I went to the local AT&T store in Midland Park with my dead iPhone and assuming I would need to get a new phone and, of course, pay more per month (isn't that what always happens?). Surprise! Store Manager Alex K. Cleaned a wad of lint out of the charging port and lo and behold the phone came to life when he plugged it back in. He could easily have run up a new sale and make the usual commission. But, he is an incredibly honest fellow and was more interested in helping us than making a commission. Kudos Alex! And thanks. We definitely will be back to upgrade in the near future and highly recommend this AT&T Store and Alex in particular.
Beware of this company. They are not secure in anyway on their MyATT app. Mine got hacked and a double payment was made. One being authorized and another not. They will make you pay for their mistake. They will not correct it either. Their customer service is pathetic. They don't care about their customers they didn't through Covid either. I received a letter in the mail about my information being compromised and that they believed no personal information was stolen but explain to me how an unauthorized payment was made. Done go to T-Mobile for service they are by far AMAZING
ATT wrongly charged us then shut off our phones and WON'T fix it! They made the error and then said nothing they can do! We are now without phone service. It's affecting my husbands work and emergency needs for kids!
TO TOP IT OFF! THEY DON'T CARE! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY RIGHT? Hours of work time wasted not to mention emotional stress. AT&T does not care at all about their customers!

AS a long time customer I was most disappointed in certain antiquated practices. I ordered pursuant to a promtion a cell phone and a free additional one. I found the conditions unacceptable and returned both within the time frame provided. First, I was informed that it would take 3 billing periods to receive a check for the sales tax. More shockimg was the charge of $90.00 for a restocking fee, a practice long abanded by most retaiilers. All internet retailers I have dealt with provide instant refunds upon returnig an item and never charge a restocking fee, a practice which would discourage me from purchasing from AT&T in the future.

I was subject to forced migration from DSL to Uverse. These folks did not notify me, and one day I just discovered I was cut off from Internet service. I was so angry and who of course can fight AT&T. I contacted the BBB got an immediate response from AT&T, so they gave me credit for being forced to take Uverse without notice. But still there is a problem, I got charged a full month of service for three days on my billing, have tried to correct this issue and have received no response. If you want to get past the first line of operators that don’t know anything or don’t speak English as their first language, ask for the retention department. So why do I use AT&T, because I will never do business with cable companies, and there is nothing else in the area where I live, I’m waiting for Google Fiber.

I have 3 other services from ATT. Went in to get one wireless line. Found out I have cancer. I've had the wireless service about one month. Tried to cancel. Was told THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT IS IF I DIE! To do THAT, SOMEONE would have to bring the phone AND a copy of my death certificate! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? No compassion, here! If I can't pay the bill, due to being off of work and losing pay, the service gets turned off and I get charged for the entire THREE YEARS AND cost of phone. While I'm going through surgeries and radiation. NICE. Now, do I pay for phone or rent?

This is a letter sent to AT&T Corprate Headquaters. It summarizes their sevices.
To Whom It May Concern:
I wanted you to know that I will be canceling my phone and Internet services provided by AT&T for the following reasons:
1. I will no longer deal with India customer support,
2. Your Internet is too slow, and I have the Pro version,
3. Your office hours for customer support are unacceptable.
I tried to upgrade my service with you and all I got was the run around with a bunch of automated questions. Then I was given an automated response stating that your offices were closed.
WOW! Has customer service 24/7, you speak to a human being, and they are from America. As you know, Consumer Reports latest issue rates your business quite low and WOW! Gives more for less money.
With the customer service you provide in conjunction with the Consumer Reports article, I am confident that I am not the only individual who will be switching providers.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! THEY LET YOU MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS BUT THEN THEY CUT YOUR SERVICE ANYWAY. I CALLED TO TALK TO THEM THEY PROMISED ME A GIFT CARD AND I NEVER RECEIVED IT. THEY SAY EVEN THOUGH I MADE A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT ITS NOT THEIR FAULT BECAUSE THE SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS THE SERVICE OFF AND THEY CANT RESTORE IT UNTIL I PAY THE BILL... SO I ASK, WHAT'S THE POINT OF AN ARRANGEMENT? THEN I KEEP GETTING DIFFERENT REPS WITH DIFFERENT INFO. BAD SERVICE!

I wish I can give AT&T Minus -100 star they are a horrible company and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy I been without my Cell phone now for 3 weeks. I paid my phone off and wanted to use it over seas with a foreign sim card, they gave me the wrong unlock code and many many calls later and many many wasted hours talking to a punch of edits that hardly speak any English with no resolution in sight.

I move my family plan to at&t. I should pay only 140. I discovered all hidden fees and cancelled the account during the trial period. I ended up paying 588. They reject all kind of adjustments.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use the wireless service.

I have had service with att for a long time. My phone and charger finally stopped working. I needed a new phone. ATT informs me I cannot keep same phone number because its prepaid ( this I found out is a lie, you just put your old sim card in new phone to keep old number) ATT lied to me about keeping an old number, then charged me for a new service and activation 45+ 15$ on top of buying a new phone because apparently they cant sell hardware without a newly activated plan.
ATT is squeezing as much as they can out of prepaid customers by misleading people with bad info. This is basically Fraud.
If you need a new phone buy one from a third party and switch your sim card, DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE $#*!ING CORPORATE PIRATES!
ATT SUCKS $#*!, especially for customer service and knowledge of phones and plans. SUCK my fat $#*! ATT

Changed my plan WORST MISTAKE EVER! I was told one rate shocker my bill is way more spent over an hour on the phone customer service would say one thing then change their story a couple minutes later. Finally got to a supervisor after being on hold for 18min who just talked down to me and told me that the 4 other people that I talked to were wrong. The final straw was when I questioned a price offered online vs the $25 more a month that I'm being charged and he tried to say it was a reason that very clearly it wasn't! An hour of my life I will never get back!

