We regularly use Biblio.com and appreciate the personal service. The book which we purchased on this occasion was well described and arrived on time in good packaging. We would recommend their services.
I received DSM 5TR from these guys and I have had it for 4 months and all the pages are becoming loose and starting to fall out. I know of DSM's that have been clinical officers for years being used by entire teams and not be like this. I asked for replacement or refund and denied. Though it's clearly not made for purpose. Very disappointed

Biblio does a great job of platforming individual small business owners who wish to sell quality used and rare materials to a wide audience. In my opinion it stands head and shoulders above AbeBooks and Amazon (which now owns Abe.) while it seems some users on SiteJabber have had bad experiences, they should blame the independent booksellers they bought from, rather than Biblio.com.

I love books. I love used books the most; tangible, previously-loved vessels of thoroughly enjoyable entertainment and for whichever location you choose...
Biblio present as nicely customer-focussed through speedy and friendly service. They also boast reliable and sustainable delivery. 5 stars no less. Thanks for a great first experience! Means everything when it comes to accessing my books!

Ordered a textbook without any apparent problem, and received a confirmation that all looked legit.
Book didn't arrive on time. Contacted seller and was told that it had shipped, but it takes some time to arrive. Note that I had paid for expedited shipping.
I asked for the USPS tracking number. None was provided.
The phone number for customer service went unanswered, despite numerous calls.
The emails I received in reply all pointed to the same (apparently unoccupied) phone number.
The emails were all strangely signed with different names, like "Chris R.", "Robert M.", "Susan B." - all first name and last initial, even when they were giving a reply to a mail that was on a thread. Made me think that the responses were auto-generated.
Ultimately I asked for a refund, which was processed.
What a hassle.
Crap service, crap site, ordered a book off their site and a week later I get your orders been refunded because the books no longer available what a crock I'll never buy from them again should have known the 2 star rating they have speaks for itself don't waste your time or money
Notorious for false advertising though confusing wording and placement of sales information. Many books are at least 4 times expensive as Amazon.com. Biblio.com will place verbiage on the site indicating that you are buying a bulk package of books, but in reality you are only paying for one at 4 times the price. Be wary, their support staff is a little sarcastic and will not treat you with much respect if you wish to make a return.
I ordered 'Cosmos: a sketch of a physical description of the universe'' from Alexander von Humboldt via biblio books. I did not want any new edited ones, I wanted a new reprint of the original 1866 version. I was not sure because I had never heard of biblio books, and in general I never quickly fully trust anything online, but did it anyway as the book was not expensive and I did some limited research on biblio books. My book arrived in Berlin (where I lived at the time) and I just love it so much. It even has a small yellow textile string to mark which page you are. Very happy with the purchase, cheap and exactly what I wanted.
Ordered a textbook on September 9 and it was to be delivered by September 23. They said it was lost (no tracking) and they would send out in 2 days. It's been 4 days with no book. I have called all morning... been disconnected 5 times. Natalia called me back and again we were disconnected. Then Amy! Again disconnected. I even emailed the CEO. I just wanted the book and to please communicate. Now, they have refunded the money and I have wasted 2 weeks waiting for this book. Absolute worst customer service ever! And they want me to call if I get the book so they can charge me! I am charging them for my time! JOKE OF A COMPANY!
I ordered a book with express shipping (3-5 days) and it has been 2 weeks and no book. I contacted their customer service multiple times and have gotten nothing but generic "sorry" emails. The tracking number says it has never even left its first location. They have offered me no help at all and I would never suggest this site to anyone.
Recently ordered a title for them, had my card billed for the amount, and then never received a confirmation email; when I went to my order history on their site, no trace of the order existed. Fortunately I had paid through PayPal which refunded my money, as otherwise there would have been no way of getting a refund for an order that seemingly never existed--except for Biblio to scalp money off of my card for it.
Not the first time I've had a poor experience with them, but it will certainly be the last.
Hello Muriel - can you please write to support@biblio.com with your order number or email address used to place the order? We always send a confirmation email when an order is successfully placed, and if you ordered as a guest, you wouldn't be able to find an order in your history. I'm glad you were able to get your money back through PayPal but we'd love to sort out what happened with your order.
Non existent customer service, bait and switch pricing, rude, and not worth the hassle. They more than doubled the shipping cost a day AFTER I paid for the book. I asked why, and instead of answering that simple question they outright cancelled my order.
Quick service. Book in excellent condition as described, well packaged. Too often used book descriptions are inaccurate: "may have writing or underlining." Very good should mean no writing or underlining. This book met the description.

Thanks so much for your review, Jorge! I'm glad the book was accurately described and arrived so quickly!
I ordered a book for my mother for mothers day with expedited shipping. Not only have I not received any information, or the book, but when I went to contact the seller, I was told my email was blocked. Great job Biblio! As I have not ordered with this site before, I have no idea how to be refunded, and I ordered as a guest. If my order ever does turn up, or if Biblio reached out to refund me, I'll make sure to change my review.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site. I'm fairly sure it's a scam and worth more trouble than just buying the same book on Amazon for slightly more.

