on 3/23/17We bought tickets for World Baseball Classic game USA - Dominican Republic on December 28th, 2016. February 28th, 2017 they told us we can not get the tickets. The game was March 11th, 2017. The prices of the seats we originally bought went sky high. No matter what, they didn't give us the tickets. We spend a lot of money to go to Florida, USA.
You often have to wait for the tickets as this is a reseller ticket site therefore Viagogo don't actually purchase the tickets they are simply a middleman that charges a fee and gives guarantee. The actual sellers may only get the tickets themselves 2 weeks before the event and then arrange the collection from their address and forwarded to you via UPS (sometimes tickets are download by you if they are e-tickets). For some reason Viagogo are getting a lot of bad press but for example GETMEIN a Ticketmaster operate in very much the same way by acting as a middleman and ticket reseller. All reseller website advertise tickets mainly above face value which are set by the actual sellers MR/Mrs/Ms XXX.
There maybe fraudulent tickets sold but that is the risk on any of these sites including Stubhub also. I am an honest reseller and used Viagogo and had no issues so far. See my post on here from a few days ago...
Not all tickets are dodgy, I purchased tickets to see coldplay last year from viagogo and got in ok, I've also sold tickets through viagogo and all was good, buyer got in, I got paid. I hope those tickets you purchased will get you in but unfortunately you aint gunna find out until the concert date.
