I ordered some flowers to be delivered to a camp in Pennsylvania, USA (from UK) where my daughter is working for the summer, as it was her birthday. So I chose this company from a google search for that area. Easy to order and the flowers were delivered on time. Although I only ordered a small bouquet (trying to keep costs down) the quality of the flowers looked good, and some buds were still to open when they arrived, so would have filled out a bit more. Happy with the service and was updated when they were delivered.

I am sooo sorry I placed an order thru Aves Flowers. Their website was easy to navigate and use. However, once the order was placed with an undisclosed service fee and a rush fee for delivery before 2:00 pm. Sun was sunny. Weather was not a factor. Could not get in touch with customer service. Could not get an answer on line. Recieved a text that the arrangement was delivered…. GUESS WHAT! Not recieved! 30 years of service? BEWARE.

I am sooo sorry I placed an order thru Aves Flowers. Their website was easy to navigate and use. I ordered a Christmas bouquet for my children's Nana. In the picture it was gorgeous - red roses, white lilies and greenery in a red ornament shaped vase. I received an email that I was to contact them urgently. I called and was told that they would not be able to deliver on Christmas Eve as promised, but would be able to deliver between Dec. 27-31. At the same time they told me they didn't have the lilies but would send 12 red roses. I told them I did not want only red roses (this is supposed to be a Christmas bouquet!) that I wanted some white flowers added as well. Ok, fast forward - they charged my credit card on Christmas Day but the order wasn't delivered until Dec. 27 and it looked NOTHING like any of the pictures of Christmas bouquets. It was a clear vase, no ribbon or bow, with about 12 pastel roses (two of which were already turning brown!). I called and spoke to a person in a call center (who was obviously at home as I constantly heard a baby crying in the background) who informed that she could not get me a Christmas arrangement at all but would like to offer a partial refund! I said I want a Christmas bouquet delivered or I want a FULL refund. She said a full refund was possible but she had to inform me that the supplier "might" go and pick up the flowers!? I said, what would they want with some already brown spring roses?! Anyway, I told her I would NEVER use them again. Next time I'll call someone reputable like 1-800 flowers or FTD. What a JOKE!

Tip for consumers:
I should have looked at the Reviews first. They have an overall whopping 1.2! But since they are in the same town as the recipient I thought surely they couldn't mess it up. I was very wrong!

Order # ******* - I paid for delivery before 2pm it was delivered at 4:06pm? A $64. Arrangement cost $110.00 plus the $9.99 charge to deliver by 2pm, and they still could not delivery on time. If you call, they have a new number you have to call and then you cannot speak to a anyone. The message directs you to the website to the support button that does not give you an option to type the problem. If gives you options to choose from and when the options don't answer the question. The support bottom goes away, and you start over with the same question... When Avas calls you better pick up because you will not get your answer taken care without that, human communication.

What a scam, stated the #1 florist, paid to expidte, paid to get delivery ans NO SHOW! Don't waste your money find a local shop and speak to someone local. This place is in Deleware.

I called to put an order and less than one hour later. I tried to cancel it. I called multiple times and was disconnected five times each time. I was told to hold to get confirmation of my cancellation each time asking if I would take a $15 discount this is a horrible company never use this company at the end of the day, I was not able to get my refund and the flowers were awful

I would give a ZERO if possible. My father ordered flowers for my birthday, they notified him that they were delivered, in fact they were NOT, and never were, and they charged him well over a hundred dollars!
BUYER'S BEWARE! THEY ARE NOT A "LOCAL" FLORIST AS ADVERTISED.

Flowers were not delivered as promised and ruined the surprise. Wrong flowers were delivered. There was no vase for the flowers. Chocolate covered strawberries box was covered in slime from ice pack.

Tip for consumers:
Customer service was horrible. I asked for a manager and the girl hung up on me......

Avoid Like the Plague: Avas Flowers' Unacceptable Service

I am writing this review as a warning to others: DO NOT ORDER FROM AVAS FLOWERS. My aunt passed away last week, and I thought it would be a kind gesture to order flowers from Avas Flowers for her funeral. What a horrific mistake.

The initial order was placed on the day before the furneral grave service, but the flowers didn't arrive until 5 days AFTER the funeral. Not only did we not receive the flowers on time, but when they finally arrived, they were nothing special. The arrangement looked like something I could have bought at Walmart for a fraction of the cost. And to make matters worse, the cheap glass vase that came with it was an embarrassment.

I'm still fuming about this experience. Not only did Avas Flowers fail to deliver on their promise of timely and quality flowers, but they also left our family feeling embarrassed and disappointed during a time when we should have been able to focus on mourning and celebrating my aunt's life.

To add insult to injury, when I tried to get a full refund, the customer service team was unhelpful and unwilling to accommodate my request. They offered a paltry partial refund, which only added to my frustration. This was only offered to me after I declined a 25% off coupon on my next order.

