Super hosts keep airbnb in business. Otherwise airbnb is pretty incompetent and customer support is horrible.
Unethical consumer practice:
If you book 7 nights and add an 8th at the same place, you pay another round of airbnb fees instead of adding to an existing reservation. So they charge for changes which hotels don't do.
When their site will not take your information and you request support, you receive copy & paste tier-1-level replies that don't resolve anything at all. Their support staff don't actually read your messages.

Tip for consumers:
A good superhost may intervene on your behalf when airbnb is unethical with redundant fees

There have been several instances of licensing fees charged to my credit card well-after the title had been removed from stores. DK never references which title for which they are charging so as to perhaps sneak it by the customer/music artist. I've complained but it still happens.

Furthermore, their $12 annual license fee is flat so a struggling artist needs $12,000 streams annually, often without label support or procurement, just to break even. It would seem that under consumer law that licensing be done on a per-stream-basis. Bur DK is clearly and solely a profit-driven business where music artists should consider a better alternative out there.

check your credit card statements carefully if you sign up for DK!

There was no option to check out as guest. Very soon after placing an online order, I started to receive a barrage of junk emails from Wayfair, at least once per day, and long before my order would arrive. One email arrived bothering me for feedback long before my order was even shipped!

I suspect Wayfair will be selling my personal info. I never elected to receive promotions. But after the very first email I received I immediately unsubscribed from all. But the next day, I receive a promo for a Wayfair credit card. This may likely violate Federal Privacy Laws of the FCC.

I will not buy from Wayfair ever again, and as and independent electrical contractor, I will recommend the same to all my clients who also would not wish to receive so much junk email after ordering from Wayfair. I will be blocking Wayfair from my email box and posting this same review on online sites.

Tip for consumers:
Do not purchase from Wayfair and be forced to give away your email address that they'll use to send you promotions even after you unsubscribe.

Finally! After years of buying strings at retail like Guitar Center where stock is limited and employees know nothing of classical guitar strings. Then you have to show your receipt for strings to security before they let you leave... No more!
I've been buying from this site for years and will continue to do so.
Whenever I have trouble locating an exact product, customer service has replied promptly with a link.
My classical string needs are specific - bass-only sets and an individual 1st string of specific type. They've always come through with whatever tension setup I need.

I was scammed by an online imposter who got me to purchase Amazon gift cards for them. The gift cards were claimed by the wire-fraud thief. But Amazon has since refused to investigate who used the illegaly-obtained gift cards to place orders on Amazon.

Since there is no delay between purchase and claim of their online gift cards, Amazon LLC is helping to perpetuate the growth of online wire fraud and cyber crime theft with no consequences for their refusal to investigate.

No reply from Amazon customer relations every time I ask who claimed and used my gift cards.
No denial from Amazon customer relations when I ask if anyone can buy from Amazon anonymously.

Prior to this, a delivery of a MacBook laptop in 2020 was stolen by Amazon personnel; the Apple product box arrived already opened and emptied. After months of complaints, I had to go all the way to office of Jeff Bezos to get Amazon to cease charging my credit card monthly for a "return" of product I had never received since Amazon refused to investigate the crime that happened on their side at that time as well.

Tip for consumers:
Be extra careful when buying Amazon gift cards. They are non-returnable, non-refundable.

We've been through several coffee machines of Nespresso because they do not last more than two years. Bad designs.

But ordering coffee online with being able to recycle their pods has been great though you have to be careful and watch the recurring unchecked boxes when trying to use their offers for free samples.

Order less than 16 coffee boxes or they'll use the excuse that your samples could not fit into their shipment.

I'm a pro contractor. I ordered 75W LED bulbs from Home Depot online but I was sent 100W which were too bright and unusable. Both the store and corporate said I had to return the items to a store myself though it was their vendor who screwed up, delaying my project and embarrassing my small business. I then ordered the same items from...(Prime)... where I'll get the items sooner and have to spend far less time and effort if there is an error with shipment.

I have left numerous reviews on my local Home Depot store on Yelp as well as sending complaints to corporate, complaining for years about their horrible customer service. Nothing has changed. Home Depot does not care about their customers.

Tip for consumers:
Other sites have a much easier method for returns and a faster replacement turn-around. It is risky to order online from Home Depot if you are on a timeline.

I purchased online a $1,700 computer monitor from Newegg as NEW but the product arrived in its factory box without a shipping box or proper padding. Item box had already opened, factory seal torn, and the product did not work.

This is Newegg's issue, not mine. But Newegg expects customers to wait for the RMA return to ship back and process, and then wait again for a replacement to be shipped.

This negatively impacted my small business and we'll never shop Newegg again.

Avoid it. Sales fraud and you wait a long time

Freelancer logged double the hours than their quote and UpWork allowed it. I left freelancer an appropriate & honest review and they retaliated by leaving personal negative reviews of my business on Yelp. I complained to the BBB about this but UpWork still assumes no responsibility nor liability at all for promoting freelancers who end up costing a business income after over-charging. AVOID UPWORK FREELANCERS.
