Biblio has a rating of 2.4 stars from 91 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Biblio most frequently mention customer service, and tracking number problems. Biblio ranks 6th among Used Books sites.
We regularly use Biblio.com and appreciate the personal service. The book which we purchased on this occasion was well described and arrived on time in good packaging. We would recommend their services.
I received DSM 5TR from these guys and I have had it for 4 months and all the pages are becoming loose and starting to fall out. I know of DSM's that have been clinical officers for years being used by entire teams and not be like this. I asked for replacement or refund and denied. Though it's clearly not made for purpose. Very disappointed
I complained that my book had never arrived and two minutes later my paypal account had been refunded.
Not their fault that my order never came, it was britbooks who supposedly sent it. Biblio was just the Agent who deals with the orders.
It took almost a month before I could get tracking information. When I messaged Biblio about the delay in shipping, I received an email response that had strange sentence structure (period and half words in the middle of a sentence) and was difficult to understand. UPS reported the package was delivered, but it was not. I set up a claim with UPS and they settled it as delivered, so now I am out $35+ with nothing but frustration to show for it.
Rec'd good service on Biblio until recently when book ordered was not delivered after several weeks. The seller apparently refused to provide tracking info, never replying to me or Biblio. Biblio refunded the purchase... And after doing that good deed the seller is still on their platform selling the book I ordered.
I didn't get the impression the lapse mattered at all to Biblio. It was just nothing... they sent me a link to buy the book i'd originally ordered that directed me to the same seller and the HIGHER priced book. So, do poor performers ever get sanctioned, or do they just keep selling books as if nothing happened? I could've reliably gotten the book in the first place from stinky Amazon... If there's a lesson here it may be that all independents aren't good or worth the trouble of supporting.
I expedited my book and it still came after the time. It put me behind on school work. I am very disappointed at this as I paid extra to make sure it would arrive in time.
Do not use this site if you don't have to.
Their sellers lie about book conditions. One of their sellers sent me a bogus tracking number and never sent the book. Waited over a month and finally had to threaten to dispute directly through Paypal to get a refund. They use a third party review system that automatically filters out the negative feedback and reviews posted. They even block facebook reviews. Don't trust them.
If you buy membership to reduce the cost of a purchase and they cancel the order, you won't get a refund on the membership. Just don't buy anything from Biblio at all. Because no one needs to feel so stressed! This is actually meant to be ZERO stars.

Ordered a book for a gift. Received notice that my order was cancelled because they couldn't get a response from the book seller. This left me very little time to make other arrangements. After additional searches and two additional rare book websites, I still have no idea if I will receive the book I want. At best, this site and others like it, have a huge problem with advertising items that can actually be delivered. At worst, they are scams. Unless you have months to deal with these sites, don't waste your time.
I ordered a book from an author on the day he died. The website and the bookseller did not fulfill my order and took 5 days to notify me. Now a book which had multiple copies for under $30 on the Internet is more than $150. It feels more that coincidental to me.
Right before Christmas, when time is short, it took four days for some one to notice that the book I had ordered was not in stock, even though it was listed on Biblio. This has created a problem for me, and I find it to be unacceptable that the item was even listed in this day and age of automated inventory control.
I ordered 3 books and only one arrived, the rest two should be there since 3 weeks but there was no refund, they steal my money and the costumer service is poor,,
I will definitely file a complaint on this site
One of the worst customer experiences I have ever dealt with!
When I didn't get my order, after some back-and-forth with the postal service, I was told that my package was lost, but there was insurance the retailer could claim, so I should contact them. However, when I was trying to get some support from the Biblio, they were just sending me the same message that I should contact the postal service, and that the package must have been delivered over and over again. I was trying to call them hundreds of times and only managed to get through once. I was told that they'd give me a refund, but nothing happened.
I don't recommend buying anything from here!
Absolutely disgusted with the treatment and service I received by this company. I made an order before Christmas for a present and the company have not engaged in conversation with me regarding a refund and have refused to respond to the 8 or 9 emails I have sent them over the last month requesting the refund in question. I paid for the item and special delivery. This company takes your money and does not provide any goods or service. Daylight robbery!
I ordered a textbook on May 20,2023. I got an email saying that it was shipped on May 26 and then it will be delivered within 7-10 days. When I didn't receive it within that timeframe, I checked the order status. From June 6 to now, July 3, I have checked the status every day. It says "no information available." Biblio took my money almost two months ago, never to have delivered the order. I emailed customer service many times and never got a reply. BEWARE! BIBLIO IS A SCAM!