In hindsight, I wish we had never ordered from Avas Flowers. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

UPDATE: Despite reaching out multiple times, the customer service team at Avas Flowers failed to resolve this issue satisfactorily. It's clear that they don't care about their customers or their experiences.

I have used Ava's for a few years and was very happy with the arrangements ordered until the last few orders. I have asked that certain florists not be used to fill my orders but was ignored. I order "as shown" bouquets but small have been sent to the recipients AND i paid for "as shown". Arrangements weren't even close to what i purchased. Some looked like roadside picked weeds. SERIOUSLY!. I was only compensated $10.00 for each arrangement which was for 3 arrangements that I paid over $80.00 each. They didnt even rate one star from me

They advertise as a local delivery florist in your specific area. They are not local florist. They charge a $28 service fee on top of the floral arrangement plus a $10 delivery fee. The arrangements I sent was tiny even though I ordered a large arrangement. I will never use them again. False advertising!

So my significant other wanted to surprise me for my birthday and ordered flowers for me. First off he gets a call and they say the original one he ordered was out of stock. So they tell him about another one and he agrees. So now they didn't make it till 3 days after my birthday. Not only was the way wrong order sent but the balloon that cost extra was not included. He spent over $100 on an orchid plant. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful but he could have saved $100 and picked one up from the local grocery store. I added a picture for comparison

Worst experience: express delivery-5 days. Conformation-had to call them,8 times. Was then promised a photo conformation = nothing, still don't know! I was really counting on them.
Now,I may never have the opportunity to tell her how I feel.

Would've given 5 stars but balloons had Happy birthday written in Spanish I paid almost $150 for this order they should've gotten in right also ordered from this company earlier this month no problem. Will change to another company going forward because consistency is important to me.

Far from satisfactory online floral business. They have photos of bouquets on their website that not only do not exist, but the florists they work with did not even try to replicate the original. Too few stems were in the delivered bouquet; it looked like my child could have arranged it. There was NO greenery or extra foliage added to make the bouquet look full! We were embarrassed when we received the photo from our friends of what they actually received. The only positive was that the reps on the phone were always kind and gave a partial discount when we we expressed our shock and dissatisfaction. Please see below for photos of the website bouquet - and then what was actually delivered. We will never use this site again.

$138.00 for large bouquet of delivered flowers. Paid extra for expedited delivery. Flowers arrived late. Better to go to grocery store and pick something up. Use Uber delivery. Also, this is a third party provider. Very high fees.

Very disappointed. Delivered flowers did not look as advertised. I understand that substitutes are allowed, however, delivered arrangement was very low quality, supermarket quality at escalated premium price.
Additionally, be aware of additional fees, such as service charge of $25 on top of all other fees. Do not recommend. Will never use again.

I order flowers for my friends birthday. They sent me a email saying the flowers were delivered & never arrived. I contacted them for a refund of my $87. The customer service rep said I will be refunded in 5-10 business days. I still haven't received a refund & it's been 16 days already. This is by far the worst floral company I've had to deal with.

Ordered flowers and said free delivery at check out it was there and no way to take it off using the code word and they have a service fee witch made the the flowers i ordered 2 times the original cost. When delivered had my name spelt wrong. Never again best to call w forest in the town you need to send flowers and deal with them. All this company does is the same call a florist in the town you need flowers sent to. Order # *******

I order a baby boy floral arrangement, large, to be delivered for a new baby boy. I also paid for balloons to be added. Delivery person showed up with no balloons and went back to grab some. The flowers delivered had no baby boy/blue hints at all, floral arrangement is small to medium. Extremely disappointed and I am here to see these in person. Not happy and would never recommend again.

Also, cannot speak to anyone, online or by phone about my order. I feel ripped off and I am extremely upset. Worst floral arrangement that I have ever paid for.

I wanted to have a plant delivered to an acquaintance because her mom passed. I picked a (somewhat over priced) peace lily and was glad to see a "special" code that waived the delivery fee. When I looked at the invoice for the delivery, there was a $24.95 "service fee" that I don't remember seeing listed or mentioned when I booked the delivery. I will NOT use this service again, $83 for a medium sized plant is not worth any kind of convenience that delivery provided!

The arrangement was sent from a soccer team to their coach due to a loss in her family. I felt the arrangement was beautiful and something their coach would be able to keep as a reminder of the team and how much they loved and respected her. It was delivered on time. It did look a little different, but that is stated in the description due to seasonal availability.

The recipient (my cousins) were very happy with the arrangement...kudos to you. However, the $25 service charge should be disclosed at the beginning of the ordering process, with an explanation of what it's for. Otherwise, it just feels like padding the bill. Just my comments to improve your customer service.

The flowers were fresh and artfully done. We were more than pleased Thank you Ava Flowers you made a big hit! They were beautiful! They were so pretty that they used them on the pulpit! My husband was proud of me for doing such a good job!