Some people don't understand that Biblio.com is a service that connects them to booksellers that have listed their books online with Biblio. Biblio is not selling the books, they are only the intermediary. I never had a problem with a bookseller (and there have been many) that Biblio.com hasn't resolved for me when direct communication with the seller has failed. Research the bookseller reputation before placing your order.
I study in an Ivy league grad program and found 3 books from Biblio at $1-$ + 3 to 4 bucks shipping.
I thought there was no way they would delivery but lo and behold 12 days later they all arrived!
I'm talking about hard bound cover books. 2 in good condition and 1 marked up but still usable.
I'm still shocked. I had super low expectations and i had little to lose paying $12 with paypal loaded cost for $100 worth of books and they all arrived.
Most likely the low score is because ppl don't rate good service.
Biblio, like ABE, etc is a venue for sellers to sell their books. What I love about it as a seller are it's fair commission rates, the ease of use, and the fact that it isn't owned by Amazon. I love ABE as well but they were bought by Amazon which I can tell you from selling at Amazon is like trying to survive a capricious God. Anyway, many of these reviews are unfair because customers might have encountered a lousy seller which sold them a lousy book. Same thing would hav happened had they bought from that same seller on ABE. Amazon is much worse because there are thousands of people who aren't booksellers and don't know how to describe a book unless it's new. I list on 5 services and this is by far my favorite. I don't sell as often but when I do it's generally my more expensive better books.

I wanted an older Magazine come book on building model aircraft, it was a specific version & although i have found one or two versions of it they were way above the price i wanted to pay and mostly second hand.
I found Biblio and they had two versions of the book i wanted at between a quarter to half price and were still under other prices even when postage and packing were included. I ordered the book and received a perfect volume two days later. Great service guys

Hi Tony, I'm glad you had such a positive experience with us, and I really hope your father enjoyed the books!
I ordered a book for my nursing leadership class sort of last minute and it was slated to arrive in January 3rd. That's actually the day my class starts. However, the book was delivered on Monday, December 27th. I am so appreciative for the expedited shipping.
When I ordered books from Abe I was cheated regularly. I have not had that experience with biblio.com. I don't buy the cheapest book available and I read the description carefully. I also don't order from booksellers with a poor reputation.
Moments after I place my order on Biblio and saw that books runs was the business, I decided to look up Books Run I got very nervous since all of there reviews were bad regarding books not being shipped out, being charged for a book that was never received. So Immediately asked for a refund, but the books were already shipped out (so I hoped and worried that nothing went wrong) My books arrived from fedex and the other order from Usps and I they were in great condition even when I requested used they looked brand new. I decided to do this review since I saw all the negative reviews and I had a great outcome buying from them. I will purchase future books from them! Also I am in Los Angeles and the books arrived in 5 days! Great shipping.

I have been a customer of Biblio for several years now, I have always had excellent customer service from the shops from which I have purchased my books. The condition of the books has always been spot on can't fault that. The only thing that I might say is to look at where the bookseller resides, the first book I bought was from Oregon and it took me several minutes to understand how it was shipped so soon, I had ordered it on line at about 22.30 on a Saturday, so when I received confirmation on Sunday morning that it had been shipped I was thinking that the bookseller was working late into the night before it dawned on me that there was a little time difference between London and the Pacific coast!
No photograph, sorry, I buy books to read not photograph.

Hi Stephen!
Thanks so much for your review, and I'm so happy to hear that you've had such great experiences with BIBLIO! Please let us know if there are ways we can improve, or just let us know when you're searching for your next great book!
All of my orders on Biblio are professionally taken care of. If anyone complains it might have to to do with the seller. It is not mandatory to belong to ABAA to sell on Biblio. ABAA is a fully vetted antiquarian organization and uses Biblio for the website. The books still come from the dealers who are honest and knowledgeable.
Tip for consumers:
If you are looking for antique books Biblio is the place to go. They are the website for ABAA book org. www.ABAA.org

Exclusively a book selling site.
Many reviewers here don't understand this is a search engine that connects book buyers with thousands of different book sellers, not all of whom are terribly reliable. I've been selling on-line for well over 20 years, and on Biblio for over 10. Compared to the other sites, I have found them to have the best combination of customer service, solid search engine, and more than a modicum of care for the bookseller and the trade, not just the bottom line. I love ABE, too; the only issue I have with them is Bezos owns it (but fortunately has left it alone). BTW, if you lool up ABE's rating here, it's about the same-- 2 stars. But check out the other ratings on the right, like the Better Business Bureau. Biblio is 4.5 and higher, which is a really good score!

Tip for consumers:
Biblio is a search engine connecting booksellers and book buyers. They do not sell products themselves, so such things as shipping costs, times, and refund policies vary with the individual bookseller. But the 5-6 issues I've had over the past 10 years with them have all been handled quickly and easily. Of the search services we work with (ABE, Alibris, and amazon), Biblio is the one I recommend to my customers.

BIBLIO gained around 200 booksellers in our first year, and now currently offers over 100 million used and rare books for sale, listed by more than 7,500 bookstores around the globe.
