I bought caskets for each of my parents and I couldn't have been happier. Both arrived next day as advertised and we save $3000 to $4000 on each.

Also the funeral home only showed us 8 models and BestPriceCaskets.com had over 300 models.

They also told us what to say to the funeral home to get a lower price on the services.

I am surprised about the negative reviews. I wonder if they are from funeral homes or other online casket competitors?

This company does not honor their website. I selected a casket and called. I wish i had gotten the name of the sales person. During the ordering process I gave them my zipcode. He put me on hold and when he came back he said that they weren't going to make any money on this one and they couldn't honor the free shipping advertised on their website. I live in 2.5 hrs from Portland, OR a major shipping hub. He said they would need to charge me for the shipping and started throwing figures between $100 and $340 around.

When I suggested they remove the "free ground shipping" statement from their website he got rude and said things like "yeah we should put that if you live in upper Maine it's going to cost you" and other sarcastic remarks. I was floored.

Look elsewhere if customer service means anything to you. Their website talks about how the funeral homes gouge customers. Yet they go and attempt to do the same thing.

Call to get a price for shipping a casket. The guy was very rude kept cutting me off. When I ask why there was a charge for ground shipping, which the website said there wasn't any charge, the guy said I thought you said someone was dying. The free ground shipping is 10 days. He then said "look, we charge $1095 for our 18 ga caskets a funeral home will charge $5000 for the same casket, DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN THAT TO YOU" Can you believe that. I ask him for his manager, after some choice woods from me and he hung up the phone. I called back about 10 minutes later and it was him again. This time he just laid the phone down. How awful to be treated like this at one of the worst times of your life.

The website says on the checkout page that free shipping is 6 to 10 days. He wanted to argue with that. Checkout clearly says $190 to fly + $60 courier if within 50 miles of a major airport. I don't know what he is arguing about.
Free shipping 6-10 days
Fast trucking can be 1 or 5 days depending on location.
Next day Flight+Courier if within 50 miles of airport $190+60=$250
Next day Flight+Courier if OVER 50 miles of airport $190+ 1.3/mile
If a customer is more interested in arguing than giving us time to explain then I guess we can't help them.

After ordering from Best Price Caskets, we waited for days to have our casket delivered and received a phone call from them that the casket had been delayed due to weather. We asked them how long it would be till it was delivered and they said it couldn't make it in time for our services! We then cancelled our order and ordered from Costco Caskets and found a comparable model at http://www.casketsite.com/caskets_costco.htm
The Costco Casket showed up quickly within two days in time for our service! Definitely recommend ordering a casket as early as possible to avoid any non-delivery chances!

THis is an advertisement from our competitor casketsite. He has very few caskets to pick from and he is jealous of our 650 models, lower prices and better faster service so he sent this FAKE review. Notice how he gives you his web site address above. Casketsite is not Costco. Costco only has 9 models and we have 650 models. Who sells all the caskets.

Don't BUY ANYTHING from them the salesman Terry is rude and an inconsiderate prick he had the nerves to call me and call me stupid $#*! and an idiot. Because I called and ask about their shipping prices and then advised him I would research other sites to cancel my order. The nerve of him telling me im not in mourning. If this company was near me I would visit him...

We sell 400 caskets every week. This person was being a jerk and then claimed they were in morning. People in morning are soft spoken, heart broken and act overwhelmed. This person was a jerk and not in morning. They have to buy elsewhere.

If we sell 400 caskets per week x 4 weeks/month is 1600 caskets and get one bad review and they didn't even buy. Notice that the 1600 that buy from us per month are not complaining. No we don't have to sell to them.

The sales representative I encountered at this company was simply an obnoxious bully, one who is obviously in the wrong profession. On 12-11-2020 I attempted to place an order at this company's website. When the credit card fields kept disappearing after selecting the type card I intended to use I called to place the order by phone. Quite to my surprise, I was not connected to a kind, sympathetic, helpful sales representative - quite to the contrary. Instead, I was literally berated by who I believed was an employee, but later discovered is the owner. Nevertheless, he was bent on doing everything they could to close the business. The text message I received (attached) is evidence of that.

It does not matter what product I was interested in purchasing. This sales person was keen on evoking my anger. He insulted me, badgered me, belittled me, pronounced false aspersions and expletives no rationale, moderately intelligent, and considerate person would cast on any customer! How this business is allowed to assert a rating, let along display the Better Business Bureau logo, is an affront to every other business that does. This sales person should not be allowed to speak to customers. If he is the owner, I extend my congratulations. From what I've read since this experience, he is doing an excellent job narrowing his customer base, shielding the business from sales growth.

As for a desired outcome, I want absolutely nothing from this business. I have no illusions of a sincere, cogent apology or anything resembling a truthful response. I have already ordered a casket from another company and expect to bury my mother without needless drama.

I understand we're going through a difficult time with this pandemic, but empathy should be used for this line of business. The first time I called inquiring about a casket, customer service was GREAT! However when I called to get an update on the casket because it was not delivered the next day as advised, a gentleman answers the phone rudely, advised he wasn't in front of his computer, stated if I receive an email the information was there; placed me on hold and asked was all my questions answered before I could advised the email's information was unconfirmed. I called back the next day to check again for the casket, it seemed as if he was the knot person working, he answers again rudely, as if I was bothering him & push it off to the courier. The invoice stated for the courier to call the family to meet him at the Funeral Home and he did not do that. My family and I was waiting for 3hrs from the time I called the courier and he stated he was an hour away. He just dropped off the casket without notification and when I tried to reach him he ignored the call twice! Their customer service skills need to be handle differently.

I ended up canceling my order with Best Price Caskets because they kept giving me the run around day after day telling me that the casket will be delivered. I gave them 5 business days in advance and after three days they still weren't sure if the casket had been shipped or it's status. I ended up canceling the order and ordered from another online company CasketSite.com that promised it the next day. I chose one of their least expensive models $690 from this page http://www.casketsite.com/caskets.htm and told them I needed it by 5pm the next day. The casket was delivered as scheduled and in perfect shape! I would use CasketSite.com again, but glad I planned the services far in the future as Best Price Casket Co disappointed...

At first I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews online. I called them anyway but didn't get an answer at first, so I started to research other vendors online. While researching they called my back. I spoke with Terry, who was very honest and straight forward. He deals with this every day so don't expect a sympathetic approach but he is definitely knowledgeable and honest and will answer all your questions. I was completely honest about my concerns with the company, letting him know I had read all the reviews. He went above and beyond to reassure me that we would get the casket we wanted, on time and without damage. Terry didn't let us down. My father was buried in the lovely casket we had hoped for. They quickly provided us with an invoice, we immediately recieved the confirmation emails of its shipment which included a tracking number that followed each step of the process until it arrived at the funeral home. I would totally recommend them to anyone. They understand the funeral business very well and will make suggestions but you just tell them what you want and they will do as you ask. Thank you for making this step of this difficult process a little easier for us.
