Alibaba

This was my first time buying a product on Alibaba. They made international trade simple. Great communication, great transparency. Alibaba has earned my trust that they can connect me with international suppliers and deliver products to my specifications.

I just received my first order through Alibaba and am very very satisfied. The items arrived fast and in perfect condition. I have seven other orders outstanding, and if they arrive like the first one I'll be thrilled!

As in life, here you will also find different companies: good and bad. But I was always lucky, very rarely came across bad companies. For example: CHGC International Holdings Limited is the most horrible, irresponsible, deceiver company. I transferred the money. They ignored my order. Closed the order. They didn't return the money. Alibaba is silent. At Aliexpress it is a question (money back) posed better. After that I use Alibaba as a dating platform. I get acquainted, negotiate, transfer money (without Alibaba) and receive the goods.

They help to protect the buyer by informing you to keep call contacts and messages with the site. The purchases are encouraged to use the trade assurance. If there is a problem alibaba will be able to assist.

Horrendous experience. In Chinese this is called (Kěpà de). This is probably a scam. The rep, Arien He, was condescending and unhelpful. After my order didn't arrive on time (3 weeks), he was unable to determine where it was. Nor did he express interest in doing so. In fact, he told me I should have paid for express if I wanted it on time. Unreal. If this was in the U.S. he *ss would be long gone by now.

Also, the Review button on the Alibaba site does not work.

Here are some quotes from my conversation online with him:

"If you need a fast delivery, you should tell me at that time, and the cost must be higher!"

After I asked to speak with a manager:

"If you are seller, you can promise when the goods will arrive, right? We have no reason to refund to you, if you want refund, you need to assume the return freight and tax, please think carefully. And I am the manager, so you want to talk with me?"

I can't think of anyone more in the need of a backhand than this guy.

We have been doing some business with Alibaba for about 18 months. We have picked up that pace in the last 4 months. I have to say we are very pleased with how it has gone.
Alibaba has things well organized. It is easy to find suppliers, place orders, arrange payment and receive orders. It is a pleasure to work with and through Alibaba.

Great place to locate competent off-shore suppliers and manufacturers for your large or small projects. For first-rate service, I highly recommend the gold-level suppliers.

On a side note, I wish the site was a little easier to navigate.

I put a call out for a product and despite being very specific with my needs, I did get a few calls for other similar but entirely different items. Once I found the item I was looking for, it was very simple. I was expecing to find hidden charges, shipping etc but not so. The price quoted was inclusive of everything and abreakdown so I knew. I was also very happy they arrived within weeks not months! I will be back. It seems much better streamlined and user friendly than it used to be, which helped.

In this market. Most similar products are remote complicated & not convenient. This one is simple -one hand operation. I LOVE IT!

The site is very complex and not very usable.

It takes far more effort to locate the items you are looking for than it should or than other similar sites do.

It needs extensive work to simplify it, but also to make the search work correctly and the refine results function properly.

Maybe it is trying to do too much without perfecting the basics?

Short of visiting, this is easily the best way to find Chinese suppliers. In my (limited) experience, the suppliers have always been extremely helpful and supportive and the quality is definitely in line with what you pay for.

There are so many steps and layers, it takes a long time to actually get the order placed.
The supplier was most helpful navigating our order through the new system.
And the products were delivered in good order.

I have had nothing but a good experience with Alibaba since the beginning, well, other than that one time in which a seller sent me the wrong color everything else has been smooth sailing, I would definitely recommend Alibaba to anyone.

I bought a few items now from this platform and had most good experiences with the exception of one rude and dishonest supplier. The Platform is well structures and I particularly like the trade assurance payment option. Safe, reliable and transparent.

So far, so good. I haven't had to return anything, as the products have been as advertised. The translation to English isn't always clear, but the products pretty much speak for themselves. The sheer volume of products that are available is quite incredible, and the prices are all outstanding.

It is a page that is very enjoyable to use and at the same time offers many options. The main benefit is that you can compare different providers in price / quality / service at no cost. In addition, despite the distance it allows you to have personal contact with the provider. Very useful to do business and meet new products in the market.
