AT&T Inc. is an American multinational telecommunications corporation, headquartered at Whitacre Tower in downtown Dallas, Texas. This company has to provide the information about the companies. I've had At&t for many years. I'm still on their unlimited data plan. I moved and it's now been almost 4 months and still no service.
I switched from T-Mobile to AT&T recently. Terrible experience from the beginning! Customer service is non-existent! Wait time to speak to a rep was greater than an hour multiple times! Additionally, my bill contained duplicate charges.
Right now I have no phone service and neither does my son--we use these phones for business. Eight days ago we initiated the process of transferring our two phone lines from ATT to Verizon--I had just gotten married and we wanted to merge and only have one bill. We have followed every step that the dozen or so customer service(?) agents have given us to do with both services and no one can make it happen. The steps never work to complete the process. We are both educated, tech-savvy folks and it just is not getting done. It has reached a crisis now--I have no phone for business or personal use, and just got cut off by another ATT person. We are calm and collected when dealing with the service agents--they just do not seem to know what to do properly. I paid off the phones, paid my bill, entered the codes they gave us. No One will make it right.
Tip for consumers:
As customers we need to demand live service agents who can actually solve problems

Phone service not working
I ended up calling a manager to let him know that, I had an appointment at 10am in-store and there were no employees working when I got there. I waited several minutes and customers where piling up outside. Over the phone customer service was somehow EVEN WORSE. How can that be? If you reach a representative get ready to be transfered somewhere you don't wanna go. Try asking for a manager, you'll get even more disappointment and even a few excuses. Where is your accountability to the customer at&crap?
Tip for consumers:
At&t is a machine of evil engineered to keep us all enslaved. Pray that God's will will be done. Pray for forgiveness. Harmonize your frequency to the earth. You are blessed.

No one at the store will help you unless it is to set up a new plan or get a new phone. A whole day and 4 hours of the next day and I still have no resolution and mostly because when you hit 1 for English you get someone that struggles to understand and speak English. Billing is almost always adding stuff and it is another 2 hours trying to get it fixed. I don't even know how they are still operating! I would not give them one star! Trust me, GO Verizon! Definitely switching back even If I have to pay extra for a cell booster at my home.

Every review posted is absolutely believable. I've personally been with this third world company way to long. (Over 10 years) It's time to change up for a new provider. A better provider. I'm thinking a pigeon with telegraph strapped to ankle is by far a better provider than AT&T. Maybe a massage in a bottle would provide quicker service. When you have people in corporate offices that play hide-and-seek with idiocy, AT&T is the result.
( GOOD BYE AT&T)
P.S. there's no option for a minus star, so I'm actually forced to give a one star which is in itself to much.
I have had e mail problems for over a year with Att. Can't access my e mails on my phone or computer. I have called them over 20 times already and they cannot help me. I have to continually change passwords and go through the account process about 3 times a day. Sometimes it works for not even a whole day. I have 3 e mail accounts, two being business. If you leave a message when you have a claim... they will never call you back. They give you wrong tech support numbers. Etc. I am very frustrated and waste so much of my time with them. Don't use them. Useless employees. They don't really care.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Att

Negative 10 star. Not even one. Had a 12 yr old iPad that got lost. Tried to cancel the account. I don't remember a 4 digit pin from 10 yrs ago. Called the 1800 #, said they can't help, said go to the store. Went to the store, said they could not help WITHOUT the iPad to get the 4 digit pin. This started in January 2023. I have been to 5 physical stores, all to be told they cannot help me. That I must call the 1800# because only the tech dept can help me reset a pin. Hours later, Tech Dept says go to store. I won AMEX dispute for fraudulent billing by AT&T and they now send me past due statements. I have written cancellation sent certified mail, and have wasted more than 5 hours of my time standing in stores, including the corporate location where I was instructed to go. It is still not fixed. AT&T you get a negative -10 rating from me. Worst experience EVER, being told "I can't help you" while you continue to send me bills.
Att has the worst customer service. Your talking to a computer rather than a person that can understand and comprehend. They suspend and deactivate your account with less than the minimum payment due. The bill always comes in 2 weeks rather than monthly And they give you no grace period. If there was a better option for Wi-Fi or cell service I would jump immediately.
Subscribing AT&T was a big mistake. There are significant hidden charges. Every month I had to pay about 30-60% more than it was in my contract. AT&T used every opportunity to make few extra dollars. You will pay for purchases you never made. You will pay for extra data even even though you do not use phone internet at all. You will have a choice of entering the next billing cycle after the end of contract or pay significant charges for each phone even if you cancel contract on the day it ends. After ending service you may find yourself waiting many days before you can unlock your phones because your bills have to be cleared even though you already paid everything in full. You will find yourself calling AT&T several times to solve a simple issue and later find that it was not solved despite promises. Customer service is aggressively dishonest.
I was a customer of AT&T for over 20 years until they kept jacking up the price. Then I finally cancelled my cell phone service. When they bought out DirecTV, they turned an amazing service to absolute crap. They eventually raised my rates so much that I cancelled that too.
I overpaid them $40 and they refused to send MY money back to me. Instead they sent me a visa gift card which has all these ridiculous fees attached if you don't use the card every single month. The only issue is that most places charge a higher amount onto a card when making a purchase (such as a gas station running $100 test charge before running the actual charge). As a result, half my purchases would come up as declined and I was never able to use the card and it eventually expired. Because of the fees, I lost all the money on the card.
This scam artist company knew this would happen and is why they refuse to send people a refund and a gift card instead.

