My mom was thrilled with her bouquet. She's very finicky and she was happy! Beautiful vase as well!

After reading multiple poor reviews I tried to cancel my order and was told I would be charged an 18.00 inconvenience fee. The rep then hung up on us, and the flowers were delivered anyway despite the cancellation. Ordering for out of state, I didn't know they weren't local, and contracted with local florists as a service. I found and contacted some real local shops in the area who confirmed that Avas was a scam. Specifically, that Avas will overcharge the customer for an arrangement and order a much cheaper one through a
Local florist, pocketing the difference. That they use taxi cabs to deliver arrangements, and the local florists dislike working with them. The florist told me the names of tje three local shops I could call to find out what was really sent. I found out that my bouquet was processed through a Safeway. I called the store and found out my close to 100.00 purchase netted a $50.00 arrangement, Safeway said they added some additional flowers for free, knowing that Avas shortchanged me and because with what Avas paid them, It wasn't possible to meet my expectations.
I was unable to cancel my charge by contacting my credit card, as they require that the charge post first, before opening an investigation. It's unlikely to work in this case because they did in fact get something delivered And the excess charge is easy to bury in a a situation like this, There will be a disclaimer that the substitutions are acceptable, etc.

Easy solution is to google the name of a local shop and call them directly. The shop will want to uphold their reputation and there will be no broker fees added. More for your money, and accountability if something goes wrong. Very unhappy customer Please save your money!

First off, when you call them, their phone messaging says that they are a local family owned florist. They are not. They are based out of New Jersey and contract with florists all over the country.
We placed an order for delivery in Stroudsburg PA with them over the phone because we had a question about the picture. The person on the phone suggested that we place the order with him over the phone because "it will be picked up quicker" than online orders. He assured us that the arrangement would be delivered on the date we requested, the day before Christmas Eve. We had explained to him that they needed to be delivered that day because we didn't know if the recipient would be home the next day. He said that it wouldn't be a problem. Late in the afternoon of the day they were to be delivered, we called to verify that they would indeed be delivered that day. They informed us that "all of the florists are very busy and we could not find one to complete your order on the day you requested". It was then that we learned that Avas Flowers is not a local family owned business. The person on the phone said that they would have the order completed the next day, Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve morning we get a text saying that it was urgent that we call them. This time they tell us that, not only could the arrangement not be delivered before Christmas, but that it would not be delivered until 2 days after Christmas. And again, they said that they called all of the florists in the Scranton area. Yet, they charged our credit card. We had to cancel the order and are waiting to see if they credit back our money. They sent us an email stating that the refund would take up to 10 days to be credited back to our card. However, after reading several other reviews, I have no faith that they will refund our money without a fight.
Never do business with them.

First, you should know that this is not a local company even though their website makes it look that way--they call other florists to deliver your order locally. Save yourself some money and look up the name of an actual local florist and call them to place an order. If you are ordering from a website, be sure to verify the address of the business. Ava's Flowers is located in NJ.

Flowers we ordered online did not look at all like the flowers delivered. $49.99 flowers with free delivery turned into an extra $20 in various fees plus tax. We ordered an arrangement with at least these flowers visible: 3 pink roses, 3 carnations, 8 white tea/spray roses and at least 5 pink tea/spray roses, greenery including ferns & eucalyptus leaves, all in a glass vase. The arrangement was very pretty and filled the vase nicely. The recipient received 5 roses (3 pink, 2 white) and 3 carnations with greenery in a glass vase. It was awful! Barely any flowers. No way did this look like a $50 arrangement plus the $20 in fees! Called on a Saturday as soon as I saw a photo of the flowers, which was the day after the delivery, to complain. Their automated phone system disconnected me because I didn't know the order number even though it asked me if I was calling about the delivery to "Her First & Last Name" in "The City". Figured I had to wait till Monday when someone would be there to answer and so I could get the exact order number which was at my work office. (SEE PHOTO OF $76+ ARRANGEMENT WITH 5 ROSES & 3 CARNATIONS.)

Various emails exchanged on Monday and they say I waited to long to call... they have a 24 hour rule. What?! Their system say goodbye to me and hung up, plus the recipient didn't notify me of the delivery until the next day anyway. Finally reached someone in CS but was told the same things. The 2 extra roses were substitutes for the spray roses. They would give me a $10 credit to use in the future. Not acceptable. I don't want to shop here ever again. I just want an appropriate bouquet sent out. They wouldn't work with me at all. Bunch of jerks. I even sent photos of what I ordered vs. what I received to no avail. I could have bought these flowers and a vase for under $10 (I'm being generous). Ridiculous! FYI: I am a very reasonable person and easy to deal with. I'm cancelling the order on my credit card. Total rip off!

