After I purchased few items. The items is shown to be out of stock but the website still shows the items available. Due to this unprofessional experience, I will no longer shop at Belk.
Makes you pay for returns and oh by the way, you have to pay for shipping too. One of the worst policies ever. Will be last time I buy from these clowns.
As other customers have mentioned, the customer service and website leave a lot to be desired. I tried to place an order yesterday morning, but the website was malfunctioning. Finally, I got the order placed last night, but within 5 minutes I got 3 confirmations of the order with three different order numbers. The customer service department was closed, and since I didn't have an account, I couldn't cancel the order within the 1 hour window. This morning I talked to customer service twice. The first gentleman said they were still having computer issues, but he took down my information and the order numbers and was going to try to get 2 of the three cancelled. I didn't hear back from him. I finally called again and got an employee that tried to place the blame on me. Hey, I'm not in charge of the website! I spoke to her supervisor who was of no help. Bottom line: all three orders have been charged to my credit card and have shipped. Now, I will not get a refund until my daughter returns the 2 unwanted orders. This is crazy! I get charged for merchandise that was ordered due to a glitch in their system. Yes, this is the last order I will ever place with this company. They must have so much business that taking care of customers is just not a priority any more. What a shame. I have been a life-long customer, but I will not be one again. So Long, Belk.
My wife and i had an anniversary so we went shopping at the Belk store at Coastal Mall Myrtle Beach, SC. This is our hometown store. We viewed jewelry. My wife liked a ring that was Diamond and Opal. I asked her to do her shopping in the womens clothes. She knows I dont particularly care for dragging behind her as she sweeps thru clothes racks. I went back to jewelry and asked them what the bottom line price was. They told me and held the ring for me. I then told them that I would come back in a few days to purchase.In returning I had an ad from another store that was advertising the exact same ring for 5% less. Yes I said 5%. The store so called Manager. I believe his name is Brandon. Unfriendly, Cold and the worst experiece dealing with any in a store. I explained to him the price difference. All I was reading from him is that I was putting him out or disturbing him. Worst manager ever. Who is crazy enough to put a person like this in such a nice store as manager. He would not AT ALL accomodate pricing or anything in purchasing the ring. I told him to keep his ring and left. I then cancelled my belk credit card. The only reason I applied for the card was for the discount. My family friends or I will NEVER shop at belk again. Horrible experience and bad management.
I was VERY upset today to see that my Belk account had decreased my credit limit... FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN they didn't like something on my credit file from other creditors.
My credit with others is in great standing and current. My car was stolen recently and insurance has deemed it totalled and has paid my lender as will the Gap insurance.
That would be the only thing that I could see that they could nitpick. My obligations with other creditors and how I pay them is NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS. I will put reviews on every major review site that I come to from now on. I've always been on time and have great credit with Synchrony Bank and Belk. For you to decrease my credit limit and FURTHER DAMAGE MY CREDIT is just sickening.
I will NEVER SHOP AT BELK AGAIN! You have gotten the last money from me that you will ever get.

Relatively new in town, I stopped in at Belk in Leesburg. I had received a coupon which read 20% off regular or sales marked items. I spent about 45 minutes browsing the store and tried on several items. After settling on a pair of shoes and a couple polo shirts I proceeded to the cashier and presented my coupon. She informed me that the coupon wasn't good on doorbusters. I was not aware that these items were a " doorbuster" but I told her that I came and and the coupon had said 20% off sales items.
She pointed out that terms were on the back of the coupon, showing me the tiniest pront i had ever seen.
I told her i couldnt read that with ny glasses.
She responded "what do you want, a poster!"
That was my first and last visit to belks

Associate Andrea from Ladies Shoe Department was the most Rude, Bulgar, Intimidated person. Yelling at me from the Register to go and get the shoes I wanted to try, speaking and laughing with another associate making me feel bullied.
All clients looked at me and I was so embarrassed and confused / scared and i bought only 1 par of Sandals thanks to Shanna who took over, apologize for her behavior and help, I was alone and she made feel horrible until my husband arrived and took me out of there
I could not find a Manager to complaint a that moment

