I've had At&t for many years. I'm still on their unlimited data plan. I moved and it's now been almost 4 months and still no service.
I switched from T-Mobile to AT&T recently. Terrible experience from the beginning! Customer service is non-existent! Wait time to speak to a rep was greater than an hour multiple times! Additionally, my bill contained duplicate charges.
My dad and mom had AT&T for twenty something years, paid $262.97 on 10-3-22 then on 10-25-22 their phones were shut off. Talked to multiple representatives that DID NOT help, so sunday went in to a store to find out that my dad who thought he had 1 account apparently has 3 accounts and they want over $800 to turn his phones back on. Needless to say my parents no longer will deal with at&t..

Spent 3 days trying to add a line but no help from the AWESOME customer service people. 3 days?!?!?! And Angela N in the Business Department was just the cream of the crop in ineptitude. At least I didn't have to listen to her sexual exploits.

Like many others have stated this company uses deceptive sales tactics and will rip you off! Got a tablet and was told one price and 3 months later got hammered with huge bills. The tablet is going back and they can take me to court to get their money.
I had a similar incident with the merging of Att and Directv. There customer service sucks and they treat you as though it's your fault. And they don't solve the problem THEY created. I moved in 2015 and closed out my bill (family emergency) they were so kind. I decided to go back when my situation changed a few months ago and with the split now they're charging me separately. It's a big mess. And treating your good customers like $#*! is wrong. I really want to cancel this
This company is a scam! They sent us a bill for $2930 for international calls after 9! Hours of conversations with a million different operators promised to return, which they never did! After 2 months the money has not been returned. But the story is not over, today we received a new bill for 3600! We are in complete shock, but have already removed the auto payment. Tomorrow we are going to change company. If you want huge bills taken from your account without your knowledge, welcome to AT&T
After being told my old phone trade in would be receiving the full $800 value on the pre assessment I was only to happy to take up this offer posting back my old phone. It then tock several weeks for there internal review once they received when I finally find out they gave $120 if I had known this upfront I would have passed. Won't be using them again unless it is an upfront value at a store. Not a happy customer!
They will lie to you just to make a sale then do the opposite. The took a functional phone 4 months later says it won't turn on. Now I'm forced to pay over thousand dollars for a phone that I didn't need on a buy back promotion. No one is trying to make it right. I've been with them since sun TV was in business. I will be dropping them for poor customer service, lies,and deceit.

I have called them 4 times and been on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get my trade in catch up credits. They are just too big and too corporate. They can't resolve a dispute between their own departments to take care of a customer. I have been promised the catch up credits by them but no one seems capable of applying them or letting me know what is going on. The last time on the phone they made it sound like my fault for following their process and wanted me to call to find the phone at their trade in company. Terrible customer service! Each time I have to explain the whole situation over to a new person who is then clueless chatting with back tech support and nothing gets done. They can't even call, text or email back with resolution. I have been a customer for 19 years and will be switching all 4 lines.
As soon as I pay this phone off with them I am Done, They give vets " discounts " which really do not knock much off. Send you emails and bogus special offers then when you inquire about them the price jumps to 3x the amount. Almost 2 years with these guys... tired of the BS.
Called AT&T to set up a land line for my 87 year old mother. After 1.5 hours the gal from another country told me the line would be live in 5 days. 10 days later still no phone line. Called again and 45 minutes later still on hold. Wish there was competition
Be prepared to be on hold for at least an hour and a half and then still basically get no help. If you're an elderly person, forget it! They hope you'll just get frustrated and write the check. Stay as far away from them as you possibly can.

