Bought a sweater and a cardigan, frankly the price was very cheap and the pictures looked good. The actual items received were good, but they don't last. The sweater lost its shape after one wash, and the cardigan seems to be polyester, which easily gets static electricity.
Bought a pair of Dr Marten shoes which are supposed to be one of the best for leather and longevity. When the shoes arrived they were farrrrr from new! They were battered! They had clearly been worn for several weeks and returned or worn by an ASOS member of staff that decided to exchange their battered pair for my new pair upon dispatch! I have attached photos as the shoes' battered state on delivery have to be seen to be believed! AVOID this company, they no longer care about their customers.
These online stores like Asos are great, until something goes wrong. They are refusing to accept returns, a mere 14 days after delivery. Consumer law specifically states store policies do not supersede consumer rights and "It's illegal for businesses to rely on store policies or terms and conditions which deny these rights.". So now I have to go through the laborious process of raising an ACCC complaint. Thanks for nothing Asos, that will be the last time I shop with you (a former $500+ a year customer).

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE. I wish I had read some of these reviews before making my own purchase. If you ship to Canada, they will charge you a hefty fee when receiving the package. My order was $78 and was charged $20 fees, even though it was 'free shipping'. All I was told was that it was out of their control. The worse thing is that the website clearly states that they cover custom/duty fees if your order is under $150.
https://www.asos.com/us/customer-care/payment-promos-gift-voucher/why-are-you-offering-15-discount-to-canadian-customers/
The link above states that you would have to pay duties if your order is above $150 (which mine was not), and that you'd have to pay an admin fee of $10.75 with Canada Post which I ended up having to pay $20.93. Seriously. Shady tactics. Definitely do not recommend.
Worst customer service- wouldn't give me a full refund as they've snuck in a new policy to catch customers out and refused to reach a compromise. Been shopping there for 10 years- I will never order from them again. Absolutely disgusting
A country of 90% English people and a website of 99% African or dark skinned models. How is this a reflection of society? For someone with light hair and blue eyes it's not easy to see what's going to look good on me when no models are representing me or the majority of Brits.

Total junk! Absolute trash quality! The loop ring doesn't connect and is always moving around! A little hard without help or assistance! I ended up getting pissed off and ripped the cheap chain apart! Don't give a s*** either!
No point to pay special delivery, you will get just "we are so sorry, we apologise ", your parcel will never arrive next day!
Plus they deliver your staff to random addresses, giving you a picture of a closed door and that's it, you end up paying for some clothes which other people enjoys. Absolutely disgusted about their services!
"Will I have to pay customs?
If you're ordering to *insert country's name*, you WON'T see any customs charges on your parcel. In case of receiving any unexpected duty or customs charges, please contact your local customs office directly."
Let me translate for you (after finding out what it really meant 5 orders later; some of which didn't incur any additional charges, but still): "I can 100% assure you this definitely WON'T happen. In case it does, though...too bad. Not our fault"
That's on their website by the way.
Needless to say this is a very $#*!ty tactic that is intentionally vague in order to mislead customers into thinking they WON'T get charged for buying abroad when in reality they probably will.
This resulted in me having to pay over 50% more of what I would have otherwise.
Oh, and complaining won't get you anywhere, they will just shrug it off like it's nothing. F disgusting.
I hate shopping and picking up clothes or shoes, so for about six months I've been ordering things only from this online store, it has everything in one place, it's easy to find the right size, and this way of shopping saves me a lot of time.
Misleading check-out process. No mention for 38.5% duties surcharge, yet the site is set in local currency and knows where I'm ordering from. Complicated and expensive returns policy and customer service unwilling to help.
Tip for consumers:
heavy duty charges

