Trading through alibaba provides peace of mind that your transactions are secured and you are trading with professionals. I will always buy from this platform and I recommend it to others. We also buy a lot of things for my work. Everything I have ordered in Australia always arrives on time and buying the products and selecting them has been made so easy through Alibaba. Very happy with the service!
Even when you provide Trade Assurance with clear evidence a supplier has commited fraud, they will still side with the supplier. Please do not trust that Trade Assurance will help you or protect you as a customer in any way. You just pay extra when paying to Alibaba. That's it. And it's impossible to get help from customer service.
Constant follow up even after the items are delivered. Items are complete and in good quality. The sales person knows her product very well.
I put an order in with alibaba and never got it. I sent them many emails and all they do is give me BS. Do not waste your money with them

I import goods from all over the world, and it is nice that there is one place to find manufacturing partners to work with. I do have to say I am getting a little aggravated at some of the sellers on the site which is not Alibaba's fault. Most of the sellers tried to do business off the site and through Whatsapp or Email. Alibaba has all the tools to communicate on there so I am not sure why anyone needs to use an app like Whatsapp. (Especially now that they have the video phoning available. I realize that to a point in some cases there has to be some other kind of contact to get the services and products as being requested. I also understand that they are paying to sell to me on Alibaba and they can save themselves and possibly reflect those savings to me by not using the site. As a buyer, I am willing to pay a little more to get the trade Assurance and having a step by step process for both sides. This almost always results in much smoother and pleasant transactions. Another complaint on sellers, not Alibaba, is nobody is reading inquiries at all they just responded with, "Hi can I help you or do have any questions?" It like well, I don't know I just wrote you a semi book that explains everything I am looking for. Which you seem to have not read at all, and now I have to write it sentence by sentence and sit here for several hours waiting to get across what I have already explained beforehand. I have had really great experiences with Alibaba as a company and appreciate their backing when working with new people that are in different parts of the world. I feel like the platform is so large that no matter what browser I use and how great of a system I am on the site platform crashes and freezes all the time. I have a surface book 16G & 512GB and I still have this problem with it, so I am thinking it isn't just me having problems. If they could get this issue tweaked out I would love that. I deal with it, but there are times it gets really bad.
Tip for consumers:
If you are someone who is new to the importing and exporting world I would advise you to not just jumping into a site that is this intellectual and start with researching first, learn the lingo for sure, shipping, ordering, converting the measurements, MOQ, negotiation skills, and etc. If you have never bought in bulk orders before really make sure you don't get catch up in the fact that you're getting a deal over, knowing without a doubt that you are going to get a return on that investment.
Products used:
I used the shoes I had made for my daughter and two nieces for their birthdays this year. They a three-girl dance team and I thought it would be cute for them to wear them for one of their dance competitions. I sent over some images and explained where I would like to see if they could put them on the shoes, we went back and forth until they looked just like I was hoping.
Alibaba is the centre of Business, I have been buying machines and equipment through alibaba for 8 years and I have not set foot in China, The site is awesome and disputes get resolved within days..
