I have repeatedly had problems with the WOBURN MASSACHUSETTS store manager who has always given me a hard time each and every time I need to do a return. But this last time went WAY out of control and overboard. He literally threw me out of the store and threatened to call the police if I ever returned and told his employees to do the same. When I complained about this most hostile, unjustified and reprehensible conduct by that rotten manager toward me, the upper management took over a week to respond to my complaint and then quickly transferred the case to an "INTERNAL MATTER" in order to deliberately HIDE the offenses committed against me by this store manager. Ultimately the upper management provided me with absolutely NO SATISFACTION, kept this manager in their employ, to my shock and surprise, and never made any effort whatsoever to correct the problem in any way, shape or form that was ever conveyed to me. It clearly explains why AutoZone has among the WORST RATINGS on the internet. I will NEVER, EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING IN ANY AUTOZONE STORE EVER AGAIN, EVER! And I would recommend to anyone else reading this review to do the same. They deserve to be put out of business for the way they mistreat and ABUSE CUSTOMERS. I noted through my research, that many other customers have had similar BAD EXPERIENCES at many AutoZone Stores which explains why they quickly hide these complaints under the rug and call them "Internal" matters. What a JOKE!
I had to replace the tail light assembly on my Honda van. While I was at it I wanted to change the light bulbs in both left and right tail lights. There's 2 different lights in each assembly. The brake light which is white and the turn signal light which is amber color. Being a painting contractor and not an electrical mechanic I bought everything I was told I was needed. I was sold an extra set of brake lights I didn't need. The turn signal lights were not amber lights which they have to be because the lens is clear. Also an extra packet of light bulb grease for the sockets. I didn't even use the entire first one. So at this point my time has been wasted. I go back to the store with the tools and a different associate helps me by actually looking at the vehicle himself. He knew what he was doing and talking about. So I get the right bulbs. I returned the extra brake light bulbs and packet of grease. Then the original associate who sold me the wrong bulbs and extra bulbs and wasted my time was trying to charge me for the amber bulbs again which I had already paid for but they were white in color. When I pointed this FACT out he got a patronizing tone and said to 'Have a nice day'. It sounds nice here doesn't it? There's these things called 'tone' & 'voice inflection' and any adult that speaks English recognizes it when it's phony. I'm not some hick just off the farm. This guy wastes my time, wants me to pay for something I already paid for then because he blew it tries to make me the bad guy? It doesn't work like that. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the other associate was a help and didn't waste my time. A 30 minute project - that's with going to and from the store one time. Turns into over an hour because of that guy. There's entirely too many places to get parts for my vehicle than to ever deal with garbage like this again. These days GOOD customer service is what keeps businesses afloat and BAD service breaks businesses. Good prices don't mean much without it.
About 8 months ago I bought a battery for my in-laws car that by AZ was a H7-DLG and I told the rep I want it something better than that and he indicated me a H8-DLG with is 900CCA vs 800CCA and I was told that battery has a 36 months warranty. Last week the battery died so I jump start the car, drove it to AZ parking lot and remove the battery on the parking lot. Took battery inside and for my surprise I was told that the battery on my account was an H7 and not the H8 so they can't get me any warranty and to test the battery I had to wait for an hour. I am so disappointed with the service that as long I remember this I won't get into any AZ store...
Tierra and Hazel greeted and helped me Johnny on the spot and know their stuff, will be coming back for all my auto part needs
I recently visited an Autozone store in Clinton, Iowa. I was talking with the saleswoman about the warranty on Duralast Gold brake pads for a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. She read off all the features and the parts that are included in the brake kit. When she mentioned the kit includes electronic brake pad sensors, I stopped her and asked if she is looking at the right parts. She flipped the computer screen around and showed me. It says on the computer screen the brake pad kit includes electronic brake pad sensors. I told her she should remove that description from the pad listing. She asked why. I told her a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo does not have electronic brake pad sensors. She got huffy puffy with me and told me I did not know what I was talking about. She went back to the shelves and retrieved the pads. Before opening the box, I told her if there was electronic brake pad sensors in that kit, I will give her $100 cash. She opens the box. Four pads and a bag of mounting shims, no sensors. She takes out a pad, unwraps it and shows me the friction material. I told her that has no electronic components on it and a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not have electronic brake pad sensors, I should know, I rebuilt the front of that Jeep and know everything about it. She still insisted I don't know what I am talking about. I told her, Taco Bell is hiring, you should apply for a job there.
