The reviews reflect a predominantly negative perception of the company's overall reputation and customer service. Customers frequently express frustration with long wait times, ineffective support, and unresolved billing issues, leading to a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction. Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. While there are occasional mentions of product reliability, the overwhelming sentiment indicates that customers feel neglected and undervalued. This pattern points to a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service protocols and enhance accountability to regain consumer trust.

They DO NOT work with you at all, they charge an outrageous price and the service sucks. I would never go back to them, boost is better
I had AT&T services for less than 2 weeks. It was extremely poor quality and didn't work the whole time I had it, thus why I'm no longer with them. But that's not my main gripe with the company. My concern comes from the fact I've been done with their services for more than a month at this point, (cancelled and equipment returned) and they decided to take $116 out of my bank account. I called to find out exactly why this was done and was told it was due to a "dispatch fee" from when a tech visited my home for repairs. I had issues with my connection and was told I WOULD NOT be billed for the visits since it wasn't my fault yet they decided to do it anyway over a month later. Now I'm having to wait another 2 weeks before my money they literally stole from me will be returned. If you're reading this and haven't acquired their services yet, do yourself a favor and just don't. It's going to be much more of headache and you'll just end up canceling anyway. Even the tech who came to my house advised me of how awful they are, that's really saying something.
You no good for no one i hate you you can't fix nothing but take our money you saw me coming and kicked my $#*! i will not tell anyone to be with at&t
You better hope that if you have a relative who dies and you need to cancel their AT&T service, that you have their password and/or the answers to their security questions.
I thought I had the password, but it had been changed. Talked with a relative and got a second password but it had also been changed.
After three different phone calls to their customer service, and two store visits, I still don't have it cancelled.
After the first two phone calls didn't work, the third customer service person told me that I needed to go to any AT&T store in the town where she had died to cancel service. Her town doesn't have AT&T store and the closest is 11 miles away, and I live at five hours away. Big problem.
Another call produce the information that it didn't need to be a store in her town just any AT&T store. Not true, it has to be an AT&T corporate store. I went to the AT&T corporate store, only to find out the manager was not on duty, and he's the only one with the code to change the password. I learned a little more with each contact. Not a single person in six interactions had given me all of the following information.
You need:
1. The customers account number.
2. You must go to an AT&T corporate store.
3. Call ahead, as the manager has to be on duty, 4. You have to have a death certificate.
5. They didn't say this, but I would bring proof from a probate court that you are the executor and a photo ID to prove you are that executor.
This should get you the ability to get a new password to cancel the account.
We haven't gotten that accomplished because guess, what I have a life!
Meantime days have passed and the bill has gone up and we haven't resolved the issue.
I am turning this over to a relative whose is also an executor.
Hopefully, with the above information, he will be more successful than I was
No land line phones 80% of the time, they have worthless techs,& worthless customer service. If you live in a rural area I hope you are a young person or persons. No cell phone has reception, only hugs net for internet & direct tv all over priced and worthless. PUC can't get anything done with these losers. I don't see anything getting better anytime soon.
For a company who made over 168 BILLION in revenue in 2021, they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Someone there is making boat loads of money while the customer suffers. And good luck cancelling any service, you just keep getting bills to pay, even MONTHS after cancellation. You can't get anyone on the phone to help when there is an issue or if you have a question...DEAD AIR! Billions upon billions within this company, but they (THEY BEING A PHONE COMPANY) don't have anyone ANSWERING THEIR PHONES!
AGAIN, WORST COMPANY EVER!
The billing is very shady. They are doing something different. I have been with them for over 5 years and this has now become a headache and it's ruining my business. I am so disappointed. I consider myself to be truly loyal. AT&T is not!
AT&T is dishonest with its customers. We purchased 2 new iphones and were told over the phone that if we returned our old phone would have got a 350$ credit. As it turns out the credit was spread out over 36 months, but in the multiple calls I had we them they did not specify this at all. We could have sold out iphones privately and would have made much more money. In fact, they quoted me over the phone for 60$ less than our actual bill has turned out to be. 3 different representative at 3 different times told me our bill would go down once they received and recorded our old phones, but this never happened! I consider this equivalent to theft! On top of the fact that their prices are way above every other phone company, that their customer service assistance on the phone is pitiful. Do not be fooled by AT&T what they say they offer is just bogus.
IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Brand new pixel 7 pro, trip to mexico. I was on the line with an ATT representative asking if i had service in Mexico. She didn't finish saying the word "Yes" when my line cut off and it was misery from then on. My six family members that were traveling with me had Cricket, Boost, T-Mobile. They were all on their phones while i watched them, seething and trying to calm my heart that was going to explode from the anger build-up going on. 5 DAYS WITH NO SERVICE! 21 fam members travelled to Mex and guess who was the ONLY ONE with ATT and the ONLY ONE with no service? You got it. Im back home standing by window so i can get service IN MY HOUSE.
1.5 star average rating justly deserved.
Dont say i didnt warn you.
If you have issues are a situation comes up and y need help with arrangements are extension no good agents they tell you anything not secure your account I hv been a customer for over 20yr and was treated like this and was only asking for one more day
I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone! They took my $247.00 and still havent refunded it yet. My kids were waiting on their phones for christmas and never got them soooo i called the most useless customer service in the industry and found out our order had been cancelled, What? By who? Still no answers! We are going with tmoblie bwcause att sucks balls! Please reconsider before you get internet or phones with these idiots! Too many BETTER companies ro go with besides att.
