85% of our neighborhood has had their roofs replaced due to storm damage the past few years. We have not because we are one of the only houses to use Allstate as their insurance company. They are truly a horrible company to deal with and I will write as many negative review I possibly can. The roof could blow off entirely and they would find an excuse not to replace it. Our agent is also a hot mess. Never returns phone calls or emails. Grayslake IL, go with a company that values your business like USAA or State Farm.
I purchased a refurbished desktop with an Allstate extended warranty. Its had hard drive failure from day one but we could use it by restarting 10 times a day. Since it was refurbished I thought I needed to use the Allstate protection plan. They have a 30 day window before coverage begins. Now Newegg wont take it back since it's been over 30 days and Allstate won't cover it saying it was a "preexisting Condition". Newegg has referred me to a "seller" twice and the seller claims it was not thier sale. Now I have a $300 brick with a $50 extended ""nothing" warranty. How can a product failure be a preexisting condition?
Pathetic service. 4+ hours of phone calls, chats, emails and no one accepts responsibility. For a small business technophile with 5 desktops and innumerable "gadgets" I will NEVER use this platform again.
Please do not choose allstate! I was with them for years and they dropped me with NO warning. No calls no letters no nothing. Claimed too many accidents when most all were not my fault (deer, weather conditions). I was told by multiple reps that theres nothing they can do. Extremely cold and rude people. They do not care about their clients! Meanwhile my family suffers. I have home insurance with them as well which I will be cancelling. Horrible customer service. I've worked in customer service for 15 years, I know when I see bad service. If you care about your family, never choose allstate.

They will find ways and excuses not to cover your claim. I had a roofer tell me i had hail damage that came by. Guess what, allstate claims there was no damage whatsoever. Find another insurer. Don't throw your money away to them. They suck money from their customers and dont pay them out when you need them.
They really need to update reviews to allow for 0 stars. Anyway, I was hit by a driver insured by Allstate and Amanda Standige won't do her job. She is the adjuster or claims representative—whatever they are called—on my bodily injury claim, and she just denied it. Now, I have a crash report with a witness listed who saw the accident happen and can confirm it was not my fault. It took Amanda Standige almost a week to even get in touch with her insured driver. Meanwhile, my insurance representative had obtained my statement and Amanda Standige's insured driver's statement before the week was up. My insurance denied liability on my behalf based on the statements and crash report. I finally got a hold of Amanda on Friday, 6 days after the crash, and she very rudely told me they were denying my claim due to a failure to yield on my part. How do I yield at a green light? Either way, I don't believe Amanda did her due diligence; she didn't contact the witness or bother to read the crash report where the reporting officer states that he believes that failure to yield while turning left was possibly the reason for the crash. If you are in an accident with someone who has Allstate, get yourself a lawyer as soon as possible.
I have been dealing with Allstate for over a month. The property damages their insured caused exceed $70k. Allstate was kind enough to send me a check for $4000 for full payment. I am under no obligation to deal with an insurance company that is being completely unreasonable. This means that the person that was paying all those premiums to stay out of court, will now be in court. He will most likely end up paying out of pocket and have to go after Allstate for breach of contract. If this sounds like fun to you, go ahead and buy insurance from Allstate. If not, run the other way.
I've had fraud issues with a woman using my address. Today, an All-State offer came with this woman's name. I called the agent, Chris Okeleye, attempting to explain the situation, but he refused to listen to me and started screaming at me almost immediately. He claimed her name with my address showed up on a list he bought. That would only happen if there's some fraud this woman is committing Obviously, he's either too stupid to understand my request or he's in on the scam. Either way, I would stay away from an idiot or con artist.
Worst insurance company ever. They do not pay for anything, even if you are injured! They have a cap on how much they are willing to pay out even when going through lawyers. In addition the agent I spoke to (Kandie Betters-Watson) was so rude when speaking with her. She was giving me attitude for asking questions on clarification about the policy of the driver who hit me. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on another insurance company as you will strongly regret them if you they are ever needed. When Allstate stand are you in good hand…. Absolutely not!
The agent didn't want a picture. He didn't want names or phone numbers, however, he did take the time to insinuate that everyone he didn't talk to was lying including a Lieutenant colonel who is now deployed. At that point I was done with them. I washed my hands of their mess and paid out of pocket
My wife and I were rear ended by an Allstate insured driver. We were at a stop light and he was looking down (probably phone) and he hit us. We have filed a claim with Allstate, taken all the pictures they have asked for but now Allstate can't get ahold of their customer so they can verify he was at fault. I gave Allstate the police report number but that report won't be ready for another 10 business days. We have had no help with a rental at this point nor has the claim process moved any further along so we are stuck with paying for a rental and have a busted car. The next step is contact an attorney and let him figures this whole thing out.
The last thing you're in with All State is "Good Hands". They run you around the Mulberry bush, to try to get out of a settlement. No one is on the same page, and their management team is very rude, and argumentive. You could not pay me, to have them as an insurance carrier... what a nightmare.
If you'd like to waste your money and pay an insurance, somebody that never pays you back for some thing that you can't control then this is the company to waste your money on. I wish there was an option for no stars. It should be five negative stars.
Although I've been an Allstate customer for many years and never made a claim, they denied a hail claim I submitted. They readily admitted I had damage to the gutters, downspouts and screens, but insisted no damage to the shingles. They also outsource their work, so talking with an agent was extremely difficult. In this case she (F Stevens) had terrible English and was constantly lying, arguing and trying to dismiss my claim. They did in fact deny the claim, and I cannot stress strongly enough to anyone looking for insurance not to buy Allstate you are not in good hands and they will not help you.
I signed up for home owners for my new house, they sent an inspector out who said my roof (which is 4 years old) has granular damage to it (note: it doesn't) and there was a "pile of debris in the backyard" which is literally wood leftover that I am using to make a fence. They said the roof needs to be fixed and the wood needs to go away before they can reinstate it. They cancelled my policy. Literally such garbage
I hI have had a policy with them for over a year. I used to pay $200 a month, but they overcharged me after renewal without notice. Now I have to pay over $300 without my authorization. Do not buy a policy from this company as they are scammers.
Thanks Allstate for being the absolute worst. Not only is my husband's birthday ruined due to the news of you not paying for a claim YOUR insured did, now i am out of a van, which will in turn ruin my job and make it incredibly difficult to put food on the table for my kid. When calling to file a claim the representative was quick to say they couldn't help. Despite video evidence at the place the incident occurred, allstate has now let us know they are denying the claim and will only look into it if somehow the store will release the footage to us personally. (We all know how that goes), kind of a odd slogan for allstate to ask us if we're in good hands if they don't seem to care if we actually are in good hands. I worked for allstate and actually loved it, but to see the insured side of things is real eye opening. Glad that I have stuck by USAA as I know I'm covered. Thanks allstate for giving me that reassurance to not using you in the future nor referring others to you as well.