I'll never go back to that store, they hire morons who have never been under a vehicle.
Have a 2020 Dulast battery needing testing to ensure charges are holding. Had son took it off his car- drove in to get it tested at store #*******.
Rep state battery will need to be fully charge before they can run diagnostic test, son is to leave battery and pickup later. This was at 9am: called at 4pm asked if battery is ready, rep says yes. Asked if battery was tested, rep said yes. Picked up battery- installed in car, same issue(low battery- not enough cranking amperage) hooked battery up to home charger- battery is dead- called back store and was told" well, if someone said they would charge it and test it? I can only assume it was" this is the second time this has happened. Do ppl ever do what they say anymore? How hard is it to hook it up and let it charge? Last time it was said no charging can be done at night- reason why the battery didnt get charge like said. Just do your job! Or let the person know to take their battery home and charge it themselves. Terrible waste of time. Use to be great customer service- now worst then Oreily. Disappointed!
On January 16,2024, I purchased a muffler and an exhaust gasket from AutoZone.com and paid an extra $4.99 for 2-day delivery.
Problem #1: The muffler was late, arriving on January 19.
Problem #2: The muffler is dented, which came as no surprise considering that it came in no package whatsoever, just a muffler wrapped in a little plastic—not even bubble wrap.
Problem #3: The two muffler support arms, which get installed through hanger holes, do not bulge at their ends, leaving the support arms at risk of sliding out of the hangers.
Problem #4: While I was waiting for the exhaust gasket to arrive so I could fix my car, I was using the only other vehicle that I own: a motorcycle. But coming home every day with hands that were nearly frostbitten left me with little choice but to reuse an old gasket of mine and install AutoZone's muffler, which I did on January 23. (I had to rig the muffler support arms with thick zip-ties to reduce the risk that the arms slid out of the hanger holes.)
Problem #5: On January 25, I called AutoZone customer service number and spoke to a "Louis." When I told him I wanted my $5.60 back for the gasket that never came, he told me that he could not issue me a refund and that he must "submit a request" for one because my order for the gasket was "special." Dumbfounded, I asked him what made my order so. He replied that what made my order special was that it was coming from Memphis. Say what? AutoZone's headquarters are in Memphis—headquarters, by the way, that it would take me all of three hours to drive to from the address that the gasket was supposed to be delivered to. Louis might as well have told me that my order was special because his favorite color is blue. So I told him he needed to have my $5.60 credited back to my card within "a few days."
I waited until February 1 to see if AutoZone had credited my card, and they had not. So that day I wrote and mailed a letter of complaint to their headquarters in Memphis, telling them what happened and that I wanted my $5.60 credited back to my card by the close of business on February 14.
Well, we are now one full week past that date, and I still don't have my $5.60 back (or the new gasket, which I ordered over a month ago and which of course is useless to me to now).
Such magnificent service from Trey at the Caledonia location. He serviced and changed my car battery with such expertise. Thanks again kindly! :)
I PUT MY VIN IN DIDNT CHANGE WHAT I HAD SELECTED FOR SPECS.
