I went to the local AT&T store in Midland Park with my dead iPhone and assuming I would need to get a new phone and, of course, pay more per month (isn't that what always happens?). Surprise! Store Manager Alex K. Cleaned a wad of lint out of the charging port and lo and behold the phone came to life when he plugged it back in. He could easily have run up a new sale and make the usual commission. But, he is an incredibly honest fellow and was more interested in helping us than making a commission. Kudos Alex! And thanks. We definitely will be back to upgrade in the near future and highly recommend this AT&T Store and Alex in particular.
Beware of this company. They are not secure in anyway on their MyATT app. Mine got hacked and a double payment was made. One being authorized and another not. They will make you pay for their mistake. They will not correct it either. Their customer service is pathetic. They don't care about their customers they didn't through Covid either. I received a letter in the mail about my information being compromised and that they believed no personal information was stolen but explain to me how an unauthorized payment was made. Done go to T-Mobile for service they are by far AMAZING
AT&t bad service bad costumer service don't trust them they told me you will pay 189$/months and in first bill they sent me bill for 400$ and when I talked with at&t costumer service they said to me: We can't do anything for you you should Pay this 400$ :(

Terrible customer service. They do not speak understandable english, they stonewall and refuse to solve issues. I had to pay a bill I don't owe (since I had switched to Spectrum) to avoid it being turned over to a collection agency. Infuriating and, I believe, intentional big company treatment of a longterm customer. Wish I had switched years ago. DO NOT GO TO ATT WIRELESS

I have the rog phone 3 which is a top of the line phone that supports 5G that I bought about a year and a half ago, a couple of days ago I updated to Android 12, now my phone doesn't support VoLte. I can find the setting to enable it but the toggle button is grayed out. This is a setting on the AT&t side and I can't change it without rooting my phone. Their solution was for me to buy a new phone. I have been a customer of AT&t for over 15 years. The only way I was able to fix my phone is a change of carriers, now I'm on T-Mobile my phone works fine.

NEVER GET THIS INTERNET IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORSE THING $5 internet would be better than this internet and it is not good for anything you can't game on it you can't even watch a show on it without loading in the time that loads is longer than the actual movie usually and you get an average about 100 to 200 pink in just about all games so yeah that's AT&t for you this is the worst company for internet and we went lost our internet or 3 weeks because their customer service sucks and the people that they send out here do not know what they're doing and they're just an overall really bad company

We had just switched from T-Mobile to AT&T and the process was completely horrible. Two of my family phone numbers were ported with no issue, but the third one was stuck in, as they called, "a limbo" between their service and T-Mobile, meaning that that phone had no service and could only take calls through WI-FI. A worker had helped us for nearly a month, with seemingly no solution provided by him, his manager, or any other higher ups because "they had never seen it happen before". We kept trying to fix the problem as we couldnt lose that phone number, but in the end, we had to change that phone back to T-Mobile. Due to the circumstances, we were offered a "compensation" that never appeared in bank statements or in our bill. But nevertheless, we stayed with AT&T for almost a month. However, problems didn't stop there, as we had now "owed" around $200 out of nowhere, and we contacted the same person who set up our lines and it was as if they disappeared from the face of the earth. It was the last straw, so we decided to switch all the other phones back to metro, but apparently, AT&T can delete your phone number if you switch unless you stay with them for 36 months. Do not get AT&T's mobile service, as they're just scam artists with a storefront. Their "contractless plan" is just as binding as an actual contract but much worse, so save your time, money, and sanity, and avoid this carrier at all costs, there are better options out there.

Interminable hours on the phone with totally useless overseas customer service reps
Bad equipment, bad service, mistakes in billing.
Get everything in writing, they lie and over promise. Always underdeliver.

I transfered my service from Verizon only because my home internet was through ATT. My brother is on my account so I transfered him. He did not have internet for 2 days due to representative putting wrong account number. After he got his phone working I had to reset my pin on my account. Took 30 minutes on phone and it should have been fixed right? Wrong! They changed my voice-mail password to a number they did not give me so I had to call again 30 minutes to get them to reset it again. Today 16 days after I got my new phone battery is dead and won't charge. Brought it to a store and they told me they can't do anything so I had to call warranty dept. Called another 30 minutes! They said they will ship me new phone in 3-4 days! To finish step she sent me a text to verify and phone will be shipped as soon as that is done. Clicked the link and it said I had no service issue set up with this phone. I've been on hold now for 1 hour 14 minutes so far with another representative that said she can fix it. I think I will go back to Verizon now. This is the most incompetent service dept I have ever seen.

