Very disappointing when finding that all rewards offered when activating Internet 300 service online are automatically switched to a bundled product that after 7 weeks has not yet arrived. They sent an email 2-3 days after service activation showing that you qualify for an "extra" reward but what they don't disclose is that if accept this "extra" reward, it automatically disqualifies you from the other rewards, close to $250. Just cheating to get you in because most probably you won't even receive the bundle. After 7 weeks waiting period, they just said that an extra 4 weeks are needed. Would it arrive? I think this is just an AT&T SCAM!
I switched from T-Mobile to AT&T recently. Terrible experience from the beginning! Customer service is non-existent! Wait time to speak to a rep was greater than an hour multiple times! Additionally, my bill contained duplicate charges.
They will sell you 5g even if your area doesn't have towers. I addressed it and it's basically SOL. Rude staff, everyone giving me the run around. Go to Verizon they are way better. Once I get out of this prison sentence of a contract I'm going right back to Verizon. HEY ATNT I WILL REMOVE THIS IF YOU LET ME OUT OF MY CONTRACT. Until then people. Make the right choice. Even if it's not Verizon atnt is trash service. I was in my contract for maybe 30 days after I started to slowly learn service is awful in my area. I called and said " hey why is my service so terrible?" "Oh it looks like there aren't any 5g towers in your network. Oh? So remove my plan because that's what I signed up for? Ope sorry no can do. Trash company #garbageservice #runaway
Tip for consumers:
Doesn’t use Atnt. The 5g towers are scarce. Bad service

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM after describing the many mail & e mail offers, I finally called only to have another hard hit on my credit score and then told I would need a $400 for the 1st phone, I have 3 lines with Verizon but am not too happy anymore after 7 years with them. Also would need $300 for each additional phone. What a joke, I have good credit have not been late not once with my Verizon payment. From now on all emails will be marked spam and any mail will go straight in the trash. By the way I know the pre-approved offer doesn't mean that I am approved, but why do many offers with these ridiculous deposit amounts. They must think I have stupid written on my forehead. What a joke. Not sure anymore which wireless phone company is the worst anymore, either no coverage after driving 20 miles out of town, ridiculous deposits, ridiculous 14 day return policy, no 1 truly knows if they like the phone in that time period. After going to my parents home 45 miles away lost service after 20 minutes, not enough memory, too many stupid pre-installed apps that I have to force closes constantly. I thought that way back in the day of the track phone, was bad because whether a person answered or not it took you points, HORRIBLE but some of these cell phone company's are just as bad, if possible.

After being on the phone on and off with them from 4:30 pm-8pm I'm always told wait times where 3.5 mins longest I was on hold was 2 hours (I did other things while waiting to see) but every time some one from CS would pass me off to tech who would then pass me on to loyalty who would then put me on hold then hang up every time I'm just trying to get internet hooked up y'all but I guess I'll be going with my only other option and that that's buckeye cause I can't get spectrum where I'm at

June of 2022 I wrote of AT&T, very poor cell & home internet service. Since that time my cell service got no better, period. To the point that my family terminated our service and went to Verizon. I can truthfully say that my cell service improved a lot. Seldom do I loose a call now. With AT&T I lost calls regularly & as often as daily. Their tower is 3 to 4 hundred yards from my house. Go figure that. Cell phone internet service improved also with Verizon, not perfect but a very big improvement.
I still have AT&T home internet with very poor & slow service but my options in S.Texas are extremely limited.
I have called AT&T so many times it really hurts to think about it. People are always very nice but deliver no results. In a nut shell, I wasted a lot of my time for nothing. At one time an AT&T rep offered me a 10% reduction on my bill that month. I told him that was not a bargain for me since their service did not work way more than 10% of the time. Believe that upset him and I did not even get that. Ask your friends and neighbors before getting AT&T service to make sure the area you are in, will get you the service you are going to pay for.

I am trying to start a home based business and, for that, I use Autodesk Fusion360 which is a cloud based CAD/CAM program.
In order to use it, data must flow both ways freely but the upload speed is between. 00 (yes ZERO) and. 02 Mbps. That is far, far below what I am paying for and makes my expensive computers, CAD/CAM programs and, Internet in general USELESS.
Not only am I stuck at home but, thanks to AT&T, cut off from my work and the outside world.
I tried to upload screen shots showing the ridiculous upload speeds and, could not even do that.