Really unhappy with AT&T; they charge way too much for their services and offer very little. I bought a house in a remote area, and the salesman assured me my phone would work at my new house. The day I moved in, no bars at all. Customer service is dismal with many transfers and little resolutions of problems. Going to cancel as soon as I can and never go back.

All in the title, while I'm at home my service is so abysmal that my phone might as well be a fridge. Cannot call, text, or receive either while I'm inside my house. This includes times I'm hooked up to our wifi. Worst service on the planet, and I'm leaving for literally anything else as soon as $#*!ing possible.
My phone service constantly has interuptions and if it stops working you cant even sign into the site for support because of the jack $#*! 2factor autentication. How am i supposed to enter a texted code if my number isnt getting service! And the att customer support ai is less than worthless. 0-5

Before giving my credit card info I asked to speak to a manager. He advised me he'd send the router next day delivery as a self install cause I just moved and I need the internet to work. The next day they say I'm scheduled for install 5 days later. This all happened on a recorded line. So I put my notice of intention to file a lawsuit.

AT&T charged me for an entire billing cycle because I cancelled my account one day after the start of a new billing cycle. They offered to reverse the charge but maintained that the account would be outstanding (and of course go to collections). Cancel your account on time if you choose to go with a less expensive provider. The monopoly on wireless cell services is too bad.
Listen AT&T - I didn't want to leave you as a mobile customer, but after moving from Montana to Kentucky, we received a local offer from a carrier that was too good to pass up. When I called to discuss my last bill, I was finally connected to Denise. She is amazing. She listened to me - like, really listened. Previous customer service experiences were met with apathy when I requested a prorated last bill since I only had coverage for 10-days. Denise listened to me, and worked hard for me - even though I was no longer an AT&T customer. It's because of experiences like this, that I will not write AT&T off. If you have good advocates taking care of your customers, even former customers, we'll stay or come back. Smart hiring with her. Great job, Denise.

If you run into a problem, hang up and call back. There are great customer service representatives with this company.

My phone has a message that "Your phone's not registered on a network, so you can only make emergency calls." My cell phone is supposed to automatically update but it does not. I have ran into this problem before but could manually update the phone then I could use it again. That is not working this time. I called customer service and waited on hold for a long time. After finally being connected to a person, I explained the problem and waited while she was working on the problem (I thought). After a few minutes of silence I was cut off. I still cannot use my phone and apparently no one is interested in helping with the problem.
AT&T wireless, U-verse, home phone, and internet do not value their customers. Their customer service is dated. You have to spend too much time with the automated operator, on the phone telling people your name, and being transferred to someone different after you have explained what you are calling for. It is all too time-consuming. There are better rates available. They market new clients with better options than their current customers and raise current customer rates. From an over 20 year customer. Try something different.
Tip for consumers:
Shop around before choosing AT&T. Rates creep up and the customer service is terrible when you call in.

My internet went out, had to make 3 calls before I got someone to talk to. This took 3 hours. The guy that answered my call was so hard to understand. He took all these tests and concluded my modem was bad. Two days later I get a new one, hooked it up, and no internet.
Another 3 hours on the phone listening to their music and promotions. Finally get a person and spend another 2 hours with his tests. Decides I need a technician to fix the problem. Have to wait 4 days for him to arrive.
Total frustration with this company. Will be dropping them soon.
Twice we signed up for promotions with AT&T. Twice there were hidden fees that made the promotion not worth while. Twice I felt slimed. The first time was five years ago. They offered us a free iPad. I grilled them on the phone about hidden costs. They insisted there were none. There was a monthly service fee that we had no intention of affording. By the time we found out about it, they refused to let us out of it. More recently, I signed up for internet service on a promotion with two weeks to cancel. I cancelled, and they billed me anyway. They honor they put in writing. What the sales person says out loud is not tracked, and according to them, never happened.

AT&T store, website, and call center, no service what's happening on the other two services. If you're getting a refund, don't get excited after your first call to the call center. Waite for at least 3-6 months.
I switched my phone service from Verizon to Att. What a nightmare! Customer service is horrific, service even worse. I switched back after 3 days and they charged me $168 for 3 days of service, THEN turned around and billed me another 40.93. This place is crooked beyond anything you can imagine. Go anywhere but here it's the WORST. Plus good luck trying to get to a person after they sucker you in. RUN

AT&T are scammers. Everytime I've sent in a phone after an upgrade they try to tell me they never received the phone. My bill is supposed to sit at a cool $177.38 and they up charge every time with random charges that just make no sense. My bill is right now sitting at almost a grand for absolutely no reason. Do NOT use AT&T.
Three items were "shipped" to my home nothing ever arrived. Three appointments were made for a service tech to come install my internet at my new house and no one showed up nor did they call. I spent over four accumulative hours on the phone trying to get help and they just kept making service appointments that no one showed up to. The internet quality is great if you can actually get your service installed. I hate to discontinue my service at AT&T but they are clearly not interested in resolving customer issues.

One month ago I bought 2 new prepaid plans for one year. Each cost $400. Unfortunately, my husband passed away. AT&T refused to refund any money. That is immoral. As a female my income is cut more than in half and I know $400 is nothing to a huge corporation, but a lot to me. A rating of 1 because I can't give lower.
I have never encountered such an awful company in every facet of its business. I am now with Verizon. AT&T tried to charge us for multiple months a li e that was not ours. Absolutely uncooperative and no initiative to address customer issues. I would NEVER use AT&T for any services.