Here is my story.
I and my wife were loyal AT&T customers for 10 years.
We both own relatively new 4G Huawei phones.
Recently we started experience call cuts usually when we not on our home cell.
Both phones work fine and the reason of call cut was DELIBERATE AT&T call redirection. For some reason AT&T think that our phones are 3G phones and what happens if you call some line you hear "welcome to AT&T". Then after waiting an a line they tell you "you phone will not work after February 2022 and balh blah blah and they try to sell you some cheesy AT&T phone. I once told the AT&T rep to cut this feature of my service and he did and I was able to call who I need at once.
Some time after - again. You travel, need to make an urgent call somebody, you hear "Welcome to AT&T".
EVEN - I say EVEN I got 3G phone - who gave AT&T right to cut my call? Who is this moron who designed such a feature? By doing this AT&T shows brazen disrespect for its customers. We both quit and we will never return.

CAN'T SPEAK TO A PERSON IN AMERICA, CAN NOT UNDERSTAND A WORD THEY SAY. VERY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING! SPOKE TO 4 PEOPLE ABOUT MY BILL AND WAS TREATED TERRIBLE AND STILL DID NOT GET MY BILL FIXED. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY! MY RATING IS LESS THAN A STAR BUT WAS FORCED TO SELECT ONE!

The AT&T store at Freehold Raceway Mall ( 4345 US-9, Freehold, NJ *******) sold 4 lines to my family by promising $350 credit per each line in September 2022. The salesperson is Zach or Zack and the manager was Asgar. I have been calling to AT&T customer service and the Store for the last 3 months to get that promotional credit. Now they are all denying it and I'm in a contract for 36 months. I was with T-mobile for 18 years and never had any issues. I made a biggest mistake by switching to AT&T. I thought AT&T is a reputed and responsible company. I will impatiently wait for another 32 months until I switch back to T-mobile.
I called AT&T customer loyalty department and all I got was apologies for AT&T employees misconduct.

AT&T has the WORST customer service! Do NOT switch to them! I switched to them 8 months ago and traded in my iPhone X and have spent the past 8 months calling them and spending 90-120 minutes EACH call attempting to get credit for my iPhone X I traded in. They bounce you around and their FB messenger is a joke. I have no resolution- they basically STOLE MY IPHONE

They have the worst customer service I have ever seen When I purchased the service I was told my bill would be 200 a month my bill is 400 a month and now they want to add another 200 for no reason my service is the worst no service is more like it

Went in to add a phone line planning to use my own equipment sales rep told us about a newer model that was free. I also kept stating that I could only afford 30 to 35 dollars a mon. On the added line I was aware of the onetime activation fee, he told us that we had to have insurance for $15 for 3 months & then we could cancel it. We get the bill & for that one line came to an additional $121.00 Of course now I'm mad at the fact that JASON lied a few times. When I went in to speak with someone at the store right away insurance was removed that was lie #1. We were told we should come back & speak with the manager, and her work schedule was the same as mine. So, I had to take off early to make it there before she left. Lie#2 the phone was NOT free. I was given the phone # to their loyalty customer service mind u the person adding a line to her service for me is a 15yr customer never late paying her bill. As of now were waiting on a call back. No wonder JASON was wanting us to do the review before we left the store. Did he know what the outcome would be?

ATT has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever! They sell you a plan, they lie, they over charge you for everything, then they come back with, Sorry we did not set up an installment plan like we promised. You now owe a $1000. Seriously? Absolutely the worst! I wish I never moved from T-Mobile.

AT&T had to give me one more go around of absolute CRAP before I fully left their company. They lost my phone # in transition to switching to Spectrum, saying that I only told them I wanted to cancel service, not switch service. That is 100% untrue. I told them that I needed my phone unlocked so I can switch phone companies since At&t is beyond over priced, their customer service is almost always below average, and I constantly get hung up on by them, or put on hold for longer than necessary to get an issue resolved. In order to get the number I have had for the past 19 years back, which was sent back into "phone space", they told me they had to run my credit to make sure I was eligible to receive that # again even though I was fully paid out with them, and had my payments automatically deducted and was never late on a bill. I have never been given such the run around by a company before. I am 100% done with AT&T, and recommend anyone else who has them to leave their joke of a company sooner than later. Document everything, every time you speak to their representatives, because they will change your story on you, and try to turn their problem into your fault.