Well... At&T gets the award for having the worst customer service ever. I want everyone to understand I have been an AT&T customer for more then 40 years. In fact, I have never change. I was the first person I know to have a cell phone. It was prior to bag phone, you had to have it installed in your car and rates were $1.20 per minute(rounded up) and installation in those days was $550. I am not exaggerating I know over the years I have spent more then $50,000 with them. My current base bill is $305 per month however there has been several months my bill was over $700 due to my teanage girls data usage.
Getting to the point... last week my two year contract was over and I dropped two lines expecting my bill to go down. It actually went up $46.25, nothing has change except an additional 23 dollars and change on the lines I dropped. No my contract is up it is not that either. I know you may think something else is wrong but no I have rollover data 9 gigs in the bank. I sat on hold for 14 minutes give passwords and all the other bull you have to go through to talk to someone. The customer service person assured me she would get to the bottom of it. Well while talking to her the call was dropped. Do you think having my billing information up my phone number showing she called me back NO WAY tough $#*! on me. Well Hello Verizon?. Any recommendations on phone service?

When it works it works well. When it doesn't work (which is often) it's chaos. We have been experiencing an outage (no internet connectivity or television service for three days and no solution in sight). I have been calling AT&T for three straight days. Enduring the inane automated bots is not just insulting but accomplishes nothing. Occasionally I get connected with a human being who is virtually clueless and who tries to sell me additional phone lines. The last guy I got was in the billing department. He promised to connect me with UVERSE technicians and switched my call to that department. I sat on the line for 42 minutes and then hung up. I should mention that the guy I was connected to asked me to "stay on the line" to answer a few questions about his service and urged me to give him an "excellent" review. When things don't work, ATT is the worst. Question: Why would I waste my time writing a false review which in most cases is NOT against the law? ATT has little regard for its customers.

DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU about promotions if you transfer service. I was told by three different people that if I transferred my phone service from Sprint my bill would be at least $50 cheaper. Come the day I transferred, I was told I'm actually now paying $50 MORE than I was with Sprint. I was bounced around to person after person and department after department and all anyone could say is 'oh I'm sorry you were given that misinformation'. Now I have to go through the headache of transferring our phone plan BACK to Sprint and getting a new internet provider. I hope you enjoy that 300 bucks, AT&T, because it's about to cost you $100 a month in perpetuity when I dump your internet service for good.

AT&T has been difficult in the sense that the website and general customer service automated system is not user friendly. I had an unfortunate customer service experience recently that was completely rectified by two agents of whom I spoke to today. Henry with AT&T internet customer service and May with AT&T Direct TV customer service. They were BEYOND ACCOMMODATING and so incredibly attentive and kind. These two agents are the reason I am happy with my AT&T service and they deserve to be recognized. Thank you Henry and May for your excellent customer service! You rocked it!

Started my quest at a local store in Middletown, NY where a Manager refused to honor the online promotions, even though, I was advised on the phone that they should. The manager (without checking phone compatibility) then sent me home to order my own SIM card online and to come back for the activation. As it turns out the phone could not be activated and ATT not only charged me for the SIM card they went ahead and decided to charge my Credit Card for a monthly service for a phone that was never activated. Who the F! Does THAT!

Technician came out at approx. 09:30 am and did not complete the installation outside the home and left hazardous material all over our backyard in the exposed elements. At&t needs to complete running the line to the telephone pole as all the wiring is laying outside and the technician left at approximately 10:30 am. We need someone to come back out and handle the incomplete installation.
Austin left me on hold for over 45 minutes while trying to contact someone else for my incomplete installation. Brianna transferred me to another support line after stating she was sorry and she could help. Trey from Springfield gave me a direct line: *******972 for technical support to have a technician rescheduled. That line rang for over 10 minutes and I disconnected.
Online chat support with Phillip guided me to another direct line which will call me back in about 15 minutes: *******020
Jimmy gave me a call back. He is transferring me to another team that can assist. Line Disconnected after ringing for 10 minutes.
Just being ran in circles and no one is able to help.
Over 200 feet of hazardous wiring was left on our back patio. We have lots of animals and children. This is not okay! Please assist!

Good luck honestly.