There are plenty of other places to shop. I strongly suggest you go elsewhere.

On April 7,2020 I ordered 4 different arrangements to be delivered to 4 important people in my life for Easter. The first three deliveries went fine and the recipients were happy with their arrangements. The photos I received showed nice arrangments and pretty close to what was on the website. All were to be delivered on April 9,2020. My sister in SC did not receive her order and I began calling Avas. It was extremely difficult to get a human to talk to. The first time I opted to get a call back instead of being on hold. When the call came I answered and pressed the keypad number corresponding to my issued and was immediately disconnected! I tried several more times to call and finally got a customer rep and she said she would have to contact the designer and put me on hold. There was no response from the designer and I was told that as soon as they reached the designer I'd get a callback. Nope... never happened. I sent two emails for which I have never received a response. I began the same run around on April 9th, only to be told once again that they had to contact the designer who was not responding. At that point, I asked to cancel the order and told her I would not use them again with my floral needs.! The young woman told me they could not cancel the order guess why... because they couldn't reach the designer! I asked for a partial refund... no can do, but "we can give you a $20 credit." And how would this be good since I just told her I would never order from them again? The recipient finally got her flowers late this afternoon and sent me a picture. I know there is a substitution policy, which I completely understand, but the arrangement was not anything like what I ordered. It was a cheap-looking arrangement with no effort whatsoever put into it. I am thoroughly disgusted with what was sent. I paid a good price for this arrangement and I could have easily called directly to a florist in SC. The arrangement was very generic not a good representation of an Easter arrangement at all. I ordered the Spring centerpiece with no candle and the right side photo was what was sent.

I ordered flowers for my 30th wedding anniversary and was guaranteed delivery on the 14th of July. After numerous inquiries regarding the status on my order, which is done thru an automated phone service, I was told that I would receive an email or text stating the status of my delivery. After several attempts to get the status (with no notification either by email or text) I called the customer support line. At the end of countless redirects on the automated phone system I received a recording that deliveries were not being made due to "Non Binary Person Day" and that live person customer support would not be available until the next day. On the morning of the 15th I called to state my dissatisfaction with the non delivery but was told that the delivery was made (apparently this statement was made by the delivery driver) by 7pm on the 14th and there was not a problem. I then proceeded too inform the customer support individual my dissatisfaction with this whole problem and was informed all they could do is refund $20 for my problems. After reviewing my security camera footage and seeing the delivery man on my doorstep the morning of the 15th, the customer support individual then proceeded to tell me that due to high volume, the delivery could not be made by 7pm on the 14th and that it was indeed made on the 15th (strange that it was admitted after I could show proof that it was in fact not delivered on time). After spending $40 for guaranteed delivery and service and proving that services were not completed as promised and as guaranteed, this to me is a slap in the face along with extreme anger being blatantly lied too about the service not to mention the floral arrangement was wilted and of poor quality. Whatever ever you do, do not trust this company with any type of quality service or product. You will not be extremely unhappy and frustrated with the end result.

PISSED OFF
May 21, 2021

I ORDERED FLOWERS TO BE SENT TO MY EMPLOYEE AFTER SURGERY AND ORDERED THEM AT 10 AM AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD BE THERE TODAY. THEN RECEIVED A TEXT THAT THERE WAS A ISSUE AND HAVE NOW BEEN ON HOLD FOR OVER A HOUR TO BE TOLD THAT THEY WERE NOT ACCEPTABLE AND THAT THEY WANTED TO UPGRADE THEM AND NOW WOULD NOT BE SENT TILL TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. AFTER REQUESTING MY MONEY TO BE RETURNED TO ME OVER A DOZEN TIMES I STILL AM NOT GETTING IT RETURNED TO ME I HAVE BEEN TALKED OVER AND INTERUPTED TOLD THAT ALL THE FLOWER SHOPS ARE CLOSED AT THIS TIME AND IT IS ONLY 3 PM HERE I AM THINKING THEY ARE ON THE EAST COAST AND I REQUESTED A LOCAL FLOWER SHOP IN THE SAME TOWN WHERE THEY WERE TO BE DELIVERED I AM VERY ANGERY AND THAT THEY WOULD NOT LISTEN OR HONOR MY REQUEST TO REFUND MY MONEY TO MY CARD AND CANNOT FULFILL MY REQUEST. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED FROM A FLORAL SHOP. I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND THEN TO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANOTHER CUSTOMER IN THIS MANNER. I WAS TOLD THAT MY MONEY WAS RETURNED AND THAT IT WOULD BE RETRUNED 73.00 AND IT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED TO MY ACCOUNT I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT IN THE BBB FOR DELIWARE.
