to the process and Judy made it much easier. ZipJob also helps develop the proper formatting and key word usage necessary to get through the screening process which can often be based on computer algorithms instead of human eyes.
Hi Michael, we're happy to hear your experience with ZipJob and working with Judy was positive and successful and we appreciate your feedback!
Answer: Hi Phil, Thank you for your service! As an Army Mom, I very much appreciate your commitment and service. My younger son did two tours in Afghanistan in three years with the Army. My older son continues to serve as an Army Reservist with deployments under his belt. Please keep in mind the VA has services available to assist with transition out. Also look at what your state has to offer for Veterans. You did not mention your work/professional vocation in your post. My advise, based on recent experience, is do not go with or trust Zipjob.
Answer: That's the same situation I was in. Just give them everything and let them figure out what to leave out, or combine, or highlight. My writer knew just what to do.
