I added my driver to my policy by phone. And then we went to the messenger service to try to switch the title and the tags over to her. Allstate had me call them twice and both times I was told they would send something by email to the messenger service. An hour later nothing came and we couldn't get anything done that we needed to get done! I proceeded to chat with one Allstate agent that wasn't very nice even after I told them what had happened and how long I had to wait for them! Instead the agent on the chat finally told me there's nothing I can do for 24 to 48 hours? Why wasn't I told that the first two times I called instead of waiting an hour for an email. Because both of them agents assured me that there was something they could send that could help me. But nope. Thanks a lot for nothing.
I was rear-ended about a month ago
The driver was insured with Allstate.
After 1 month that my car has not been fixed because they say we have to talk to the driver
Now they tell me the other driver said that you hit his car with the back of your vehicle and that is not true
The driver who hit me from the back agreed and gave me all his information
Now they say go to your own insurance and get the damage fixed
This is not right

I have insurance with state farm. On may 23 I got a letter from them saying my policy was canceled. I then brought insurance from allstate. 600 for 6 months for just liability. I paid allstate in may June and July over 300 dollars. I found out recently that my policy wasn't cancelled by statefarm after all. I then cancelled my policy with Allstate. They say they will send me a refund check of 179 instead of paying all my money back since in fact thier policy was in fact void since I was covered by statefarm
The absolute worst for home owners. Picture of my roof after a hail storm. This is "COSMETIC" damage to Allstate. Looks like my roof was attached by hammers. Agent Dan Brown did nothing to help me.
I was involved in an accident and instructed by the officer to submit a form to Allstate for proof of insurance. The manager Cierra refused to comply stating it was my responsibility. It states on the FR10 to be completed by the insurance company.
I had a total loss accident on June 4 2022 and the adjustor Gary Lockard lied to me every step of the process. I cannot find a vehicle close to me the same value and the ones I did find are 8-10k more.
Gary told me I had a limited disability policy. My local agent told me that was not true. He withheld my funds for weeks saying that he sent a check but it was the wrong amount. Again another lie. The moment I signed the Power of attorney, my funds were released. My local agent and my lawyer said there is no way to fight for the value of my car once the POA was signed. I asked Gary three times if the signing of the POA would effect my ability to prove my car was worth more. I sell cars and I looked everywhere. The value is higher and he clearly lied to entice me to sign the POA which left me powerless. Most importantly he lied about my policy! Weeks of runaround and no way to actually get a similar vehicle, not a good experience at all.

Switching bank accounts and they tried to bill AgAIN. Didn't get it so they attempted to collect sent them copies of deck sheet for new company several times
Now they turned it over to collections-called both collections and Allstate
They still refuse to Mark that it was cancelled and wasn't due
Stuck paying the collection agency! Pissed
Never never never use this company!
Their recent commercial pushes the on board data retrieval sighting YOU ARE INDEPENDENT OF OTHER.less insurable drivers...SUGGESTING YOUR RATE SHOULD BE LOWER...LIE.ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES RATE BY ZIP CODE...PERIOD...BUSY ZIP CODE HIGHER RATES.HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY INDIVIDUAL.screw them all...BLATANT USA LIE...GROSS COUNTRY.
Our family has been with Allstate for decades, with multiple properties insured through them. However, they lost all of our business when we filed one single claim -- for water damage inside a wall -- and they found a way to weasel out of giving us any help toward repairs. I knew I was in trouble when we had the contractor in to look at the problem and he said, "This will definitely be covered by homeowners insurance -- unless you have Allstate, they will fight to avoid paying you anything." He was right. The agent even implied that we were negligent homeowners for not discovering the problem -- which was hidden behind a wall -- sooner. Not only that, but an Allstate rep discussed our policy at length, revealing many details of our contract, with someone WITHOUT KNOWING WHO IT WAS OR HOW THEY WERE RELATED TO US. Suffice it to say, your personal information is NOT safe with Allstate.

