AT&T has a rating of 1.2 stars from 2,434 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about AT&T most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and next day problems. AT&T ranks 245th among Internet Service Provider sites.
Very disappointing when finding that all rewards offered when activating Internet 300 service online are automatically switched to a bundled product that after 7 weeks has not yet arrived. They sent an email 2-3 days after service activation showing that you qualify for an "extra" reward but what they don't disclose is that if accept this "extra" reward, it automatically disqualifies you from the other rewards, close to $250. Just cheating to get you in because most probably you won't even receive the bundle. After 7 weeks waiting period, they just said that an extra 4 weeks are needed. Would it arrive? I think this is just an AT&T SCAM!
I switched from T-Mobile to AT&T recently. Terrible experience from the beginning! Customer service is non-existent! Wait time to speak to a rep was greater than an hour multiple times! Additionally, my bill contained duplicate charges.
It's always down for hours at the time. No apologies from company, no money off bill, just no service and the customers are over it in this area

I switched my business phones from TMobile to AT&T. The biggest business mistake I've ever made. The salesman lied about the price and everything is in writing via email. Trying to get any answers from their customer service is impossible. They will either hang up on you, send you to a different department, give you a number to call that is out of service, or say the problem is with the other department and there is nothing that they can do for you. I was promised 5 lines for the price of 4 because the 5th one was free due to a special that they had running. I was also promised roughly 800 to 1000 for every phone that I turned in and they would upgrade me. I shipped the phones to the label that they sent me and when I called to find the status they claim that they never got it. I give them the tracking number and for some reason, they find out that they gave me the wrong label and it was sent to the wrong ATT warehouse. They told me that they would fix everything and just wait for 4 billing cycles for it to take effect. Well, it still has not happened...they are saying that the trade-in department didn't leave any notes on my account and the trade-in department says they did everything correctly. The customer service is a complete joke...when I told one of the agents that I have called about 20 times that week only to be put on hold for 30 minutes and then disconnected, he literally laughed in my face and said well if I can't resolve it what are you going to do...keep calling back. It is hard to believe that a company, the size of AT&T is run like a company that can't even compete with the scammers from India. At this point, I am debating whether to just cut my losses or seek legal action. I run a business and I never dealt with a company that operated with such incompetence. Never again!

1- On 5th of may I signed up for an At&t internet account. We paid 99 dollars plus the first month's bill.
2- On the 9th the tech rep came and installed the internet.
3-That point we realized that it was not the connection speed promised by the sales reps at the store. Much much slower. Other companies provide much better service. (promised 300mps, received 14mps. Now with Xfinity we get 300mps. So it is AT&T's bad.)
4-So we cancelled our internet on 22nd, WITHIN THE 14 DAYS CANCELLATION PERIOD.
5- Since we were in the 14 day period after the installation, we were fully refunded, both the bill and 99 dollars deposit.
6- In 20 days, I receive an e-mail saying we have to pay 99 dollars. After the cancellation and we stopped using the service, returned the equipment and they paid the 99 dollars back because they failed to deliver what they promised and we cancelled our service in 14 DAY PERIOD.
7 - Now they are asking 99 dollars from us. I cannot reach to call center because it says "for us to help you first you pay your bill".
8- People on the "chat" section on the website cannot do anything. They say this is a valid charge because they set this up on your house. When I say, it was not what I was promised and cancelled it in the frikking 14 day period, they say call the call center. But I cannot reach to call center.
It is a joke. I hate myself for choosing AT&T in the first place. Stay away from these people!

My name is Luz Mendoza I was with AT&T for 3 years it so happends I had to move to a new house. They would not allow me to transfer the service to my new house. I had to cancel the service and set up a new apt. I set up the apt for 8-13-20 window from 8am-6pm. Tech did not ring my door bell waited for him all day. I called AT&T they stated tech left a note on their system that he could not do the job because my vehicle was on his way. He could of nock or ring the door bell and asked me to move my vehicle. I have to work from home 8-14-20 this is the reason I set up my apt. I spoke to 5 diffrent managers for the inconvenience they said they could not send a tech today 8-14-20 to set up the internet. Well now because of AT&T not setting up the internet I got fire I'm jobless. They now that we are in a Pandemic they do not care and they have poor customer service. As well their agents working from home they have poor customer service they should listen to their recordings they have poor attitude they should be thankfull they have a job other people they wished they had a job in this pandemic. I give them Zero Stars.

