This is the worst company ive ever had they want to use used parts to fix your vehicle after the other driver it at fault
While continuing to pay to full coverage, a deer related accident to my vehicle has left me without transportation for TWO FULL MONTHS. I reported the claim the same day. Customer Service has been absolute chaos at Allstate. I have been provided numbers to adjusters and to various representatives with each call including a thirty minute hold time and being led to staff who no longer exist (at least at Allstate). Phone calls have been dropped, representatives have neglected to return and answer calls. TWO MONTHS is TOO LONG to be without something so terribly fundamental to my life especially without a customer service team that is helpful and concerned with my wellbeing.
Suffice to say, I DO NOT feel I am in good hands with Allstate.
I was with State Farm for 27 Years and Allstate gave me a better rate for my homeowners so I switched everything. It has been nothing but a horrible experience. My son's truck was stolen and now almost a year later he has no vehicle because the money we got was a joke compared to the "actual" value of his truck. The money they gave us was no where near the market value of his truck. And the App where you pay your payment is horrific and has now caused them to cancel me. I received zero notification other than hidden in the app. No phone call from my local agent. No email. No letter. Nothing. Absolutely nothing stating my insurance is set to cancel... Here's the best of it. I earned a drive wise credit the best I can ascertain for safe driving that they subtracted from my payment due in the App. I paid the balance showing. They said I did not pay the full balance so therefore I was cancelled and the full amount for that month and next month was due? Again. No notification. Between the time I got this notification I added yet another car and was on the phone with them, they sent me the "new" insurance cards, then cancelled me literally 3 days later. Here's the best of it. Now they can rewrite me at a much higher rate... There's the catch. Buyer be very aware here. Just got really burned. Now paying equivalent of a house payment for cars because we dare to have nice cars. Not for long.
May 25,2020 we were hit by an EF1 Tornado and to date we have NOT been paid one penny for our damages. ALLSTATE plays the Confused, Lost, Slow play, Let me take this to my manager Game until they can wear you out. DO Not think you are different and that ALLSTATE will treat you better or even fairly. If you are an ALLSTATE Customer, Get away from them ASAP, Signed; Sleeping on my Couch since the Tornado PS: I had to select 1 star or I could not Post. Should be a Negative Star selection option!

My first home claim was just denied as soon as they got lt. Not before they had some fun playing with my misfortune and me going thru hardtimes.
It is sad to find out that they did not care about the problem with the house just my premium when time is due because they left me alone when I needed them the most.
THE GOOD HANDS WERE HIDDEN JUST SHOW UP WHEN IS TIME TO COLLECT THE PREMIUMS!

Allstate has proven to be an unfair company. They always deal me a bad hand in terms of insurance rates": lying and horrendously raising their rate EVERY 6 months. You are NOT in good hands! When I filed a claim for my home policy, they denied the rectification of my hail damaged roof and gutter. The new insurance company denied insuring my roof because of hail damage. They asked me to file a claim to Allstate to fix the roof which Allstate rejected. I have had four contractors prove that the roof does indeed suffer from hail damage. The adjuster is annoyingly stubborn and will not budge despite the FOUR contractors' opinions! The adjuster says its just wear and tear. I have photos and can blatantly see the hail damage. The adjuster wants me to spend $1500 to get an independent appraisal to go through the settlement which is outrageous. What do I need insurance for if they ignore the fact that there is hail damage? The adjuster only gave me $850 which is less than my deductible for more than $11,000 worth of damage. It has been over 2 MONTHS of constant phone calls and arguing over my rightful claim. The key point of this all is that Allstate is not a fair company. I will never go back to them, and I will fight with them for my claim!
This company very very very bad they jeating the pepole they gave me high price for my home insurance also they charged me for 4 years double price for my 3 cars we have account with them under my son name since 2016 and they took from me 2400 doller per year for the 3 car but farm state they gave me 1200 per year! Really they are very bad people. I changed my insurance company and make it with farm state instead of this ugly company Allstate. My home have water damage come from a busted pipe Allstate never covered it they actually sent a adjuster Allstate is a scam there's only out to get your money they will not pay your damages for homeowners insurance or car insurance my wife is never and I mean never pick allState what you're looking at is my crawl space and it was filled with water and after time it started making my foundation wave I called Allstate and see if I was covered they told me oh no you're not covered and it was covered because it was a busted pipe
I was found not at fault by the police after someone pulled out in front of me trying to cut across traffic. Allstate told me they were assigning blame, as I have gigantism and "the pain from a car accident shouldn't have been any worse than the pain I'm (allegedly) already in. " Yes, they told me I was at fault because I have a genetic disability. My "adjuster" also told me nearly 2 years after they had paid me off for my car, that they would be revisiting the amount they paid out, that Allstate felt the payout amount was too much, considering the depreciation of the vehicle during that time. They also found me "responsible" because I didn't price check 911, or the ambulance, and accused me of doctor shopping by going to the ONLY ER in the county, accused me of running up my bills by going to an expensive luxury doctor - who was my longterm regular doctor and worked at a Medicare clinic. Yes, the local Medicare clinic is apparently a high-priced luxury facility one goes to pad their bill according to Allstate.