Almost everything I was told was either a lie or at the least mislead with purpose. There is no way out of this agreement with them. Horrible customer service. They approved my phone for trade in than for 6 months said it was not received and now they say the phone was not eligible.the discount, the reason I switched, through my employer has been denied. With the plan not being offered at the time I switched. I can barely communicate with the people in call center as they speak English well. I cannot get an answer to something not scripted might as well be talking to a robot.y bill is higher than ever and my coverage is less. I truly regret switching to at t and I am trapped with this expensive bad service.
Time and days wasted but hopefully I will get my other freaking phone number we have had for 44 yrs to a new provider eventually. Wasted my day again with a 31yr phone line today trying to get ported. I give them a F- with customer service and a A+ for causing mental anguish. They need to hire English speaking adults for American customers and you would think they were getting paid to piss off there long time customers. I have spent 9 hours on the phone with these people. The customer support people are friendly enough, but it is difficult to ever get to anyone who can actually work out a difficult situation. I won't bore you with the details of mine, but the bottom line is that AT&T will not unlock your phone for any reason and the last guy I spoke to actually admitted that they are holding my phone hostage and even though I don't owe them anything, the only way I can ever use my perfectly good Iphone 6 Plus is if it is on one of their networks. Not gonna do it!
Gladys not only worked effectively to solve my problem but she also treated me like a person and not just an account. We had a lovely conversation about the holidays and even shared laughs and she managed to do that while still working on my situation and did all that with a cheery attitude for me calling at 12 am with a complex situation. She really should be the face of cellular customer service because she knows how to make me remember why I chose at&t
AT&T should be ashamed! I've had such a bad experience the last 2 weeks! Ordered a new phone. It was damaged and needed to be returned. I had to order another one and pay twice and wait for a refund... I never revived any return shipping label with my replacement phone! I've called 4 times and each time it's a surprise to them that I'm calling! Each time AT&T says" I'm going to look into this and I'll call you back" BS! I've never once did get a call back to fix my problem! AT&T got my money twice and now they would take fix there end! I'll be filing a BBQ complaint and checking with a lawyer on this scam! It's sad that I have to jump thru hoops and make complaints to get what's right! Shame on AT&T for you non customer service! Instead of paying for one phone it looks like I paid for two! On 8/27/21 out neighbor decided to add internet. The att box was in our yard. When hooking it up the tech cut our service. My son is home on leave after year long deployment. He just wants to play online video games. My wife went and told the tech who was still next door. He said he didn't do anything and left. Now they can't get back until next week to repair it. My sons leave will be over. When it told att this, they don't seem to care. I guess they don't care much about the military. Switching service as soon as possible.
I got charged on my credit card for an account that has been closed for over 5 months and I called to dispute and they had me on a call for almost an hour talking to 4 to 5 person saying the same thing and no one knows how to solve this problem. It is not rocket science!
They have the worst type of customer service set up and what a horrible experience for anyone trying to get any help!

So our family decided to go with At&t because we needed wifi calling and we didn't have that with our provider. So ever since our bill has been up and down! My husband and I had turned in phones so they were suppose to take 10.00 each month, we'll they took mine away... not sure why my 36 months are not up! The other BIG one is charging us for Free phones... I got the Cyber Monday deal 2021 last year and they have been charging me for "FREE PHONES "! I called spent well over 2 hrs on the phone with them. I thought is was taken care of had a big credit and the cost finally showed up as a credit... But it doesn't end there just got a bill 7/14/22 and they took the credit off of one of the phones! So then my mother in law needed a new phone so they had a special 2.00 for a samsung 136u so they credit us 4.95... so now that stopped So now I have to call them again and explain everything! I do not even have an account with AT&T and called them because someone hacked my debit card to pay $300 on a bill of theirs, spoke with a couple different people and confirmed i do not have an account! And basically told me it was fraud and that it would take 7-10 business days to file a fraud case. And then they would mail me a check. Really a check after you took money from my account, unauthorized! They refused to give me any information of whole stole my debit card to pay their at&t single line wireless bill! So in the mean time my account is overdrawn and i out of lick with at&t and these idiots- not once bit twice are trying to offer me to open and at&t account. I stopped the 2nd guy from asking before i was very rude about it. I called because unauthorized money was pulled and over drew my account and you have the audacity to try and get me to open an account with a company which apparently is not very secure!

I went to the local AT&T store in Midland Park with my dead iPhone and assuming I would need to get a new phone and, of course, pay more per month (isn't that what always happens?). Surprise! Store Manager Alex K. Cleaned a wad of lint out of the charging port and lo and behold the phone came to life when he plugged it back in.
He could easily have run up a new sale and make the usual commission. But, he is an incredibly honest fellow and was more interested in helping us than making a commission. Kudos Alex! And thanks. We definitely will be back to upgrade in the near future and highly recommend this AT&T Store and Alex in particular.

I have liked my actual phone service, however customer service is so bad if I could give them 0 stars I would. I don't know if they need more training but I called and and they messed up my whole account when I just wanted to upgrade. Then my bills changes the next day to $100 more. They start adding all sorts of charges that don't make sense. Avoid getting AT&T at all costs. They do not give a crap about their customers..

Worst company I have EVER dealt with. There has been a hole dug in my yard for over 2 weeks with exposed wires. I have called and spoken to at least 30 people about the damage and potential safety hazard. No one has come to fix it or called to let me know when it will be fixed. I have been told several times the situation was escalated, but nothing is ever done.

At&t is nothing but a bunch of rip off bastards I've been dealing with them for over 5 yrs now every promotion they have they lie about it they've been charging me for a basically new phone I traded in they give me 350 instead of the 800 they advertised this time they also have the done me wrong on several other promotions I'm thinking about getting a lawyer to sue for false advertisement. This thing made me give a rating it's making me give at least 1 star at&t doesn't deserve that I would give them a 00.