Sold our home in Mi. And told allstate repeatedly do not renew home or car insurance and they acknowledge it and gave me the phone number of an agent in Ky. Never in the office and when I did reach her her phone dropped me after about a minute-tried again same result and she never initiated a call. To top it off they DID renew home and auto insurance to the tune of $2,500 out of my checking against my direct orders-they have had it for 7 days now and ignored my calls(always she will call you back). So today I left a message that I am writing reviews on Sitejabber and also calling state of Mi. Tomorrow to the DIFS which is the state insurance agency. What if my checking would have been lower and checks could have bounced courtesy of their false charges. My personal mailbox was always filled with nonsense to further irritate me. One year of the bozo insurance agency. Never again!
I am writing this review after a hail storm we called Allstate and told them they said to take pictures of the vehicle so they wouldn't even send an adjuster out. So we had to do the clowns work for them and they still would not honor the estimate we gave them. So my Mom had to spend 2 hrs on the phone with people who probably didn't get out of preschool. They told her they would use refurbished parts for anything that needed to be replaced. That is what kind of jokers we are dealing with at Allstate. These people are worse than the Corona Virus so stay away from these clowns they are pathetic.
This is by far the worst insurance company to ever do business with. I have never been late with a payment, no accidents or tickets in 12 years. I was ONE day late posting my payment and they cancelled my policy. They are thieves no other name describes this company. I have since gone with nationwide they have given me more coverage and discounts that Allstate never did. If I would have known they were this low my business would have never gone there. I hope my review will help others. My advice run from this company!

August 8th 2023. He hit me in the middle of a round about. You are to yield coming into a round about and All-State only wants to pay 70 percent. I'm sure they have very few pictures if any at all. Have not talked to me or looked at my car at all. Has not even tried to call. How sad. We both slowed down and I thought he was going right into the lane next to me then he hit the gas and crash.
Answer: Geico, Progressive, State Farm. They're all the same and rates are based on YOUR personal driving history.
Answer: Because my husband chose them. Now he's gone and I think, so is Allstate.
Answer: You will be on Hold for a while... then you'll get someone who may or may not give you correct information. Be prepared to call back MANY times.
