The Alibaba website is pretty good. Searching algorithms could be updated to provide more relevant results with less duplicate results. RFQ could be better with suppliers submitting offers that are actually similar to the RFQ and not just some random products they offer within the same category. The mobile application has a bit of issues: messaging always has to log back in to update chat messages (logs in in the background while you look at the chat; creates a very slow conversation update experience).
Otherwise, the basis of alibaba is fine. There are ample suppliers, products and options to choose from.
It would be great if shipping was significantly cheaper and if suppliers would actually send DDP instead of saying they are sending DDP but actually only using DAT/DAP...

The site is very easy to use and the merchants are professional and keen to do business. Communication with the merchants is easy and helpful emails let us know when a further communication or change in the circumstances has occurred. We will certainly be using this site again.

Alibaba as a whole is awesome however they need to make it so people can buy from sellers without being bombarded with messages from sellers they did not contact. The sellers need to put the actual price the items they are selling the item for. The customer should be able to add an item to the cart and pay for it when ready. This will prevent the sellers from ripping buyers off by offering one person a higher price than another. If they would do this I would buy allot more because one thing I hate is being spammed by sellers I did not contact.

Easy to find what im looking for and to contact sellers for more details. I have orders couple of times every time was a good experience. Contact sellers is very important for more details about products or custom orders

If you are interested in getting into international trade, this is the site for you. Most of the suppliers are great to work with, there prices are much better then what you can source anything for in the USA.

Alibaba has a vast number of great suppliers. The messaging system needs a little work, but overall is okay to communicate with suppliers. I have not had to have Alibaba to step in and resolve an issue (yet) so I cannot speak to that feature or how they perform. To me, Alibaba is trusted more than GlobalSources BY FAR!

I was needing to buy a very hard to find part for my Toyota truck and Alibaba had it on their web site. I decided to take a chance and buy it. When the part came in, i I found that they send me a counterfeit part. It looked similar and you could tell that the part number was stamped into the part by someone after it was manufactured. They gave me my money back minus the shipping. I think they even knew they part was counterfeit because they told me I did not have to bother returning it.

Great site if you are planning to start your own business. However, there are many safety issues with buying from alibaba. I wouldn't recommend buying from any seller that is not a Gold seller. To become a Gold seller it costs around $3000USD in China, so only the big boys can afford to get it. Otherwise, any scam artist can open a business account and ask you for money without sending you anything.

Excellent Customer Service. This is a serious company, very professional. They take care of the client having guarantee factories that comply fully with sending the product to the client according to the order and in the promised time.

Was looking to source parts internationally and Alibaba was exactly what I was looking for! The supplier supplied a trade assurance draft that I was able to pay a number of ways and even took care of shipping and handling! Items were delivered extremely fast through DHL Express.