Stay away from these scammers

Nothing I never received the book I ordered
Hello Rahat,
I looked in our system, and I'm not seeing any emails from you about this order. Customer service and timely responses are very important to us, so if you've reached out to BIBLIO customer support, please confirm any details you can, and I'll be sure to investigate further.
I found your order, and it does look like there's a problem with the tracking number provided by the bookseller. I've reached out to the seller separately with you on copy, and please rest assured that a refund will be issued if the seller cannot provide updated tracking details in the next day or so.
Thanks so much,
Ashleigh
After 1 month of waiting for a book after it was reportedly mailed, I asked biblio.com to track that shipment and to let me know its status. They responded that "apparently" the book had been lost by the Post Office, that they would refund the cost if I wished, and that I still might get the book. I've now asked for a refund.
I ordered a book from Biblio onAugust 17. I received a confirmation email acknowledging my order and setting expectations I would receive the book between August 24 - August 31. Here it is now, November 6, and the book has still not arrived, nor do I have any reason to expect it ever will. I have reach out to them via email and received no response. Have NOTHING to do with them.
Hi Joan,
I'm so sorry for the delayed response here.
Please confirm your order number and I'll be sure to investigate thoroughly.
Thanks,
Ashleigh Redmond
Paid THEIR price for a book and the listed shipping. These crooks email me back after I had already paid. ACTION REQUIRED they said... asking for 33 more dollars to ship 1 book. Not a good way to do business..
Tip for consumers:
Beware..what they advertise in price may not be the actual price..they even said read the FINE print..I should have read their reviews before I bought into their lies

Ridiculous. Thought I'd branch out with another used book site-I typically stick with thriftbooks.com or Abebooks.com, and they are extremely reliable. But, this site has listed two SEPERATE orders as having the same tracking number when they come from two SEPERATE Physical locations. I better get my books. Now I know, at least, however, to NEVER order form this crooked site again.
I purchased a book that was supposedly in very good condition and a hardback. It turned out to be a paperback in fair condition. I sent photos of the condition of the book to the bookseller and to biblio.com FOUR TIMES. Never heard back from biblio.com. Never paying from these crooks again. What a waste of time dealing with them.
Tip for consumers:
unreliable: they ask for photos of goods that don't live up to the description and then let it drop. I think you're supposed to pay the return shipping as well, when it's the seller that is 100% at fault. I can provide email invoice & photos but don't have for this kind of nonsense. Other bookseller platforms don't act so irresponsibly. This is the first I've had this from.

Purchased a book that was skyrocketing in price due to a sudden popularity cause by a director (Zack Znyder). I never got any shipping confirmation after i made a request for it days prior to order strangely getting canceled. De days later after my request to shipping confirmation I got an email stating I was being refunded due to item being lost/ damaged during shipping. I find this very suspect due to the fact its also very convenient for the company because they stand to double thier money. Never again will I be dealing with Biblio. Plenty of honest businesses out there to choose from.
Tip for consumers:
Take your money elsewhere

Lost my book in the mail and I simply asked for the book or a refund and got nothing! I'm a college student that can't afford to not have a book or my money so I'm so upset I don't have either worst company with the worst customer service in the world.
I just bought a book with biblio, and they used my paypal address as my shipping address without asking if I wanted to ship somewhere else, just automatically placed the order. I sent an email less than 30 seconds after the order was placed, and they responded it couldn't be cancelled - even though it was their system messup. I no longer live at that address, and I want a full refund as soon as possible!
I had an awful experience with an order I've made. A package arrived but it wasn't what I've ordered by any stretch of the imagination - it was an order made by another person at a remote part of the planet.
Customer support response to that? Nah
Apologies? Never
Refund? You guessed it, nothing
Only through a PayPal claim I could get a refund and that took an additional month to the month I've waited for the wrong package.
I saw that some people ask if Biblio is for real. My answer is yes, real bad.
Tip for consumers:
Beware - customer service is awful, the only way I could get a refund was through a PayPal claim. No apologies, no relies, no service.

I couldn't what they sent - wrong item!
The worst book purchasing experience I have ever had! Never received my book and after waiting for over 2 weeks for delivery from a place that was only 3 hours from me, and falling behind in the class I needed the book for, I ended up ordering it from another site. Biblio said they would reach out to the vendor, but never got back to me after I sent several emails. THEY ARE A SCAM through and through. Also the tracking/order number they gave me was nonexistent when I entered it into the USPS tracking site.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY BOOKS FROM BIBLIO!!! Instead try Vitalsource, eCampus, Chegg.

I did not use anything because my order never came!!
I paid for a book to be shipped and received by January 15. Not only was it not shipped and the tracking was all messed up showing that it was sent FedEx but when I clicked on the link it linked over to UPS saying return damage when I contacted the company and the seller. They swore that it had been delivered. Even as I am submitting the fact that I live in a different area than the book is supposed to have been delivered to, and evidence that I don't have the book they refused to refund my money. This is a scam site avoid it they will not refund your money now I'm going to have to get my credit card company involved and it will be months before I can get my money back.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t they will not ship the item to you and even when you notify them, they’re not gonna review the charges even when you provide proof that it is physically impossible for you to have received the book and it’s physically impossible for them to have sent you the book they will not reverse your charges or remove the seller

I paid $200 to receive absolutely nothing, and I notified them and they refused to respond, and when they finally did after I started contacting the Better Business Bureau in Twitter, they refused to take any of my documentation, and refused to reverse the charges
Hi BB. We have been in active communication with you about this order and our support team has refunded you this morning. We have been responsive via Twitter and customer support email and we appreciate your clarification on tracking, including the screenshots and other information you have sent along. Our bookseller team is reviewing that seller and we've placed them on hold based on your experience.
We're very sorry that you didn't receive your book and that you had a bad experience on Biblio, but your money has been returned. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
I ordered a book and a week later I get an email saying it was sold out and that my money would be refunded. If I ordered the book and you took my money for it why would you then turn around and sell my copy!? I have NEVER had this happen with any other book retailer. I'm highly disappointed and I will NEVER order from them again.