READ, READ, READ every single word on your HOMEOWNERS policy. When I first began with Allstate at least 30 years ago, I took out the HOMEOWNERS DELUXE which is what I had with the opposition. Now, 30 years later I have a claim for 6 feet of water in my basement when we were away. A severe snowstorm hit followed by 3 days of torrential rains. The power went out on my total electric home.
Now, my walls are caving in, everything was a total loss, including appliances and hot water heater. (The water pressure outside pushed a window in and obviously, the brand new sump pump shut off) ALLSTATE INSURANCE informed me we no longer have coverage for water damage unless pipes freeze and burst.
BE AWARE PEOPLE... YOU MOST LIKELY DO NOT HAVE WHAT YOU THINK YOU DO WITH THESE PEOPLE.
Now, I can't switch insurance companies because I filed a claim they refused to pay.
I will never even ask for a price quote from Allstate. The commercials are just for vulgar, nasty and nothing that makes me feel safe watching them. Nothing I want to be part of.
Went to Allstate office in Decatur and set up home/auto policies and auto debit from checking account. Had this account for a few years and they were constantly sending changes to policy etc, which I never asked for. Didn't pay much attention until I had a debit from my checking for 260ish$.
I called Decatur office and they had no idea who I was and said they don't manage my account some office I had never heard of in Fort worth does. Woman was rude and acted as if I was stupid for not knowing this, despite the fact I had set up eveything at that office.
Cancelled my policy with other office - well before the bill was due and they stopped the auto debit from my checking. Then they sent me a bill. I thought it was autogenerated, so I didn't pay it. They sent it to collections. Absolute thieves. All of them.

Company is happy to add drivers to a policy but will not remove when owner of vehicle requests without a death certificste of the ADD on driver. They do not communicate. Aftwr death of my mom took 3 months to cancel her policy with zero communication about what is really needed. Death cert proof of poa executor etc. In case of add on no longer driving, owner. Could not remove driver without a md leetter stating md revoked the lisc of the insured. I own the policy. I added her as a driver. I should be able to remove the add on. NO paid for 2 YEARS for her even though she was not driving. FRAUD. Impossible to get a hold of an agent and get answers. Sent to corporate and no answers or resolution given.

I had a terrible experience with this car insurance company. They changed my rate without my knowledge or consent, claiming it was due to inflation and higher rates of accidents in the area I live in.
I found it highly unprofessional and unfair that they would change my rates without informing me first. Not only that, but the increase in the premium was unjustified and not reflective of my driving history or habits.
When I called their customer service to inquire about the rate hike, I was met with rude and unhelpful representatives who seemed to have no interest in resolving my concerns. It was clear that their priority was to collect as much money from me as possible, rather than providing good customer service.
Overall, I would not recommend this car insurance company to anyone. Their shady business practices and lack of transparency make them a risk to anyone who wants to ensure their car is properly insured. Save yourself the trouble and look for another insurance provider who values their customers and their trust.
I bought life insurance for my dad with Allstate 20 yr ago. Never missed a payment. Now we receive notice from them they cancel his policy. I hate them I hope they all have cancer and die!
We went to them and put are card on file to do auto renew. But they didn't do it after saying it was good. Then it didn't work and they canceled are Pollicy on the 7th and mailed it to us on the 21st so they $#*!ed us. And now Insurance anywhere else is more expensive because of them.
This is the worst company ive ever had they want to use used parts to fix your vehicle after the other driver it at fault
We had an amazing experience with ALLSTATE... We needed new insurance in a different state and were pleased beyond words with the Thomas Graham Insurance Co in Denton Tx... maybe their agent was the problem on the other review
Allstate hired a moving company to move me out of my condo into a storage unit. The moving company they hired stole and damaged many of my items including my two queen beds and a side table. Jewelry, a vacuum cleaner, and some electronics were missing. They also temporarily stole my bike and when we inquired about it they returned it to me. The moving company did not want to take any responsibility for their faults. Thus, I went to Allstate and meticulously filed a claim with a police report, several pictures, and the monetary value of all items damaged/missing. After I spent a lot of time communicating with my adjuster over the phone, he denied my claim. I feel very strongly that Allstate should take responsibility since I pay them lots of money every year for home owners as well as car insurance. They are difficult to work with and very greedy. Their tendency is not to want to cover anything. I am very frustrated with the situation as no one wants to take responsibility for what comes out to be about $10-$12,000 in missing and damaged items. Would not recommend Allstate as a top company to work with.
I own an Automotive shop, been in the business for over 35 years. People, do yourself a favor and get a different insurance company. ANY DIFFERENT INSURANCE COMPANY. Could tell horror story after horror story, but there's not enough room here. One star rating is misleading, should have been a lot less than one.
