I ordered a Tissot Le Locle from Ashford and it arrived in extremely shady packaging. There is no paperwork in the box except for a blank warranty card. The booklet and paperwork that comes with Tissot watches is missing. Also, the box it arrived in is completely different from the one in Ashford's video. The 2-year warranty card has not been filled out by the seller, except for a stamp printed in Arabic (the seller is based in New Jersey, United States). Tissot will not service watches without the card and therefore there is no warranty. I will not be purchasing from here again.

I both a watch that was not working. Sent it back still waiting on exchange nothing. It's been four weeks nothing no watch no money. They just took my money. Wow I thought I was living in United States of America. I guess that's how it is these days.

On July 3,2015, I ordered online a Seiko watch that had a very appealing discount. After my purchase order was submitted I ws told the expected delivery date would be July 10. I was amazed when the watch arrived on the 8th. Very prompt service. The watch arrived in excellent condition and I'm extremely satisfied. For any future purchases of watches Ashford will get my first look. I have already recommended them to a friend.

The experience with Ashford's customer service was exceptional. They really tried to help and provide information. Unfortunately, I bought a watch which was wrongly described by their customer service (information on the size of the watch band was completely wrong). I am still waiting for a custom made watch band which will cost approx. 320 USD. This is the negative part of the positive message omg the service quality of Ashford.

Two-day delivery and excellent service. Only quibble is that free shipping not available because I am in Hawaii. For those of us not in the lower 48, don't know why free shipping doesn't extend to us if actual shipping costs are the same.

I bought watch as a present for my wife. It arrived with some scratches. I send it back for exchange. Today is 5th day as they received the watch back. Nobody call me back and it is no chance to talk with any representative.
I left the true feedback on the ashford.com. Of course I do not see it, only a positive feedback are available.
Be careful!

I had handled an automatic Glycine at a big box retailer and considered purchasing it. This quartz version seems every bit as good, quality wise, as the more expensive automatic. Very pleased with the watch. The leather strap could be better, but I have a strap on order. The screw down crown takes some getting used to if you have not used them before; I had not. I wish this came in 40mm as well as it is a tad large.

I bought a Tissot watch from Ashford as a gift. It worked for approximately 24 hours after the package was opened. I contacted customer support and they insisted it needed a new battery and instructed me to take it to a jeweler.

Jeweler attempted to replace the battery and determined that the existing battery was fully charged and something else is wrong internally. The secondhand ticks back and forth, but does not go round and round.

Contacted Ashford customer service a second time. They stated that I must contact the manufacturer to make a warranty claim. I asked them to email me the contact information on how to make a claim. I never received anything.

The packaging and the watch itself were very impressive. Too bad the watch only displays the correct time twice a year. When I saw the price online, I thought it was too good to be true. Such is life, you get what you pay for. Buyer beware, they sell defective watches and don't stand behind what they sell.

Tip for consumers:
Be absolutely certain your watch works upon arrival. They shipped me a junk watch and I'm stuck with it because I waited till Christmas to open it. Their online customer service is non-existent. Their phone-based customer service, while didn't leave me on hold very long, turned out to be not very helpful either.

I would appreciate in future an upfront notification of the duty and taxes that I'm liable for in Australia before I have committed to a purchase. I understand that I am responsible for these additional charges but I also need to budget in advance for all my purchases. This is now the third watch I have purchased from Ashford in less than four years.

Just read the reviews on this site I must admit that I was having second thoughts about buying from Ashford.
Then I did some research into the company And read all the fine print on the website. Most of the complainers on this site probably didn't read the warranty conditions.
I ordered a Raymond Weil watch on Sunday, and it is now on my wrist on Thursday here in Sydney Australia.
Great price ( 1/3 the cost of buying it here)
Very happy with the experience.

I purchased an automatic Glycine watch from Ashford. When I received the watch, I set the time and date wound it and set it aside. It stopped working within the first hour. I wound it again and it worked for several hours until it stopped. Thinking the reserve power was not enough to keep it wound, I put the watch on and it seemed to work for about half a day until it stopped.

I reached out to customer service and explained the problem. Their response is - do a video. I explained that the video would not show the problem because it would have to video the watch for several hours.

Later, their response was - "nevermind, you wore the watch, so you'll have to send it to Glycine for warranty service. That's our policy!" Are you kidding me? You sent me a non-working watch, so I just have to deal with it.

Do not buy from Ashford.

Placed order for 2 sunglasses, one came defective. Returned it. Placed another order to get a good one. A defective item came again. Customer service didn't want to provide a prepaid return label. Conclusion: It their stock consists of aftermarket/used/refurbished merchandise.

Ashford is a major online store for watches and have purchased many items from them. Only issue that seems consistent with them is their quartz watches (I have purchased 10+ from them) need new batteries within a year. Not sure if they just have old stock or if they store them in a hot warehouse that kills the coin cells. That said, I replace my own batteries and the cells are cheap.

To all that have posted their experiences with Ashford on this site, thank you. I was about to purchase two Movado watches for myself and my wife and on a whim decided to check the reputation of the company.

Based on the overwhelming negative customer experiences reported, I have opted to forego the purchase and take my business elsewhere. I would much prefer to spend the extra dollars for peace of mind and superior customer service than chase the deal of the century only to wind up with buyer remorse.

Again, thanks to you all for saving me from certain doom.

Battery died about a year after purchasing the watch. I emailed inquiring about my options and whether a replacement batter was covered under the warranty. I received a reply immediately as well as several follow up emails. Ash ford was willing to reimburse me for the battery expense.

I purchased a Movado watch from Ashford.com It came within a few days of ordering. After I received it, I noticed on their site that they reduced the price by another $60. I called them and told them. Within a few days, I had $60 returned to my paypal account. Great people to do business with. I've also realized from online reviews that its mostly people that have had problems that will go online and do a review. Ones with good experiences simply don't spend the time to do it enough.

I bought a Movado watch 3 months ago, and after 2 months of use, the watch was rusted and has corrosion at the back. I emailed them back and forth, they (even the supervisor) offered NOTHING but require me to contact the producer directly to have it handled. They said the watch will be rusted under some conditions (chemicals and sweat). It is a luxury watch and has Stainless steel, but they are just irresponsible and walk away. I feel frustrated and dont want this to happen to any other customer. So I will not give up claiming and just give a review here, don't ever buy anything from this website.