They do not respect customers' time and input. Almost zero customer service. I gave them one star, which is a lot for them. They deserve zero star.

At one time respect and integrity meant something in America! In the case of ATT these values are long gone! The customer means nothing to ATT Whatsoever! They could care less if you are a customer or not. They care about what is best for them and if you get run over in the process, so be it! I would give the company negative stars if this was an option! If one does not have to go with these people then do not they could care less about you! Use any other provider if you possibly can! This includes Via-Sat as well!
We had set up Via-sat and the person of whom we spoke to flat out lied to us. They lied on direct questions as well as, providing false information about pricing. Back to ATT we live in a rural area and they seem to know that we have no other option so they take advantage of you! Essentially, they kick you when your down. We have had 3 different installations set up and have not had anyone to actually even come out! Instead of moving you back an hour or to they put you back in line a week or two down the road when having 2 weeks or more to make the original appointment. When my wife and I tried to speak to a manager they were conveniently all busy? The call center people wherever they are don't even speak English to where they are understandable. My last call I talked to 4 people and could not understand any of them without having to ask what they said numerous times. ATT is an example of what shouldn't ever take place when conducting business with anyone. If ATT was a person you would defiantly not want them as a friend or even an acquaintance because they have no morals or integrity and one couldn't expect anything good to happen as a friend.

This April we were outreached by AT&T with a great promotion to join their wireless network as we were internet consumers in good standing. The offer was $20 off and 25% off monthly for two years if we chose to sign up for the unlimited plan. It was a no brainer for us as this seemed as a magnificent deal. In addition to this if we upgraded our internet we were promised a total of $250 gift cards, one for signing up initially and another for upgrading. Done and DONE. We were informed that the promotions would take two to three billing cycles to kick in. So we waited! The three billing cycles came and went and no discount was applied. Outreached customer service and we were asked to wait some more because they needed to "link our accounts". And so we waited some more. It is now December so a total of 8 months with no promotions applied and we are out over $500. Minimum of 7 calls to AT&T and numerous representatives and no resolution. Today after 8 months of calling and following up we were informed that we will not be receiving our discount as we brought over our phones. It apparently did not matter that we asked this upon signing up and that NO WHERE on the email we received from AT&T did it state this. No explanation, no adjustments and no apologies issued so basically after 8 months of getting our money and business in a timely fashion without any issues they have told us that our business is no longer needed. I will say that at least today's agent had some professionalism and didn't hang up on us or laugh in our faces as the previous members have. As for the gift cards that were supposed to be issued to us... we got the links to "claim" them but the links went to nowhere. Their rewards department is allegedly going to mail one card within the next two to three weeks. The card that we were supposed to receive upon signing up will not be reissued as per reward supervisor, Kylie, because too much time has lapsed (regardless of the fact that we've called to follow up numerous time). Kylie also proceeded to hung up on me after discussing the difference between can't and won't. I wish we would've read the reviews. Lesson Learned.