TURNS OUT IT WAS WRONG. I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS A 2WD. I HAD AWD IN THERE. SO WHEN I ORDERED THEM I THOUGHT OH NO I ORDERED THEM INCORRECTLY. SO WHEN I PICKED THEM UP AND EXCHANGE THEM. SO WHEN I WENT TO HAVE THEM INSTALLED THEY WERE WRONG. WENT THERE AND EXCHANGED THEM AGAIN AND LOST THE DISCOUNT FOR THE PACKAGE DEAL. SO EXTREMELY NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT. I TRIED TO CONTACTTHE EMAIL FOR THE ORDER NO RESPONSE! I TRIED CHAT NO RESPONSE! SO TODAY I TRIED AND I USED THE WORD SUCK AND IT WAS CONSIDERED FOUL SO HE ENDED MY CHAT? THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! ONLINE SHOULD NOT EXIST IF THEY GIVE OUT INCORRECT INFORMATION AND DONT EVEN BOTHER HELPING YOU.
Ordered parts on May 10,2022. Order was cancelled by Auto Zone on May 12th, I resubmitted the order on May 16th, on May 17th I received an email stating order was delayed. Then received an email that my order was shipped on May 20th. I spoke with USPS on May 23rd, and USPS has received NOTHING from Auto Zone to come to my address. Auto Zone continues to blame USPS, I am sorry but I believe a government run program over a back yard redneck auto parts dealer. Totally useless company. They need to go in partners with NAPA(Never Any Parts Available)
They are quick and on target. I will go back and tell others about your store. It's easy to see why they are at the top of the parts world.
I go to AutoZone buy all the parts to redo my front end of my truck have tires put on alignment and I don't even make it home my tie rod comes out I hit a walnut tree in my driveway thank God I was in my driveway or I would have probably killed myself or someone else. Then I'm taking all the information that I need to give them cuz I was under the impression if they was going to fix it I have a little blonde here lady tell me get the $#*! out of her store don't ever $#*!ing come back and with that being said I'm in line at the store the other night and I hear a couple safe that's the guy that she told to get the $#*! out of her store wrong totally wrong you don't talk to your customers that way especially after you sell them a faulty carport I've been without a truck for two and a half months and they say they ain't going to do nothing about it how's that possible a tie rod just doesn't fall out does anybody have any comments on this cuz I think it's bull crap they are responsible they sold me the part that I haven't even been refunded for you I called today he says where you going to bring the part in he's had the part cuz he had to send it in to see why it failed but I don't get reimbursed for I'm already getting screwed out of my truck because of AutoZone I guess I'll have to just hire my attorneys myself don't get nothing done they won't do nothing get my attorneys on it something to happen. Just alone one of their employees telling me to get the $#*! out of their store and don't ever $#*!ing come back and the lady still has a job unacceptable
Received package damaged contacted AutoZone where very quick to respond resolved issue very quickly very satisfied with result
I went for wiper blades and Raj took care of me. He not only double checked but he installed them for me and would not accept a tip
The workers that work here are a great help they are so helpful and they are generous I will come back here
2009 toyota tacoma 28'" wiper blades to large I told clerk was charged for return online order misplaced
Had bad experience there... But, there's more improvement can be done. Staff seems too busy, service quite inefficient, price is a bit high.
Rodolfo, Josh and John diagnosed issue. Found part. Explained in detail about how to fix. 100% helpful
Answer: Nope. Bunch of ameteurs. Even their oil and windshield wiper fluid is way overpriced. If you want your order to be fulfilled correctly, them go somewhere else. Amazon is too incompetent to handle even basic orders placed via their app. Customer service list tells you "Oh well". Pathetic.
Answer: It's not too hard to find someone working inside Autozone. What's hard to find in Autozone is someone who doesn't argue with a person who is qualified to work on practically every vehicle and knows what they're talking about. I guess that being a computer jockey makes them a certified mechanic.
Answer: If not in any particular hurry, I prefer to wait for 3-5 days to get my auto parts which was ordered on Hexautoparts. Com. They has lowest price with the most cooperative customer service. I saved a lot of money with HexAutoParts.
AutoZone has a rating of 1.8 stars from 317 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with AutoZone most frequently mention customer service, next day and store manager. AutoZone ranks 801st among Auto Parts sites.
