I've had At&t for many years. I'm still on their unlimited data plan. I moved and it's now been almost 4 months and still no service.
I switched from T-Mobile to AT&T recently. Terrible experience from the beginning! Customer service is non-existent! Wait time to speak to a rep was greater than an hour multiple times! Additionally, my bill contained duplicate charges.
AT&T is always unreliable. Constantly going offline, especially lately, and repair crews never get the issue resolved on time. This is especially difficult for an online student who has deadlines he cannot miss. Not to mention how unhelpful their customer service is, representatives often don't even understand what is being said, today the one I had on the phone couldn't even understand the didgets of my phone number to look up my account. Then she left me on the phone for over an hour saying nothing once we were done instead of hanging up. I assume this was to avoid me answering an automated customer survey. It just made me more irritated.

AT&T said they were having a promotion and if I got a new phone from them and traded in my old one it would only cost me $78 bucks. It was a lie. Now I'm trying to return the new phone for a refund which they are trying to not give me. BEWARE!

ATT are deleting my negative reviews on their forum, they simply do not know how to work with the clients. If you want to save your time, money and nerves- DO NOT deal with ATT and don't buy anything from them.
I just spent 1 hour of my time on the chat (because their phone services don't work on the weekends) and manager with supervisor we're transferring me to each other pretending they don't have access to the history of the chat and made me repeat my question 20 times. The wait time of replying to the same question was 3-6 minutes!
Customer service don't want to help clients, they just want to be paid for their hours they work. But as a client I'm not getting paid for hanging on the line with unqualified people.
Phone customer service- same thing. I NEVER had good experience with this company (I have been their client for 3 years), now I switched everything to the other company, but I still have one service with ATT, and even in this case they make my life so complicated, it's terrible. Never ever deal with them.

Genuinely awful customer service, I moved into a new apartment and was waiting on a technician to come install my WiFi for over a week. Then day finally rolls around for my appointment at 8:00 am and he's an hour late so I call and I'm told to keep waiting. 3 more hours pass of me sitting in my home waiting and I call back again and am told he missed the appointment and I have to wait another week for someone else to come help. Absolutely ridiculous it's been a nightmare dealing with this company. So I canceled my appointment with at&t and called Verizon and the same day I was able to get my wife up and running.
The agent was pleasant enough, but was unable to get my iPhone to receive a signal. He transferred me to an apple specialist who was of less help. They have mad the process of upgrading phone ridiculous!
I am tired of being gouged by at&t. I have been with them about four months and every single month I have had to fight with them over a screwed up bill, that I have had to go into store to get resolved, every single month.
I am going back to Verizon that I was with for 20 years.

At&t comes out to bury underground lines and cuts line. When complain they tell you have to wait days to fix. Have business at home and needed service. They cannot reimburse for money loss for there mistakes.
The sales man told me I was going to pay a certain amount of money and that was a lie. They said I was going to pay $250 monthly but first bill came to $500 they lie to you to get your money and don't care how hard you work for it! Don't fall for their lies! I am now with cricket and pay $125 for my services for 5 lines!

I am writing this review on behalf of my 82 year old mother and it pains me to have to do so. After years of being a loyal AT&T customer, my mother's Wi-Fi router stopped working. She is low income and doesn't speak English, and the router is the only way she can communicate in her native language and connect with family. When her router stopped working, AT&T stopped her service and said it would cost her $125 to have someone come and remove it. They did not offer any assistance and refused to have a technician come out to help her fix the broken one or replace it. This is not the type of service that AT&T is known for and is frankly embarrassing. My mother is heartbroken that she can't communicate with family and it seems inappropriate that AT&T is taking advantage of her like this. We want this issue resolved ASAP.
Went to an att store in dade city florida to inquire about internet service, this multi billion dollar company does not service this area, but I'm informed I'm eligible for a new phone. The rep., said I would have to cancel the line for the tablet I wasn't using AFTER the new promotion was completed and I would receive the new Samsung 22 for basically free, not taxes and fees. Unfortunately the opposite is in fact true. I was supposed to cancel the line I wasn't using FIRST, then activate the promo. So now I'm paying $800 for a phone I really didn't want or need because of an employee error. Needless to say I will researching other carriers and transfer so I can keep my phone number. I can't believe this company is willing to loose a customer over an employee error. By by att.
Paid phone repair insurance for several years. Finally had a claim for a cracked screen. The company that ATT contracts with was scheduled to come to our home and repair. They called and cancelled twice. The third time they just closed the ticket. No call, no show. I couldn't be more disappointed. ATT is responsible for the quality of their subcontractors. ATT mobile is very expensive and the customer service for repairs is just unacceptable. We will try Spectrum Mobile. $80 less per month and the customer service can't possibly be worse.

