I enjoy this shopping experience but the past few weeks seems less items available. No steaks that were advertised in your flyer. Was told by staff they never came in, ditto on the advertised asparagus. Second week at still no Amazon brand Italian sausage. The coupons are helpful, especially with the inflation, but can't be used at other locations which might have the missing items. I ordered a pizza but when I went to pick it up, I was told they dropped it and had to throw it out. I realize this location is relatively new so I hope my comments can be of use in improving things. The staff is very courteous.
Amazon fresh started off great in my area, and has seriously deteriorated over the last year. I won't be using them again. 3 of my last 5 orders went from delayed to cancelled with no explanation, and even though they charge your card immediately upon placing the order, they don't refund for 3-5 business days even after they fail to deliver! When they do deliver, bread is either: squashed beyond use, about to expire or sprouts mold within a day or 2. Absolutely atrocious. They were convenient during the pandemic, but I'll be taking my business back to the stores.

Recently moved to the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Ha already successfully placed and received orders from Fresh Direct and Whole Foods, but wanted to give this service a try.
Well, it didn't go as expected. About 40 minutes after the 11-1 delivery window had passed I get a message that the order was cancelled due to issues on their end. No other explanation.
Going back to Fresh Direct and shopping at local stores.

Tonight we received an Amazon Fresh food order in which 5 of the 14 items were missing. We also received two items that we didn't order - so someone else will suffer too.
There is no way to communicate with the delivery person/driver or customer service. This service is NOT worth the lower delivery fee compared to Whole Foods/Amazon/Safeway shopping.
Unimpressed and wish I had seen such poor reviews prior to ordering.
For the last year+ I've experienced rotten produce that is also poorly packed. Amazon stopped using frozen food bags or even the cheaper frozen sleeves and as a result my items arrive completely thawed and at times unsafe to eat. I've brought this to their attention many times to no avail.

The first time I ever used them was about 9 months ago. The food that came was just left at my front doorstep all over the place. Bread was smashed, bananas nearly rotten, and containers crushed. Given the weather, I decided to give them another try. This time my order was cancelled 6 hours before delivery. When cancelled, they didn't even give an explanation as to why it was cancelled. Amazon just needs to close up this portion of their shop.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it. You will never find a delivery time slot and they limit them to over the next 3 days.

I've ordered numerous times and the order is either totally wrong and/or completely thawed and, of course, missing items or totally wrong. It's really ridiculous. You never know what will be in the sacks but you can count on it not being what you paid for. I'm done Amazon fresh!
I have ordered the same 12 pack of drinks and every single time I get ONE can out of the pack and no matter how much I contact customer support they say sorry refund 3-5 days and then tell me to reorder it. Just fire the person stealing the whole other 11 cans. I called delivery driver and heard women coaching them what to say and he told me not to worry about it. I did not pay 13 dollars for ONE can of soda. This has happened 4 times in last 2 DAYS! Next time I'm going to be sitting at the door and demand the box out of their trunk. And I know the seller does send out the box because I've been ordering these for a while and never had a problem till now!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t pay for prime it is not worth it, you don’t get the two day guarantee, anymore(now it’s “2 day arrival” after it ships which is about normal shipping for other carriers) and you’re treated like trash. They rather throw money at you than fix the problem and actually deliver the product. So you spend a week for something to never show up or something be missing or wrong.

None because the product keeps getting damaged , “lost”, parts missing (or multiple things missing, or left in drive way where other AMAZON drivers run it over. I get about 20% of what I actually order.
While I placed an order months before on fresh I was delivered in a very timely manner. This order was placed 9-11 hours before my specified delivery time frame and they never delivered. I even stayed up late waiting and contacted the driver. This may be due to employment shortages, but I was very disappointed since the items were needed for breakfast for my kids before school. Not a pleasant customer experience this time. Rescheduled today so hopefully it is on time, otherwise I will not be using this service any longer.
Amazon fresh is a super convenient way to get groceries delivered but that convenience comes at a cost to food safety. It's fine for dry items but bread doesn't always fare so well. However the delivery model is broken. The drivers are taking a large number of households at once and so if you are unlucky to be near the end of the delivery line, your food is no longer frozen. Skip any frozen or temperature sensitive foods.
Luckily amazon is good about refunds but comes at a huge cost of food waste.
If Amazon want's to get a tip it should be an opt in process, come to find out it's set to give $5.00 by default! I didn't even see it when I checked out there was nothing to bring my attention to it! I might even have left a Tip if I was asked not just assumed to be interested!
Let's face it there stuff isn't the inexpensive anyways. Companies that auto opt me into doing thinks are never getting my business again!
Don't use this service if you are counting on them showing up! Delivery truck said they'd be at my house next stop 5 mi away and then out of the blue cancelled my order! Spoke to CS and they knew nothing and couldn't do anything but offer me $5 how infuriating!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t waste your time it might not show

They have become lame. A Prime member, ordered yesterday not because of pandemic but surgery and can't drive. Delivery between 11-1 today, at 1:20 order cancelled. On phone with customer service forever, no answers or solutions just a $10 credit. They suck. Too many other deliveries available and always late on my packages also.
I love the convenience of ordering online and having groceries delivered. I mean, with a full time job and a family to get home to- who wants to go to the store after work or waste my weekend grocery shopping. I also love that they use paper and not plastic bags. The thing is, it's a total crap shoot on what they send. I have gotten deliveries that literally only included 1/2 of what I ordered plus a couple bags of someone else's food. My kids were happy because that included some serious junk food that I would not order myself (I ate some too), but this is also sort of annoying. Sometimes they will get as much as 75% right but that's as good as I've seen with them. However, Amazon customer service, so far, has been helpful in refunding missing items. So, after a hiatus, I am (foolishly?) giving it another try today.
They won't even deliver. That's their whole gimmick and they've gotten too lazy for their own gimmick. Spare me. Get yourself together, Amazon. Jewel is going to eat you alive here in Chicago due to your laziness.
Tip for consumers:
It's only available to someone who lives across the street from the store.

