on 12/13/21A lot depends on a. Which day of the week you placed an order. Monday's or Tuesday's are usually a good pick in order to get the ball rolling, order picked, packed and out the door before or with Friday's outgoing orders is a general rule of "how things just work."
b. The proximity of one of their warehouse/storage facilities and where you live.
If you live in NV or CA or AZ for example, it will take less time than if you live in WA, VA, W. VA, or FL. Sounds right to me at present (5/xx/2023) because Omaha Steaks ships from sites in Phoenix, AZ and Reno, NV I believe. So it takes less time to get from point A to point B.
Be advised if you pay extra for expedited, next day shipping for instance, it still takes two or three days to pick and pack the order.
So if you order next day shipping on a Friday, it will still take two or three days to get your order loaded and on a truck, they don't do weekends, and you have to wait until they get back to work on Monday so your Overnight Delivery might not arrive until Wednesday or Thursday of the coming week, again, depending on your geographical location relative to their facility nearest you.
That same overnight delivery ordered on a Monday might get to you by Friday of that same week.
That's basically it. I found out in a more disappointing way how "expedited shipping" can go there.
Under Armour has the same policy. I was told by a rep there (over a decade ago) my order would go out " Next Day."
I received that order on a Tuesday, I believe, and it was FedEx' "Overnight" on a Wednesday or Thursday. Seriously.
I had forgotten all about that experience then found out how "Next Day" works out for Omaha Steaks just recently, however, the rep made things very much right for my time and aggravation over the matter.
Now I know from recent enough experience what to expect from OS next time. Again, (Deanna) the rep who took my order over the phone made my time worth its while.