AT&T has been around for a very long time and not always are they truthful or Ethical. I had a manager from AT&T who should be working for corporate! She listened to my problem, she searched to identify the problem, and she fixed my problem. She was very thorough! I prefer spectrum, and spectrum gets 10 stars! AT&T and their company we have left twice because of being lied too (At&t gets 1). Ms. Ameisha is the type of person, any big company should want, because she goes above and beyond to find a solution to the problem, she is: gracious, patient, and kind!

The employees are very rude and helpless! The internet goes out all the time! The TV goes out a lot also. They also said for everyone to not be on it at the same time. What type of people would say this to their customers? Going to look for a new service!
I have been a customer since 1990's and am trying to be patient. I opened up two new accounts of wireless and Internet in August 2019 and trying to combine these bills to receive a $10 discount on Internet. It is now June 2020 and my bills are not combined. I have been on about 20+ phone calls lasting at most 1.5 hours in length discussing "issues" and at the end of every call they have said they combined the bills and to wait 3-4 billing cycles to show. It has been 10 billing cycles now and am trying to speak to a supervisor. I would like a call back because all this is not my fault and I have wasted discounted money thus far. So, AT&T if you are receiving this I would like to speak with you.
I have been dealing with this company for a couple years now hoping it will get better, lol no chance of that EVER happening. I paid my bill on the 6th and somehow they can charge me $35 for restoring my internet on the 6th. IT WAS NEVER CUTOFF! And all they can say is "it was suspended but you didn't notice it". Really? I guess that means they can charge that $35 whenever they want since you won't notice your alleged suspension. Unfortunately my area has no other internet provider so I'm stuck with this rip off company. If you have a choice in providers DO NOT choose this one.

For starters... was usable, after years I found incremental decrease in sustainable usability without buffering and constant lag. Do yourself a favor if on the fence and avoid such constraint 25 mbps paid for and rarely see a fraction from various speed testing. Upload seems to have more actual consistency...
This company is not worth the frustration. Once a month their towers go out…. I work from home and I use AT&T internet, and when these towers go out you are without service off and on for about a week or two. Their customer service is extremely irritating and are so generic with their answers. They never truly answer the question that you ask, they beat around the bush and give answers that I'm positive are read off of a script. If you are looking for a cheap carrier service this is the one…. Just keep in mind You get what you pay for, they are not only cheap in their prices but cheap in their service. My husband was fortunate enough to get out and he has no issues from the carrier he switched to.
This phone company is rude. I have been wanting to transfer my number to a new phone with a new provider but they refuse to do so, they keep hanging up on me when I ask to make the transfer. They are a toxic phone company because of that and many more reasons. Hope people realize they are the worst phone providers.
I stayed with AT&T for almost 20 years and finally had it with their worse than poor customer service.
I canceled my service on 8 lines. I paid my phones off canceled my service and they still charged me another billing cycle. Their response was 2 the lines went to the fraud department. I spoke with 3 managers who all argued the charges were valid for one day on two lines. I switched to Verizon and must say the customer service far exceeds AT&T. The representative in the Loyalty Department at AT&T acknowledged they must have really screwed up for me to transfer 6 lines.

Verizon customer service is superior to At&T. They actually listen, do not argue and find a solution. AT&T has a canned response, "their hands are tied and they cannot do anything"
Our internet dips within the kilobit range when we were promised 50 mbps, if not more. Ping is so high that its on the seconds range, and speeds are never consistent. We pay $50 a month, but sometimes they throw in extra side fees for no reason! Forget customer service. What a shame.
