There was a property listed for $55. We bid $60. We won the bid. Got email From seller saying they want our best bid. Does that mean we didn't get it?

Hi Cinda,

It is our pleasure to assist you. Being the highest bidder doesn't necessarily mean that you are the winner on Hubzu. Reserve price is one factor that you might want to take a note of. A reserve price is the minimum price the seller is willing to accept for the property in an auction. The reserve price is set by the sellers and is not shown to buyers; however, the property details page shows if the reserve price has been met. If an auction ends without the reserve price being met, no selected bidder is declared. However, the seller reserves the right to accept a lower bid, negotiate with a bidder, propose new terms to the bidders or relist the property.

You may visit our FAQ section for more info at https://www.hubzu.com/about/faq#auctions or call us directly at 855 882 - 1314 for immediate assistance.

Thanks,