I WAS TOLD BY CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT MY ITEMS WOULD ARRIVE BY FRIDAY SINCE I WAS LEAVING FOR MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION ON SATURDAY ONLY TO DISCOVER MY ITEMS WOULD BE SHIPPED 4 DAYS LATER THAN PROMISED I LATER FOUND OUT REASON WHY ITEMS ARE COMING FROM THREE DIFFERENT WAREHOUSES. I WAS BILLED IMMEDIATELY FOR ITEMS. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK IF I COULD SPEED UP MY SHIPPING TOLD "NO" BY SUPERVISOR BOB ALTHOUGH I WAS LIED TO BY A REPRESENTATIVE WHEN I PLACED THE 200.00 ORDER. ASKED IF I COULD CANCEL MY ORDER, "NO" YOU GOT TO RECEIVE ALL ITEMS THEN TAKE THEM BACK TO A LOCAL STORE. IT SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF POLICY WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS IF YOU NEED ITEMS SOONER. NEVER AGAIN... I AM STILL ENJOY MY BIRTHDAY BUT NEVER SHOP ON LINE AT BELKS AGAIN.
They don't wont to give me a refund for my 119$! Per our phone conversation they said they are only going to give me 19,19 $. I regret for not reading the review of this company before!
I love everything about belk.com. Their items, the layout, and the customer service representatives. The only gripe I could have is that sometimes the website bogs down, but it's close to their peak season, so I cannot blame them for that. :) I LOVE BELK AND WILL ORDER FROM THEM FOREVER!

Customer service is terrible. Only 2 or 3 registers open. The lines are very long. Also I believe the quality of the clothes are as good as belk once offered.

Ordered some Lee jeans online. I was a bogo offer with a gift card. Got ONE pair of jeans at the regular price. Spent over 30 minutes on the phone with someone who complicated the issue by NOT LISTENING! I'm returning the jeans, WILL GET MY BOGO and will be done with Belk online for good!
They sent a set of towels "Modern Southern Home" bath towel, hand towel and washcloth that were very nice. When you reorder they send you the same brand of towel but the new ones are thinner, very cheaply made and feel more like sandpaper! They said they were "on sale" they also said buy 2 get 3 free but they only sent 2 sets! I'M DONE WITH THIS COMPANY!
My experience was not a good one at all what so ever. I was at the counter at Clinique waiting and waiting and waiting. Did I mention that on a Sun - a busy shopping day they were understaffed obviously... The new sales lady was doing her best with the broken equipment ( register) which I waited and waited and waited on a receipt which I never got because the Mgr In duty was too busy to stop and help this new lady out. So we walked out with no receipt. I hope I won't need to return anything, and probably won't but, was I charged correctly? Because nothing was working... UGH! Come on Belk. You can afford new computers or at least ones that work and print receipts as well. And it had been doing this all day as stated the lady working. She was using another counter to check people out. Point of this review Weekends need more staff and Belk needs to upgrade and fix Clinique counter registers in MT. Juliet Tn location. And MgMt was no help and had a very POOR and uninterested as well as a passive attitude. Products here are pricey. I expect better service at a store that I spend significant amounts of money at monthly.
It seems like every single time I go and Belk at Hamilton place. I am followed around and treated like a criminal. I've had it they can have their junk. I can shop somewhere else and save my money.!
They stole my money and never responded to several emails regarding my product. NEVER received my product. Then the credit card I used to pay for it had weird charges on it this company is fraud!

I ordered some moisturizer for my beard. I receive an email saying my order has shipped. When I went to check the tracking number FedEx says they will update when the package arrives to them. It is been 3 weeks almost since I got the shipped email and FedEx still says nothing ya been received. I spoke with FedEx and they said the label was printed but they never got the package.
I have tried to reach Bell by phone to no success. I did wait on hold today (5/14/20) and was able to get someone on the phone. But as soon as they picked they said "Oh you're still there?" And then hung up the line. So basically I waited on hold for 52 minutes and still am in the same position.
I don't know if they have sent the package and think the order is been completed or if they are still waiting to deliver to FedEx.
I submitted a ticket online and they said someone would reach out to me in 5-7 business days but it could be longer.
So I don't know.
