I did an online chat with representative and she was very helpful but the code she gave me wouldn't work so she told me to call in, I did and the representative on the line was very rude and told me she shouldn't have given me a code for the item I was wanting and they don't do that! I shop a lot with AE but now not anymore! Do better AE!
I found the worst cargo pants and jeans from them in black colour. Both of them leave colour while washing and already get faded after 3 washes. So poor quality.
I just found out, AE is a supporter of LGBQT and promotes them! Not one more dime will be spent at your stores!
I have been an AEO Synchrony card holder since 2017. I have always paid timely. However, recently I made a payment with two checks. Paying balance in full! One check in the envelope was successfully credited to my account. The other check was apparently cashed by someone else. This was completely shocking.Supervisors I visited with, continue to say the envelope could have been damaged before they received it. This company has been completely negligent. Also, there is zero cooperation to assist me in investigating the issue. I need a form from this company stating the check that was endorsed by another person, and not endorsed by them—- BUT, I get zero cooperation! Do not get a credit credit from this company! After this occurred, I sent a final check to close my account and they are saying they did not receive yet another payment.So again I have a cleared check from my back as proof and have to spend too much time on the phone trying to explain how I should have a zero balance! It is not worth having this card!
I went into American Eagle today at the Heart Land location and all I can say is that the help I got from Rose was the BEST EVER! She was very friendly, helpful and she just got me. It is rare today to get personal help,someone who will help you get the outfit that is just right for you. Rose is a keeper!
AE won't issue refunds for orders that are delivered to the wrong address, basically they won't help you at all they will blame the delivery company and you and if you call the delivery company they won't do anything. American eagle and the delivery company ripped me off with $64.93 well earned by my hard working husband shame on you AE.
I consistently buy AE jeans because they fit better than any other brand, and the material feels good. I'm 6'1" 185 lbs, wear the Skinnies. I'm not okay with holes in them, and most of them have holes. That's a problem, I don't buy air, but that's what they sell. Sometimes hole-less can be found. The denim of one of my six pair came undone within the fabric so there are now many furrowed ridges on the thighs, see photo; that happened over a period of a few months so they were not returnable. Another problem is consistency. The skinnies now have much tighter calves than before. It's all a bit frustrating but they have the best fit.
Making me wait for refund on lost or slow processing time on an item! Do not order online! If you have a problem...that's to bad for you! 2 thumbs down!
Always been a fan of the American Eagle Jeans. The sizing has always been accurate for me and they have a variety of options as far as style goes. The shipping is pretty fast and the price is very reasonable in my opinion. Would 100% recommend.
I bout an item expecting the item to cost less than it was, because of the shipping, but I was mistaken. Customer service was able to quickly give me a refund for my purchase. Great shop, 5 stars!
Was trying to make a decent sized purchased but the website crashed on my iPhone and everything in my cart disappeared and I had 20+ items in there. American Eagle has lost my business because of it's $#*!ty website, incredibly frustrating experience. You would think they would invest more in there technology but I guess they don't care about their customers online experience.
I ordered 4 jeans for cyber Monday during a big sale. It supposedly shipped the next day and I waited a week and a half from the time I ordered without the tracking ever updating. I contacted the company asking why it still shows carrier pickup for over a week. They told me I needed to wait 5 business days from the time the tracking updated to contact them about it. I waited a few more days and contacted them again telling them to either refund my money because it still was not shipped or use another shipping carrier because that carrier was not doing anything. They told me they could not choose another shipping carrier so they had to refund me and I had to reorder everything again. The sale was over by this point so everything was more expensive. It would only benefit them for me to reorder everything at a higher price. Will never order here again and I've been ordering here for over 10 years.
So this has happened repeatedly. I ordered jeans worth 3k+ but received old cut pieces of dusty clothes. Then recently ordered products that costed a lot but was given old used clothes that had holes in them. Also the colour was faded and size is Rens too large.
Super cute but leaves lint EVERYWHERE. I wear my backpack and when i take it off it looks like a bear had but it on. My friend got the same sweater in pink and it stained her pants pink. Do better. And the lint is wild.
I'll buy from their competitors from now on. Horrible "customer service" online and by phone. If you buy from them online GOOD LUCK. They are not trustworthy and don't care about you as a customer, they only want your money. We ordered a pair of jeans. Instead we were shipped a hoodie! How can these 2 items be confused by their employees?!
So I called and was told I'd have to print a return label (at my cost, rinter ink and paper wise, plus cost of my time to do it), and repackage the item (at my cost for a mailing envelope and the time costs to do this shopping and packaging), then take the package to the post office (wasting more of my time and the gas costs), then to go back on their website and place another order for the jeans!, same as I already did, but they screwed up (requiring even more of my time and energy, not to mention trusting they'd not screw up the order again). They refused to even offer me any compensation for all of this work on my part, just to correct the mistakes on their part; no discount was offered to me, I had to argue and plead my case and demand a discount to compensate me for all of this hassle which was due to THEIR MISTAKE. I was as polite as could be, and respectful yet assertive. And yet their male employees are obviously encouraged to be misogynistic due to his extremely patronizing attitude in response, including chastising me for my detailed honest experience with their company in this regard. Telling me the email communications on their end would be "terminated if I continued to be 'emotional" which is insulting and unacceptable.
A letter to their CEO, Mr Jay Schottenstein has been sent. The company produces good clothing but its the people who work there that make or destroy the company's brand. I will never again invest my time or money in this company and its products. I'm willing to pay more via buying from a more honorable and responsible retailer such as their competitors.
The return policy and customer service are just hideous. The communication is extremely poor and slow.
In my 33 years this is by far the worst customer service I've ever had to experience. They have wasted over 2 hours of my time now and I am being refused a supervisor so I'm just out of my rewards, out of my jeans, and out of luck. I have never been so frustrated I get a pair of freaking pants for crying out loud. I have spent over $400 here in the last 2 weeks but I will never do business with them again.
I have worn AE jeans, and I turned my husband on the them. We have worn them for years and they last for years. A few years ago they stopped carrying a 16+ in store in jeans. This means we no longer get to use our military discount. So I finally broke down to order online- they canceled my order after 3 weeks passed because my jeans are no longer in stock. They're taking up to 10 business days to refund the almost $200 we spent, and I'm angry. I've been buying the jeans from Target now. They're cheaper and pretty similar.
So i went to the riving mall last week and i was looking around with my daughter, while i was in there the manager was treating the employees terrible, its terrible management, and the fact she was being rude in front of guest is unacceptable, she needs to get fired or demoted asap!, when the manager walked off i went up to the employee and she told me the name and her name was ahriel, if you want respect then you need to earn it, these employees should not be dealing with nonchalant managers, she told me she makes them clean her mess, and that is disgusting there needs to be consequences for these actions, she needs to LEAVE! No general manager should act like this.
I was looking around to buy new jeans then I see that the GeneralManager was not treating her employees with respect and I do not tolerate that type of behavior, and I wouldn't like her to keep working there if she can't even treat her employees with respect and is a very messy person. This should come to some real consequences. Her being a GM is very embarrassing putting really bad examples for others this should be taken to corporate ASAP. By the way her name is Ahriel.
