Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from eBay staff and previous consumers.
EBay doesn't provide any products they only provide a place for people to sell their items. They don't help you either they just collect the money. So it's like if you hire a stall at the markets to sell your household items. The person you hire the stall off has nothing to do with the items you sell nor would they guarantee the items, they just collect the money for letting you use their stall. People need to understand eBay sux and just rips you off! For example you sell something for $200 you pay $24 in fees and listings. Sell that same item 3 more times and that's $100 in fees
You are not required to change a negative review if you had a negative experience with a seller. Sellers cannot leave negative reviews for buyers, but as buyers we do have the ability to warn other buyers when sellers don't practice good business. If, after a bad experience, the seller makes an effort to fix the problem, I would consider changing my review. If they don't, then they deserve it. I usually wait to leave feedback until I have received the product and can verify that it is as described before I leave feedback. Once left, feedback can be retracted, but it usually requires opening an eBay case to do so.
I wouldn't depend on ebay for anything anymore. Their software is always messed up so I wouldn't trust any of their apps. Their SSL is outdated too which is a big no no. Go try to log in with https and see what I'm talking about. Ebay is on its way out the door.
Nothing is carved in marble (especially ebay). The best way to know something about a product is to ask the seller. If he truly wants to see it... he shouldn't mind a phone call. But I would be wary of a large ticket price online... especially ebay. Don't EVER trust someone you are giving money to in a business deal. You need to remember... especially online... people can hide from you forever after they steal your money. IF IT LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE... IT PROBABLY IS.
Not from my experience. They would not assist with a seller that would not return an item that didn't fit. Absolutely no use to me.
You need to contact the seller, not Ebay. If you get no response from the seller, put in a claim with both Ebay and PayPal. (If you used PayPal). The seller has 8 days to respond.
Ebay has done with making\purchases good. On most items it states Ebay Satisfaction Guarantee.
I bought feature phones there prior to my smart phone. They were used and cheap (flip phones) the flip phones tended to loose the screen picture when the ribbon cable got worn out from opening and closing them. Mine were fine I think I bought three of them. I doubt I would buy a smart phone from them as they are more sophisticated. When I upgraded to a smart phone as ATT dropped email on feature phones I sold two of the three spares I had to someone who did not need email there with no problems. BUT you are talking about small deals not s high priced smart phone...
