Today I went in American Eagle in the Richmond, Indiana mall after work to return a lot of items. Some things I had didn't fit and others I just didn't love anymore. Anyway, I went in there and felt so bad for how much I was return but the employees there show me nothing but kindness and respect! They cared for my needs and wants. All so supportive with me and patient! I just want to say a huge thank you to Cassidy, Alexis, and Daly! Thank you for your teams help! You guys are amazing! I appreciate you all for today!
Ordered 2 outfits I was a complete the other sold as set pants weren't in package they refused to resend pants or refund. Don't buy from them hopefully they will be out of business soon they are closing stores left and right.
I have shopped here for years as well as my daughter. I understand that it is a brand more for a younger clientele, however you could still get decent jeans and some basic casual tops. Now, shirts are either crop tops or oversized baggy shirts with hideous prints and terrible quality. You honestly can't order anything on line as it will appear to be full sized but arrive as half a shirt. My daughter can't wear anything from this brand without violating dress code anymore. After so many on line requests to make regular sized shirts it's still an issue. Even in the middle of WINTER. I can't understand charging 40$ for a glorified bra top cheaply made in a sweatshop no doubt. Whoever is designing the clothes needs to be replaced. Also, the dresses are not made for anyone over 5'5. I'm 5'11 and these dresses are more like shirts. Jeans are cheap and do not last like they used to!
This has to be the worst store I have ever experienced for customer service. They do not care about their customers at all and argue even when they are in the wrong. Basically they say sorry its your fault and were not doing anything to help you BYEE. Terrible company.
I use to love AEO! As a curvier but not bbw, girl they had dresses and jeans I could fit in that didn't look like the ugly layne Bryant torrid etx crap! But the past seven years I've noticed the styles the designs are the same if not worse! Prints icky before they were ahead of the time cure accents great knits…. Now it's the same stuff but worse! So bummed they can keep their American boho look but how many times will they sell the same muted ruffled floral mini skirt? Yet seven years ago there were more choices!? Boring
I used to shop here exclusively for my swimsuits, leggings, bras/bralettes, and panties. However, over the past two years, many of the mainstay staples i purchased here are gone or replaced with lower quality options that are the same cost, or more. I just ordered $300 worth and its all getting sent back because its obviously china-made crap that is tacky and cheap to the touch, and will fall apart in the wash. AE, whatever you had going for you with your diverse modeling campaign, is easily pissed away by poor business ethics and anti-consumer business practices. Are you an overpriced brand for teeny-boppers or are you a timeless American brand that serves women of many ages? Right now, you're a teen brand that i regret from purchasing from.
I have ordered a ton from this company for years for my teenagers and within the last couple years for me and my husband. Then they dropped the big people sizes which really sucks, I'm sure I am not the only person that feels this way. Just because I'm a heavier woman doesn't mean I can not be stylish. I guess I'll just go back to Silver jeans, DO BETTER AEO!
Absolutely terrible customer service. If you don't contact them within an HOUR, you are unable to cancel or edit an order. The online chat is worthless. Manager "unavailable" and no means of escalating. Worst response to a problem from any retail store I've ever experienced. I ordered a 34 size jean online then went to the mall and saw two other items and spent 130$. My husband tried on jeans and found out he's a 32 now. So even though I contacted them within 6 hours, as soon as I returned from the mall, they are unable to do anything to help. They've lost a customer and would have been easy to do service recovery to help turn things around. Reps online have no autonomy or empowerment to do anything but repeat "you had to edit within an hour" and stuck to the policy. Meanwhile I was busy spending money in person at AE and they refuse to do anything to help a loyal customer. So completely disappointed
American eagle clothing is amazing! They always fit just right, good quality, and they look so good! However, the website is poor quality and it always freezes.
I had called customer service three times on hold was on the phone for over 25 minutes the first time second time 1 hour got nowhere talking to someone overseas who you cannot understand I kept telling him I want to speak to someone in the USA and asking for supervisor in the US he said they didn't have any nor did he have any where he was located this is having to do with a purchase I made online last year during covid I had tried to contact him last year I got nowhere I got hung up on or no one answered and regarding three pairs of shorts that are too big in the hips and leg. Previous call I made she told me to give them to Goodwill and they would send me out three pairs of shorts men's 12 inch inseam shorts and blue khaki and gray we got disconnected call back I have gotten nowhere this is got to be the worst company ever who hires people overseas when people in our country needs jobs for one thing I can't speak to a US citizen when calling in when you ask for one I've had it they better do something about there so I'm going to post everything I have online. Then he was trying to speak to me and all the sudden it just started making all kinds of funny noises to where you could not understand a word he was saying previously I couldn't understand them as well I called back again asking for US citizen for customer service he told me that was not available. This tells me I'm not ever shopping at American Eagle ever again. I have purchased from American Eagle 4 years no longer also had credits they said they didn't have them any longer. Beware
I have been shopping with American Eagle for awhile now, since 2011. The site and in store associates are very helpful. I also love that when they give out coupons it cab be applied to both American Eagle and Aerie. All their clothing's are true to size and quality are great as well!