ATT agreed to not charge me for installation as a new customer. Howevever, when the equipment sent out and I was not satified, I asked for a techinician to come over and do an installation, they charge $150.

I have so much to write with my dealings with AT&T and the AT&T store in Raynham, Ma. Instead of writing every single detail, I did a short version. I am stuck being an extremely unhappy customer until I can afford to switch to T-mobile or Verizon. I highly recommend you avoid AT&T all together. They really have zero customer care and only worry about how much they can get from their customers. They offer no incentive to keep existing customers. It starts with over a year not having the ability to review any bills and intentionally lying to customers from the store personnel including the manager at the AT&T store in Raynham, Ma.
Store personnel told me on 3 store visits, last visit just figured, I had to accept insurance on each new phone. Charged 3 months. Extra charge $85.00
Store personnel told me, I would receive $1000 towards a new phone and only received $800. Extra charge $206 36 month term.
Store personnel placed insurance on phone.Full year 1 phone of $17.00. Extra charge total $204.00
Store personnel placed next up on all 4 phones. Extra charge $102.00
Store personnel told me to contact customer service to have them wave 2 activation fee for 2 phones. AT&T declined the offer $75.00.
This is after explaining to customer retention twice on the 5 store visits, 3 times speaking with customer service to cancel each charge in 2 consecutive months. They didn't! They basically did as little as possible to shut me up with the least amount of credit. Grand total of $672 from lies and over charges and received only $23.00.
I hope you reconsider choosing AT&T. I am stuck but your not.

They lie a lot just to get you in. I an very disapointed, it is not my first bad experience with them. :( :( :(

I wanted to commend Michael Sanchez from the AT&T Beeville store for always providing EXCELLENT customer service whether it's in store or over the phone. He is one of the reasons we don't take our business elsewhere. He is always so knowledgeable and informative. Kudos to Michael!

I subscribed to AT&T U-verse service on or about 05.15.2019 at my apartment complex. When I signed up the customer service rep said that there would be no early termination fees because I did not live in the USA. Service was fine, but I had an emergency where I had to return home unexpectedly because my wife needed an emergency surgery. I called AT&T and their representative told me that it would be no problem and further stated that he, Anthony, was going to zero out the account because they understood. This was on 07.25.2019.
So here we are two months later and now AT&T is extorting money out of me for supposedly non return of their equipment and some supposed early termination fees.
I had spoken to:
1. Anthony on 07.25.2019 was going to zero out the account because they understood
2. Paula on 08.27.2019 who said that everything would be alright and
3. Jeremy on 08.27.2019 zeroed it out to get rid of early
4. Kimberly on 09.25.2019 said she would connect me to a specialist
5. Tracy on 09.25.2019 the supposed specialist could not do anything
6. Maria on 09.25.2019 who transferred me
7. Melissa on 09.25.2019 who hung up on me
After speaking with 7 of AT&T's representatives and having been told several times this would be worked out, here I am two months later and AT&T is trying to now extort money out of me saying that they did not receive the modem back and that they are charging me early termination fees.
This is dishonesty. I would not recommend this company to no one.

I've been a customer most of my life but I will never use ATT again.
3 months after giving me a "free" promotional phone they tell me I was hoodwinked at the ATT Store and I will have to pay for the phone now in installments.

They gave me the wrong number. When I called the operator, they couldn't give me a number. I needed the number because I left my cell phone on a kiosk there. ATT supervisor pretended that she couldn't hear me and proceeded to say "I am releasing the line and hung up. I had to find someone to use their cell phone to call HCSO to locate my phone. ATT overcharges for services as it is and the service is never up to par. ATT would make Alexander Bell turn over in his grave.

I would never recommend them at all. First off they lie to you from the start. The service reliable, hell no, lie one. The price stated in the store, hell no, lie two. Phone discounts, not really, lie three. I blame myself because what sound good ain't always the truth and I know this. So I blame myself. But on the other hand if I tell you this service is not working for me because I am on dialysis and disabled all my calls drop after a few minutes sitting down. They keep sending signals not working. All I want is to get out this contract because they lied and my life depends on food phone service. They don't care I have to pay over a 1000 dollars for 2 phones that in my contract is stated sale price 150 a piece which is 300. Stay away from the store completely. I leave in a rural area which I know can be hard but they have my address at the beginning and told me it had perfect service. Why do I have to pay for lies no service no hotspot and dropped conversations even when I try to call customer service but they blame it on the people I'm talking to service, bull $#*! I don't want to hear that. Now some of my friends do have at&t so it could be them because your service(AT&T) sucks. Now I know one thing my mom got Verizon and they always got good service so that's a lie.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away. Lies all the way around. From quality of service and price given at time of contract

I have a hard time communicating with the people who answer the phone and are supposed to represent the company I have been charged $100 for them replacing their modem because it was too old I am going to have to find another company because I do not-approve of companies that employ other countries then the US I had that problem also with Bank of America and you never get service from them because their job is to just answer the phone confuse you and not get anything done