Fours years ago I had AT&T as my internet provider, It was too slow, and I did not like the service, so I canceled it, At the time on the original order for the Internet, we bought a protection plan with online support. When we canceled the Internet, we also canceled the protection. That was four years ago but, they still kept charging me the $15.00 per month for the add on protection
I called numerous times and talked with many agents who told me they would correct the problem. Never happened! I calculated AT&T owes me approximately $750.00 over four years for failure to cancel the charges we no longer needed or wanted. The last time I talked with an agent, I surmised from the conversation that was going nowhere. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there was none available. Total jerks! They talk a lot, but it's all bull $#*!. When I canceled my subscription with AT&T they just acted like nice having you around for eleven years, "pasta la vista.
We were AT&T customers for eleven years. They could care less. I checked their reviews
3 and 90% were one star. That speaks a lot.

Had Pre Paid $350+ accrued in AT&T Go Phone. Time expired. AT&T sent NO EXPIRATION NOTICE. Grabbed my entire $$ and shut down the phone the next day. After groveling enough they eventually gave me a whole $30 credit and reopened my phone.

The ATT website clearly states that customers are billed for service a month in advance. I paid my bill on 9/4/17 before it was even posted online. It is normally due around the 21st of the month. Their site indicated that I had a credit (negative balance) because I paid it so early. My college child's phone was not working properly, and when she came home on 9/9/17, we went into an att office to look into getting a new phone for her. I had just paid off the two phones on the account with the last payment and had been paying insurance on the phones. The att rep was not helpful and recommended we wait a month or two for the prices of phones to drop. When your child is away at college you don't wait a month for them to have a working phone! Idiot att rep!,, Did I mention I've been with att for +10 years. I left and went to Verizon and switched that day with new phones and less per month that what I was paying att. Now att says they will not refund any of my payment even though I used their service for only one week of the month paid in advance. They keep saying that what is written on the website is confusing. Ha! I have three college degrees and can read very well, in fact I'm a teacher, and the website is not confusing to me at all. Att is going to try and steal $100+ from me and then charge me even more for the one week I used their service. This is not honest business practice. They might steal it but not w/o a fight from me, and I won't be paying then another cent. BBB will be getting a complaint from me. Take my advise and stay away from this group of thieves!

If I could use any internet provider other than AT&T, I would. But the apartment complex I live in is all dedicated to AT&T. I have tried them various places all over the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and it is always the same old song. "It is not our equipment, it is your computer, your TV, your device, have a good day." Or they will give me specific instructions like, "Try a wired connection via ethernet -- that will solve all your problems. Have a nice day." The problems are never EVER solved. They replace the router. Same problems afterwards. They "change the connections" from wherever they are located (usually the far side of the planet and very difficult to understand). The problems persist. Slow internet, repeated disconnections, constant buffering, deny, deny, deny. Last time, they told me it was because so many people in my building were also using ATT and that "caused interference." Well, we all HAVE to use ATT because ATT convinced the apartment construction team that the whole complex should be wired for ATT and nothing else. So here I am. Same old song, same nonsensical lyrics, and I am sick of it.

In March 2021 I added a new line for my daughter. I was looking on the website for what phone to get. AT&T was offering an iPhone XS for 30 payments of $5 per month. ($150 total). I had a question about the new line and called AT&T to talk with customer service. While on the phone they said I could complete the order over the phone, so I did. Fast forward 3 months and I am being charged $30 per month for the new phone. I did three online chats (1 hr each) with AT&T to question the charges, each time I was told they would correct the problem and I would receive confirmation via email. I did not receive any email confirmations, so I called AT&T. After many calls, transfers, disconnects I learn that because the order was processed over the phone, the discount does not apply and there is nothing they can do. I will be charged 30x$30= $900 for a phone that was supposed to cost me $150. After 5-1/2 hrs trying to resolve this issue with AT&T the best they can do is give me a $400 credit to my account. So now I am paying $500 for a phone that was advertised as $150. The AT&T employee who processed the order never told me that I would be charged full price for the phone, even though I was very clear that I was discussing the $5 per month offer.

I started with there Wi-Fi which was AMAZING no issues at all but when I finally decided lets try out the wireless side BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! I canceled within their 14 day window and returned the phones and everything just to be told I owe a $313 bill which is for an entire month so I called and canceled and decided to do T-Mobile instead they have better discounts and for whatever reason how do I end up with a almost $700 bill when I canceled within the 14-day window. How do you keeping charging after an account has been canceled and you have received your merchandise back. I canceled my Wi-Fi service due to the horrible customer service I had to deal with and guess what still dealing with the issue when I been trying to get settled when it happened in November of 2022.