Quoted $179/mo plus tax get bill it's $249/mo plus tax. Sales agent lied about options and cost of options. Customer service continued to give misinformation and over charge my bill. I have to call and spend hours on the phone to get my bill corrected every month but still have to pay the $249/mo. The phone service is not worth the bill. I would have stayed with Verizon better service and customer care.
I' ve got the best service in this shop 2201 31st Street Astoria, NY *******! A lot of questions which I couldn't figure out for some months were done for 30 min in this store. Thanks a lot for your employee Danya! He is the best!
My internet has been down since before the 23rd of December. I kept checking the site and the outage map to see when it would be back up. Kept getting a lot of false "it's fixed"/"no outage" on the att outage map. Finally called on Christmas after getting fed up of the site not at least Acknowledging that there was still an outage. Got an outsourced customer service rep that I could barely understand, told them I KNOW it's still out, and asked for some sort of timeframe for when it's going to be fixed. They asked me to restart my router, and I told them I already reset it 10 times that day to check if the internet was still out. I got put on hold, and told yes, there IS still an outage in my area, and it will be fixed in 24 hrs!... it's still down and all I really want at this point is a reason WHY?. Did ice take out a line? Did a squirrel kamikaze a transformer? Is everyone on strike? I have to start work from home next week, and this might get me in hot water! WTH AT&T? They've got their hands out when the bill is due, but I doubt I'll get any compensation for not being able to use my internet or subscription services for the past week. Also been seeing others post about customer service just straight up hanging up on them, so I may be forced to switch providers sooner than later. It's too bad. The internet worked well, WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY ON!
I went into the local AT&T store to get help with my phone. They refused to help me and lied to me about why they couldn't help. I went to the next closest store and was able to get a little help. Huge hassle and rude people.
My internet has gone out 5 times in 4 months. It has now been out 4 days. Customer no service keeps having me try to reset the modem. My neighbors was out as well. ( apparently they don't see an outage in our area) They called 3 hours before myself and got a same day appt. I was told 5 days is when mine can be fixed. When I seen Atnt outside i informed the technician I was out as well. They had no idea. I was told after some tests that there was problem with our voltage. This technician said he crated a ticket to let the next guy know it was both of us and that tech would have it fixed yesterday. Well …. They fixed my neighbors but not mine …. No supervisors to speak to. I work from home plus it's Christmas … I wish I could give negative stars. Whomever runs this company needs to go work as a greeter at Walmart… That's
A task that They could handle. Clearly running a company is not for them.
I never write reviews but in this case I'll make an exception. Att is horrible. Their service is terrible and their app is useless. Any other service provider has to be better than this.
When it works it works well. When it doesn't work (which is often) it's chaos. We have been experiencing an outage (no internet connectivity or television service for three days and no solution in sight). I have been calling AT&T for three straight days. Enduring the inane automated bots is not just insulting but accomplishes nothing. Occasionally I get connected with a human being who is virtually clueless and who tries to sell me additional phone lines. The last guy I got was in the billing department. He promised to connect me with UVERSE technicians and switched my call to that department. I sat on the line for 42 minutes and then hung up. I should mention that the guy I was connected to asked me to "stay on the line" to answer a few questions about his service and urged me to give him an "excellent" review. When things don't work, ATT is the worst. Question: Why would I waste my time writing a false review which in most cases is NOT against the law? ATT has little regard for its customers.
I figured initially paying a pretty decent premium for standard phone service and high data I would be ok with the cost because I would have really good service and really good customer care, respectful treatment as an honorable and loyal client, I
Would ike I was valued to them and this is absolutely not the case I have been belittled I have been narcissistically gaslighted I have been like disrespected I have been intimidated I've been lied to and and have had early 1400 dollars strong arm stolen from my bank account by these rotten, thieving, liars
Answer: Terrible service, this is the worst service I've ever had. Canceled all services with this company after my customer service experience. Customer service is horrible, their service in general is horrible, and they don't offer anything I can't get at any other competitors store. I wouldn't recommend service or work with this company, they are discriminatory and bias. All they do is take advantage of you and try to sell you stuff that you don't need so they can raise their commission. If you want to be serviced by a bunch of dilettantes, this is the place for you, bad service, work, and experience, Joshua at legacy village has terrible customer service experience.
Answer: At this point I am so disgusted with a T and T your customer service skills are horrible they don't help you out they keep transferring you to different departments just to get you off the phone they do not like to resolve problems and promises that they made they do not keep their promises they get you into getting into their products and getting their commission and then they screw you out of what they promise you I do advise anybody to go through a TNT they are lousy
Answer: Because they never really will cancel your service! They overcharge you and when you finally get a hold of them they still refuse to help.
Answer: To answer your question, Simply there is no accountability at AT&T. They bounce you around and they make NO attempt for resolution.
Answer: I use to work for AT&T, they have gone from bad to worse to I don't give a damn, and that's a shame
Answer: That is just silly. He wldnt be a multi millionaire if his businesses were bad. You forget, everybody loved him till he announced he was conservative. Isn't it all the democratic mayor's and governor's states that are going to shit? Or would you rather take crime over parent choice?