DEAR AT&T managers and supervisor! I see why your customer service is sucks. Because of your manager and supervisor NOT. The representative. It's the management, if this is how you guys treat people I don't want to be part of this company anymore. I'll take my business somewhere else. People at at&t are rude and nasty. Yuck. Oh, and this steals money from you when you addressed it. They credit that back to your account you could have used that $80I Credit that back to your account you could have used at $80 $40. To buy food for your kids. They know exactly what they are doing. They keep doing this over and over on my account because once they credit that back to your AT&T account, they will get it back on your next bill. That's how they keep that EXRTA MONEY THEY They keep doing this over and over on my account because once they credit that back to your AT&T account, they will get it back on your next bill. That's all they keep that extra money they overcharge on your account. They were just credit back to your AT&T account because they know they will get it back on the next bill. It's sad. I finally realize that AT&T I've been doing this for so long overcharge me and then when I address the situation, they will just put the money back on my AT&T account. I couldn't have used that $80 $40 to buy a grocery AT&T, they will just put the money back on my AT&T account. I couldn't have used that $80 $40 to buy a grocery AT&T This ain't right. I was with Sprint for 10 years. I decided to go with AT&T after they offered to lower my bill by $100. I met with a third-party AT&T representative at a local Target in Westminster Colorado, this is where the scam started. I was told if I signed up for AT&T and brought my service over from Sprint that they would pay off all four of my phones within 90 days. I sent my phones in time and they were lost! After 90 days I had to call AT&T because I was receiving calls from Sprint said they were going to send me to collections due to the phones not being paid off by AT&T. I called AT&T after I received this call, I was told that the phones were lost in the warehouse and for me to call back at a later date. After calling a couple times over the next couple months the phones were found and finally found and the representative I spoke with said they were paid off. Fast forward to July 2022, I check my credit report only to find out that I'am in collections for $2018. I called AT&T, after being on hold for an hour and speaking with numerous representatives, I was told that this was never a promotion they offered. I'am now stuck with this bill for the phones that I submitted to AT&T when I switched over my service. I feel like I might not be the only person out here that was scammed by AT&T. #AT&TScam

AT&T technician and Vice President Of Inglewood Chargers Youth Football Organization, Christopher William Parr, 1-31-1964 -*******447) retaliated against a mother on FB over a comment she "liked" about somebody named Brinona Taylor. In his own words as shown in the image he told her he searched her FB page and found her address on Google and threatened to shoot her "small child". When I confronted Christopher in FB messenger he went off on me in an angry hate filled, radical racist rant in which he wrongly assumed I was White, I'm not. He also went on to explain that he was avenging the death of Brionna Taylor and his cousin who had been shot by the police 12 times. I have images of the entire documented text exchanged saved. I have also sent this image of the death threat out to numerous media outlets in the Los Angeles area and have alerted all law enforcement, local, state, county, and federal. I can be contacted any day after 1:00 PM Eastern Time if you have any questions or need any additional information including images in Christopher William Parr's own words. I have been trying to get my service fixed since May! I cannot have a bill sent to me without them charging me to send the bill even though I cannot log into my account because they cannot fix the glitch that has haunted my account since May. They charge me a late fee every month since the only way I can pay is to make an appointment at the store which since COVID has been a nightmare! The last appointment I made I sat out in my car for over an hour in a parking lot waiting for a new phone and to pay my bill. They say they will remove the fee on next month's bill and it never has happened not even once! I have been on hold this morning for over 4 hours (still on hold as I write this) and I have talked to 3 people 2 of which were in India and had no idea what they were even talking about or any knowledge of anything ATT. I have my account for over 30 years and I can honestly say it's time for a change! This is the worst service ever and I would never do business with them again our new company phones we bought through Verizon got that deal because of the way they have handled my account! #ATT #attsucks #badservice #customerservice #customerexperience

My Husband wanted to upgrade our phones called AT&T on Feb4th spoke with what we thought was a very nice Lady. She took our information told us our phones would arrive on Feb17th however the sim cards did arrive we call back to let them know we receive them. A Rep instructed my Husband to install them in our old phones then he switched our service over to At&t. We called back was told a charge of $300 per phone had to be paid when ask why was told because of our credit even though both of our credit scores is over 800. We spoke to many different Reps most didn't speak much english we never got same story from either one.$90 a month was quoted to us as our monthly bill after my Husband Military discount. Spoke with Nick at the Myrtle Beach Corporate Office was told the Phones were never ordered also military discount was never applied. He was sorry for the mistake and we could either pay $600 or Change our numbers which we've had over 15+years. I do my Business on my phone not changing my number or paying $600