Allstate is utterly terrible, they will say anything, lie, bully, do whatever they can to save money. This company is beyond disgusting, and I wish cancer and aids on everyone who works there. Yeah, you know you're in "Good Hands" when multiple reviewers are wishing cancer on people. Allstate is an utterly disgusting and immoral company. I wish the worst for anyone involved.
I left my long-term insurance company for Allstate. Big mistake! They're great at making sure you pay your bill however, when it comes to filing a homeowners claim it is a nightmare. They sent out a third-party adjuster because they don't have adjusters in Washington state. They didn't like what the third-party adjuster that they sent out had to say because he indicated my roof had wind damage in multiple areas. It took over a month while my roof was leaking for them to finally agree to cover my roof which had lifted shingles and shingles that have been blown off from wind storms. My contractor noticed that there were more OSB boards that had damage from the wind which would end up rotting away in time.
We sent multiple pictures of these additional boards with damage. Allstate wanted him to put a new roof over bad OSB boards. We then sent Allstate another invoice including these boards and they are refusing to pay. This to me is unacceptable! Why would you want to put a new roof on bad boards that are going to be rotting, causing mold, and other issues? Stay away from Allstate insurance they're only interested in finding ways around not to pay any type of claim.

A very traditional insurance including service and attitude. I was involuntarily made customer of Allstate after a motorist missed my vehicle in the rearview mirror in a parking lot. Facing Allstates policy of "no third party involvement" precluded my own insurance from assisting and I had to face Allstate myself. Repair of my vehicle was easily assigned to a body shop but obtaining a rental car and getting reimbursed (which is unexpected) was intentionally made difficult. Several phone calls including the rental car location directly speaking to Allstate were needed to convince representatives to take responsibility for the claim. The "Rental Vehicle Guidelines" I received were useless when intending to rent a car for the rate that Allstate asserts is coordinated with rental car businesses. The effort to deceive customers with hopes to save money is VERY DISSAPOINTING to say the least.
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I received from Allstate following an auto accident involving one of their customers. The entire process has been an exercise in frustration, and I feel compelled to share my experience.
After the accident, I promptly reported the incident to Allstate, expecting a timely and efficient claims process. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but smooth. Here are the key issues I encountered:
Delayed Handling of Police Report: The Allstate representative assigned to my case initially claimed they needed 10 days to wait for the police report. On the 11th day, with no progress, I had to take the initiative, personally pay for the report, and send it to them.
Lack of Proactive Communication: Allstate failed to reach out to their own customer promptly to gather a statement, leaving me to intervene and facilitate the communication.
Unnecessary Burden on the Victim: I took charge of organizing Zoom calls, estimates, and communications with the repair shop. The burden placed on me, the victim, was excessive.
Poor Responsiveness: Attempts to contact my Allstate representative for rental car arrangements went unanswered for days. I was forced to escalate the matter to the corporate office just to get a response.
Heightened Stress and Anxiety: The overall lack of efficiency and responsiveness has caused an incredible amount of stress and anxiety. I expected a smooth claims process, but unfortunately, Allstate has made this situation far more distressing than it needed to be.
This experience has been nothing short of exhausting, and the burden placed on me as the claimant has been unfair. I had hoped for a more supportive and efficient process from a reputed insurance company like Allstate. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, and I am left deeply dissatisfied with the service I have received.
DO NOT USE Allstate Insurance... worst company... had hail damage this summer... to date I have talked to 39 people each one telling me a different story and wanting different quotes... to begin they low ball me on damages and when they sent someone out to inspect damage... he was actually Allstate own contractor telling me they would handle all... but when I said I would get my own repair contractors everything went down hill from there... at the same time they sent out their own contractor I did have a Facetime with an actual adjuster but he was worthless telling me first I had to get quotes for damage and then it would be up to them to approve... At the same time as my claim, a friend next door also had hail damage to his son's truck... Allstate low balled him, writing a check for $3500... when he took it in for repairs... the actual cost to repair was $7900... when Allstate when to auto shop... they said sorry they missed somethings... right, just trying to low ball thinking that they would just accept the $3500 check and not get repairs... BTW in Texas... Allstate is rated one of the 10 worst insurance companies in the state...