Order item on a Thursday evening, due for delivery on the Saturday. Unfortunately this dod not happen... but what made this worse was no updates from asos with regards late delivery.
Chatting to them via live chat was an nightmare, over 20 mins and their advisors were unhelpful in every way.
Service is incredibly terrible, will not advise anyone! I was waiting express delivery for 2 month and received wrong item. But the most awful thing - now I don't have an option to return because of delivery delay
Like many others I've paid for next day (evening) delivery, order never arrived, customer service could not be bothered. I just hope I'll get my money back. Friendly advice, don't bother with Asos or at least use paypal which may help get your money back if there's an issue.
The service is always excellent! The website has full detailed description and photo of items, usually purchases comes on time. Several times my packages were lost, but Asos sent a new ones very fast. Great store for online shopping.
Advice: think twice before ordering anything on Asos. My girlfriend ordered two dresses and paid for them. They never arrived but that's ok, mistakes can be made. The problem is that Asos has zero customer service and only responds with procedural mails so we're getting no help at all and literally got robbed by Asos.
1 month still no refund. They are a joke respond with same email every time. They sent me wrong size and were sold out in my size. It's an absolute joke will not buy anything from them again. Stick to iconic
Worst experience ever. They ignore emails, DMs, and close chats without any care or concern for the customer at all. NO customer service phone number. Completely unhelpful in every possible way. I have never experienced anything like it.
Dont waste your money and regret it! Terrible customer service! The worst experience from Asos ever! I did not believe people's reviews, apparently everyone was right. They will ignore ur follow up emails. Parcel was supposed to be delivered yesterday, it was rescheduled till next month!
I have had numerous incidents in a short amount of time, orders returned and never acknowledged and orders received with wrong items. Customer service is useless, they just sending automated messages. Not ordering from ASOS again!
ASOS is great... if you receive your orders. That's a big IF. I ordered from them the first time last year and my package never arrived- customer service sent copy-paste messages telling me to wait longer when I contacted them. Finally, after 2 months of not receiving anything, I hounded them for a refund. I FINALLY got my refund a month after that. I should have just left well enough alone but I had a friend who swears by the site and insisted it was just a one-off bad experience. Not so. I placed another small order early this year. Same thing. Terrible customers service, didn't even get what I paid for. What a load of junk. I don't want to fault their employees- it's not their fault, ASOS just needs to re-vamp their whole delivery process! Take a note from Amazon, guys! They are great at delivering things (on time, too!)
Absolutely love love ASOS! Been an avid customer past 3 years. Take it from someone who constantly shops at their website. 1st and foremost shipping takes minimal time. For Plus size gals the options are unlimited and really trendy clothes. Return is breezy and I get refund every time. The only complaint, they are not a physical store else I would have camped there.
Never ever buy from ASOS. It might be a half scam website as you can not contact them via email, phone or live chat. It's simply missing and you won't get a refund. Overall, very cheap quality so male sure you spend minimum in case your money is lost you dont feel bad.
Ordered some stuff (glad i didn't spend too much) in April, it is still on the way and it's been more than a month now. Tried to contact customer service twice and for the second time they told me my order was sent back to the warehouse without any reason. They also said to wait another 21 days (I'm pretty sure it will be more than that) to get a refund. Kind of disappointed... Also the lady who was helping last time was very blunt and advised me to close the chat window while I was still trying to ask questions. I usually never write bad reviews because oh well it's an e shop and stuff happens, but i mean... at least try to be helpful in resolving issues since you're such a big company
ASOS was my favourite place to buy all my clothes from and I've spent thousands on it over the years. However, more recently, their returns and customer service has been shocking! I haven't returned a parcel in the last year without there being a problem. They are always trying to say you haven't sent everything back that you have and when you get in touch, they make you out as if you're a liar! I've ended up just paying the full lot on several occasions because I can't be bothered with the hassle and the long waits on the live chats.
I've now deleted the app completely as I just don't trust or respect them as a company anymore!
I ordered a pair of shoes. Asos sent a pair two sizes too small. Could not exchange, nor would they offer free next day delivery for a replacement pair of shoes. Their solution was to return shoes, get a refund, and order a new pair. Returns take 14 days, so could be a while before the money is refunded. Would not trust ASOS again
First of all if there's any issues with your order the only way to contact is by email which they don't respond to you. After paying for shipping on their site i still have to pay another fee of $80 to get my package in Canada. I've shop from many other sites in other countries and never experience this before. I will not purchase from them again nor will I recommend. Scam!