I was just in one of your stores today. It is the store located in Meridian Idaho, at The Villages. I had a great cashier who was nothing but nice to me. Her name was Rachel. I had gone in to buy some shorts and a tank top. I had found a pair of shorts. But once I realized that they were too much money sadly I had to put them back. I did find two pairs of jeans and a tank top. The jeans were on a clearance rack. But when they were rung up one of the pairs of jeans was full price. The manager ended up stepping in and saying that there was nothing they could do. That i would have to either pay full price or not get them. This kinda outraged me because they were clearly on a clearance rack. The manager then stepped away. Rachel at this point did everything she could to help me get the discount. I ended up getting them for a lower price then there original price. I would just like to say that the managers behavior probably wasn't the best. I have worked in customer service before and the way the manager acted was not right. I've always been told the customer is always right. The only reason i will go back to this store is because of Rachel.
If you're not based in the US and planning on ordering from AEO, do yourself a favor and order somewhere else… Had two orders with a total of $300, they were "shipped" about a month ago, and the packages still haven't left the customs. Tracking shows that the parcels arrived at a facility in Frankfurt, but tracking goes dead after that. Called the postal office there, they say customs documents for five items are missing, and they will probably return the parcels to the seller. Unacceptable behavior, and the AEO customer service doesn't seem to care, quite sad. The customers don't have any influence on the customs process, as AEO states they pay for duty and tax (at least in Germany), which is great, but I guess their customs department is absolute bulls***…
My merchandise all smelled of a very strong order of smoke. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke... This resulted in an asthma attack during which I seriously considered going to the ER if multiple breathing treatments didn't calm things down. I contacted AE customer service. Their response: "You can return your merchandise but sorry! We won't be returning your shipping costs!" What the actual hell? Never again!
Went to AE in Oxford Valley Mall w/ my husband to purchase him a new pair of jeans.
Came out of the store w/3 new pair of jeans bc of Amber 839.
Amber the sales associate there on Sunday Jan 9.2022 was a great help. She ran back and front w/different sizes colors and style jeans. Also, she made a few suggestions which were great and very helpful.
My husband is very happy and we ended up purchasing 3 new pair of men's jeans

It was a cold rainy day, i waked into american eagle i was in a workers way i tried moving until she shoved me and my friends. She stated "omg i hate kids" i thought to myself as she said this wow how could she say that 1/10 experience
I placed an order on November 22. It's now December 16 and I still don't have it. I've called twice and talked to two people—both of whom were basically incoherent and hard to hear. Once they told me in a Friday that it would be delivered on Monday. When it was not, they blamed LSO, a local shipping co in Dallas, and told me to contact them. They don't answer the phone and their tracking number doesn't work. AE worst customer service EVER! Still don't know if my granddaughter is getting her Xmas present.
I ordered a Christmas gift on 11/29 and chose standard (4-8 day shipping) Today is the 14th and my package still hasn't arrived. I contacted American Eagle and they said they can not do anything until the 22nd and my best option was to re-order the items. I asked to have my shipping cost refunded and they said they could not do that.
After spending a lot of time picking the items from their website they send an email that 3 out of the 4 items I have purchased (after sending me a confirmation email) are out of stock!

I am a long time customer of AE. I had never had any problem with online ordering from them until last week. I placed two orders (about $175) and never received them. I found out that AE started using LASERSHIP for shipping. Lasership is infamy for stealing packages. I contacted lasership but of course, they were not willing to solve the problem. They had a picture of the packages that were dumped on a wet ground by the side of my mailbox in a dark rainy night. When I went to pick them up, there was nothing there. I imagine if you take a picture of delivered package and then steal it, it would be a perfect crime. Besides, what surprised me was response from AE. The customer service said " We will give you refund just this time. We will not refund for lost packages from next time". Don't shop from AE. They will make you pay for the items you never received. I am done. I will never buy from AE again.
Answer: I've always been able to reach them when I callit's never been a problem.
Answer: ALL OF THEM! Not ONE treats their customers this poor, not ONE ever refused a full refund!