Amazon Fresh used to be good and I was happy. Now it sucks and I'm unhappy. Charge for delivery if below a certain amount…never did that before. Always been a Prime member, which is supposed to allow for free grocery delivery. Says delivery is available for a certain time and then changes meaning you're not guaranteed to get everything. Now everything requires you to select a substitution item or not to substitute, very frustrating. To me that is poor inventory management. Once someone orders something it should show in the system as being held for an order. There really is no excuse for an item to not be available. Been ordering from Amazon Fresh for awhile now but sadly all good things seem to come to an end these days. Sigh!
Either I can't get a delivery date within a reasonable time, or I get overripe, smashed produce, and meat that expires within a day or two. It feels like they are pushing the products that everybody passes up, and then pawn it off to us. I'm afraid to order too far in advance because then you get groceries that seem like they have been sitting and "waiting" to be delivered. I want fresh salad mix, not something that's stored for three days before they even deliver. Often, my frozen stuff is no longer frozen and my milk is not even cold. I feel like I'm gambling with food poisoning every time. Customer service rarely assists you; they pass the call off and then you get stuck on hold for so long, you just give up! Super frustrating!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t expect your groceries to still be cold, and check your meat dates when you receive them. I opened up a several different meats, only to discover (just 3 days after delivery) that they were already expired!

Ordered $54 dollars of groceries. Only $34 was delivered by Amazon fresh and the rest by Amazon prime. Not knowing my entire order hadn't been filled yet, I tipped the Amazon fresh driver $10 cash. Later, Amazon charged my credit card another $5. In essence the person got a %50 tip. Amazons resolution was to give me an invisible $10 promotional credit that only appears when items meet some impossible criteria. Needless to say, they ripped me off.

I had placed order on 23/Oct/2022, same day delivery, neither order got delivered, status shows delivered. It's a prepaid service costing around 12.5k rs.
I raised compliant via customer care - chat [ 24/Oct/2022] and also call back - today[ 26/Oct/2022] - I spent 3 hrs in call with them they are putting me on hold and disconnecting the call. Very pathetic customer service. I will never go to amazon fresh.
I love the idea of putting items in my backpack, scanning my palm, and leaving the store without going through a traditional check out. But...if you have a question about anything such as items listed on the web but not in the store, expect a rude and impatient response. Not sure where Amazon is getting these store associates but they could use customer experience training. Does anyone at Amazon understand the lifetime value of a customer - I'm not so sure!
If you are looking for a better experience, go to Wegman or Trader Joe's where customers are not treated like an annoyance.
Tip for consumers:
Amazon needs to up their game. The checkout is really cool but the quality and value of just average.

Two store associates at the Chevy Chase, MD store were so rude I just left and went to Wegmans.
When they forget or give you the wrong item you really need the most and you've literally spent your last dollar on your grocery run for the week. Their solution... a 7 business day wait back to your account or an instant amazon credit I can't use unless you are going to offer me free delivery on one bottle of iced coffee that lasts me all week and then tell the driver yourself why they are not getting tipped. Not sure why I am tipping if my order is wrong and now I have to go back out anyhow to get the item you forgot. But I can't now, my money is sitting in a useless amazon credit I can't use until I need another $35 worth of groceries.
This was it for me. No more.
Tip for consumers:
don't use it. I've used it consistently since covid started and they maybe have a 50% rate. fruit is often near expiration as are dairy products. I have received other people's groceries, wrong items, spoiled items.
It doesn't sound like a big deal unless you are on a budget and depending on every item to be correct.
an amazon credit for one item is useless when I need $40 more to make ordering and tipping worth it. 7 day wait for $6 doesn't help me either.
stick to getting your own.

I recently decided to try Amazon fresh grocery delivery. My first two orders were perfect. I thought this is wonderful so I made a larger third order. Unfortunately the third time was not the charm! There were several things wrong with my order but the absolute worst was a bag of rotting sweet potatoes. They stunk and leaked on several items and two paper bags. Fortunately when I called Amazon customer service they were extremely helpful. Back to Walmart pick up for me…
They just simply cancelled my order, not an apology or anything. Just an email three hours after the delivery slot saying your order is cancelled. No apology nothing. Unreliable and useless. I have been prime customer for over 15
years and not a message or anything. They are going downhill really fast.

It's now the fourth time in a row, no joke, that they deliver my ice cream completely melted. I've complained and escalated it every time and nothing... have tried different times and different days and same results
I've been using Amazon Fresh since the start of the pandemic. Super easy to order and delivery has been great. Well except the one time the delivery person trapped me in my apartment by stacking all the heavy bags and water against my door! I was not happy.:-(
The one thing I think Amazon MUST do is text me when my order has been delivered. How hard is that? Instead I get an email. Who is checking their email every minute? Amazon does send a delivery Notification to my phone but it's ONE hour after delivery. Meanwhile all my perishables have been sitting outside the whole time. I still recommend. Just let me know delivery has occurred when it occurs.