An AT&T worker was working on my neighbors Wi-Fi and cut my Wi-Fi completely off, when I called they sent out guys, none of which could fix it, then they said I had to wait for someone to come and dig, they said they'd come on 07/05, which was after I've been without Wi-Fi for 3 weeks. 7/5 came and went, no one called me, no one showed up. After calling and finally getting someone who knew what was happening, they said it'll be done on August 31st! They seem not care that I will have been without internet for almost 3 months. UNACCEPTABLE!

I left a little slimeball at the store lied to me and tell me that AT&T was way better than Verizon. I went from having 4G LTE with two bars at my house. They're having zero service at all. Now I'm stuck with AT&T because I didn't do my research and figure out that Verizon was going to charge me $1200 because of the phone and watch, plus the service bills I owe. So now I'm stuck with AT&T and can't go back to Verizon until I had them paid off and then AT&T is going to do the same thing with this phone and watch, I've had them for about six months now makes me want to bash my head into a wall, knowing I have another 30 months with the worst Service I've ever had. The best part about it is AT&T is $40 more a month FML.

One thing guaranteed about ATT is unreliable service and outright lies about coverage. Do not take ATT coverage maps at face value, in my case my old area of where I worked showed complete 5G coverage but the reality was only 4G with ATT explaining "map discrepancies" used as an excuse.
Personally I had much better service with a prepaid service and MUCH less cost.

So the woman from the AT&T the store located at 31 East 17 St New York did a tacky and ghetto job transferring my devices from Verizon to this provider. She had four lines I was not using which caused this huge mess! I couldn't use my IPad I was locked out my phones had the wrong SIM card in the IPad just trash service and it's been that way up until 10 minutes ago when God sent Lisa from the Midwest wiped everything clean and got my service up and running. From the dusty AT&T reps on Fulton St with they no having service in the store to the phone rep Charles/John who took an hour just to figure out the the SIM card wasn't activated the whole process of trying to transfer has been raggedy. But Bless Lisa who in less than 40 minutes solved the problem!

I've been fed nothing but lies. I was told that my rewards could be used to cover their exorbitant startup fees. Lie! Could never get their site to work even when given step-by-step from three reps. Got one rep who was working on it for two weeks. Naturally - that is the time of you 14-day trial when you can no longer back out. My plan started Jan.19, and was told that since I was told to accept one of the rewards for one line over a week ago, and work on the other line as a virtual reward later only to be told by a manager from the rewards department today that I couldn't get a virtual reward since I had agreed to accept a reward by mail for my first line that my second lline must also be awarded by mail. And although both lines have now been approved they have not been mailed! I was also quoted a monthly cost for my two phone lines of $154 and WiFi of $35 for a total by of $189 which now is showing $246! I have literally spent 24 hours on the phone with different reps - not to mention going to two different stores over the rewards and my bill only to be told that they couldn't help me and was referred back to customer care and the Loyalty Retevntion department. Three weeks on the phone totaling 24 hours trying to get some resolution, only to find out today March 4th that it was known all along that I wouldn't be able to redeem either one of my rewards to pay my bill as I was promised. I was also told not to worry about late fees as they would be removed under my circumstances. Again a lie! Every time I would speak with a rep, I would get differing information about my account. In my opinion AT&T is by far the absolute worst communications carrier I have ever dealt with in my life, and I plan to do everything in my power to seek retribution for their unfair and corrupt businesses practices! Stay away from them - They are nothing but liars!

I signed up for Fiber Optic Cabling over a month when the sales representative signed me up for services. Yet, ATT doesn't know how to communicate with their engineering department to know of when it is actually available. Next the technician comes I would say on January 23 and he tells me that ATT will have to follow up when the engineering aspects are available in the neighborhood. Basically a full week went by and no response nothing. Then called and should be scheduled for installation on Feb 2th, then again I was told it won't be scheduled till Feb 9th, then today on Feb 13th which I took 1/2 day off of work twice now. Moreover, 1 hr into the installation time I was called again by the Resolution Department and told it will not be available till Feb 23rd which I have already lost my internet by switching and the miscommunication of ATT. These experiences are not justified and they have a really exhausting experience on the side of the customer. They also need better communication with the Sales Team practice along with the Engineering Team to be successful. It will be over a 1 1/2 months after the situation of being told I purchased the Fiber Optic Cable Internet while losing my regular internet and being told to switch. Very unprofessional and want to be contacted about upper management on this process.
