on 6/10/16Bubba - you sound like a paid employee of GENi.
I have been doing research for years. I DO NOT include information that cannot be verified.
Yes - Ancestry is barely better than this one, but at least the have a minimal type of security. They also sold Family Tree Maker to a company out of India. If you had some type of credit with FTM such as another download or transfer - its gone, the new owners will not acknowledge it.
GENi is probably the biggest scam I have noticed since Billy Graham.
I find these reviews to be made by people who have no knowledge whatsoever about genealogical research. I was amazed at the information that had been gathered about my mothers ancestry. I had been using Ancestry.com for years, and their prices have gone through the roof. That added to the fact that every search I did led nowhere. I am German, I know my paternal lineage thru German sources. Yet Ancestry insisted my family originated in a town in England! The matched me to relatives, who I know I am not in any related to. They even tried to tell me who my grandmother was, even though I have her birth certificate! Geni on the other hand, showed where they got their information plain and simple. Most of it comes from church records documented by the LDS website Family Search. These people know nothing about true genealogical research!