Called to have someone come take a look at my roof after a tornado. Allstate said it needed small repairs. I had three roofing companies state it needed replaced. Allstate wanted to give 600.00 for repairs. I denied the claim and stated I would take care of it on my own. I didn't want my policy rates to increase. The gentlemen stated he would close the claim. My neighbor had State Farm by the way and got a new roof. I called to get a quote from State Farm and was told they could not quote me for 3 years due to a recent claim showing I was paid out 600.00. I then called Allstate to find out why this was showing on my record and they said because a call was made. I advised that I was not paid 600.00. They advised me to file a dispute with Lexus Nexus. This is ridiculous! Allstate does not care about their customers and their customer service teams are not pleasant to deal with. I will be switching as soon as I get this sorted out. Very disappointed with Allstate. They should take pride in their slogan and mean what they say.
I've been with Allstate for about 6 months... my policy started at about $136.00... This policy went up about $29 more for an alleged trailer I owned... A few days ago I tried to remove the "trailer" from the policy At least 3 months because I'm doing a conversion... That day I found out that my RV appeared in the policy as a trailer! This vehicle is a huge 1999 Van Hool Bus that weighs 25 tons... which for Allstate was a simple trailer pulled by a car. After much insistence, he was removed from the policy under the promise of returning the 5 months I paid as credit. A few days later... not seeing the money in the bank... I contact Allstate again where I find out that there was no refund... that it was for Allstate itself... that the money was applied as a discount of a new policy on 11/27/2022. That after the refund it was $189.00!... This means that these gentlemen from AllState charge themselves and take the change. When I claimed this abuse... they told me that they had raised me $300 for something... plus $ for something else... Anyway... a policy that started at $136.00 is now worth more than $300. If we add the supposed $189...plus the $175... I would be paying $364 for my policy... for a single car... owner of my house and car… no debit… not mortgages)... without accidents or tickets for more than 3 years (actually. I have never had a ticket accident in over 25 years of driving). I am a 74-year-old senior... These gentlemen are thieves and abusers licensed by the State. I suspend my police for 11/27/2022… I need resolving this problem with urgency
I requested an insurance quote from Allstate. I was quoted a rate of $697 for 6 months for insurance coverage for 1 vehicle. The quote was high but I agreed and allowed Allstate to cover my vehicle. That day I paid an initial fee of $188, and was told I would pay $149 for the next 5 months. The newly insured vehicle stayed parked for the entire month because I was out of town for work. I received a call from Allstate 3 weeks after starting insurance coverage. The rep told me I owed an additional $210. This was on top of the $188 I had already paid. I followed up with Allstate a few days later to understand why I was being charged extremely more than I was quoted, and had agreed to pay, for a vehicle that I had not even driven. The rep told me she would send the issue to the right department, and it would be resolved. The issue was never resolved.
I called Allstate again to make sure the issue was resolved. I spoke to 3 reps, and 1 of the reps yelled at me, and was extremely rude to me.
Do not trust Allstate with your insurance coverage. They were very unethical, and had no integrity in their business, as they provided me a quoted rate, and tried to charge me way more than quoted. They provided horrible customer service.
Run from this company! Someone hit my car over 4 months ago, their insurance accepted responsibility and Allstate MISTAKINGLY put the fault into my name! I have not had a rental for over a month while it was being fixed and now they are saying that I have to pay 500$ to get my car out WHEN I WAS NOT THE ONE WHO HIT MY CAR. Absolutely ridiculous! I have called 10 times and none of them get to the bottom of the issue but keep trying to get me to call back another day. WORST company EVER. A joke of a company! I had nothing to even do with this accident!
Plain and simple they pulled the bait and switch.Raised rates 2nd month and took my money 20 days after I canceled policy.They need their nuts hacked off with a plastic fork
Worse costumer service ever, easy to get insurance by them but bad to help costumers. I get transferred multiple times and after the wait they just hang up on me.
This review is for the CLAIMS department only. This has been the WORST service I've ever experienced anywhere - in person or over the phone! I was given a claims adjuster - Kala Lawrence and the communication has been terrible. The first conversation between us was good and professional. She explained the process and how she would keep me updated along the way. All lies!
I've called and left numerous voicemails, but she does not return my calls. I called her from another number, and she picked up! Then placed me on hold and hung up the phone, very unprofessional. Now I'm trying to get my reimbursement check and they have shorted me and per usual, she's not answering! Whenever I call, I speak with other claim adjusters who can't help me because I'm assigned to Kala but yet she responds to them via chat (while I am on the phone with them - but won't pick up my calls)... how crazy?!? I've reached out to her manager Angela and left 3 voicemails and I've yet received a call from her. If you have Allstate and have to deal with the claims department, I hope you experience is much better than mine!
I hate to leave this review, but my hopes are someone in leadership sees this message and reaches out to me with a solution so I can be done with this claim - June 2022 to the end of November 2022 is too long to be dragging this claim out.
