SAD
Sellers new to Bonanza won't understand all of the negative reviews until after they've spent a lot of time, money and effort trying to sell their wares on Bonanza for nothing. I had one of the best maintained and optimized booths there for over three years and barely sold a thing.
Yet, I can sell a decent amount in a month on a different site that I hadn't done anything with in years because I was putting all of my time, money and effort into Bonanza. And all I had to do was add a few new listings to it every time it started getting slow. I did little to no promoting of my store on that site either and my listings there usually ranked higher in Google organic than those on Bonanza.
Now that time has passed and the old-timers have started figuring out why their Bonanza stores were doing so poorly despite all of their efforts, management mistreats them in a big way, including closing their booths for trumped up reasons that do not apply. They are particularly spiteful towards those who have decided to open up shop somewhere else -- many resorting to starting their own sites.
So, yes, there are a great number of sellers who have nothing but bad reviews for Bonanza. We are trying to spread the word in the hopes that those who are new to Bonanza will learn from our mistakes and not be fooled by how easy it is to use or any of the "improvements" they make.
Improvements usually mean site-wide problems will arise and never get fixed like wiping out your traits, messing up your attributes, causing ghost listings in your feed so Google Shopping drops you, checkout problems, listing problems, disappearing listings, shipping problems, and the list goes on. So, that pretty much wipes out the ease of use.
If you're a seller, do yourself a favor and put your eggs in a different basket. If you're a shopper, you'll probably find yourself directed to Amazon to shop by Bonanza themselves, which would be another reason why sellers should steer clear.
If you do choose to sell on Bonanza, just remember "We told you so" when your eyes are finally opened to what our eyes have been witnessing for a long while now. In the beginning, we didn't want to believe it either, but now we're wondering how we let ourselves be fooled for so long. We should have known better.
THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!
I bought a very fragile bracelet made of thin wire, from one of their vendors, Scarlettsbags. It was mailed to me in a bubble wrap envelope, so naturally it was broken when it arrived. I was out of town and when I got back home and opened the mail, the return date had expired. I explained to the seller that I had no reason to assume the product would be damaged upon arrival and thus could not foresee that I would need to return it and hopefully get a replacement. The seller, Scarlettsbags, was extremely rude from the get-go, but finally she suggested I get my money back from PayPal, which I now regret attempting because it was not their fault; but glad PayPal's email ended up in my junk mail and thus I thought I didn't receive a response. Scarlettsbags told PayPal a bunch of lies about me. I mailed her the bracelet and bubble wrap envelope back at my own expense in a proper shipment box in the hope that she'd acknowledge her mistake. I gave up hope dealing with her in a civilized manner, so I contacted Bonanza.com directly. Got a response - they were investigating. Then nothing. I followed up, but nothing. In the meantime my right as a paying customer to write a review on Scarlettsbags EXPIRED! I've contacted Bonanza.com so many times. L've written long explanations, but to no avail. They refuse to communicate on a logical level. I've not asked, but told them to escalate my complaint to the owners of the company because I'm sure they'd like to know how their customers and ultimately the people paying for their livelihood are being treated. Rather quickly they email me saying they've closed out my case. I have nothing good to say about such lowlifes and hope they will be out of business asap so that people don't have to deal with their fraudulent business practices anymore. The bracelet was $23.76. So why am I spending all this time on this issue? What if it was $*******? I'm not doing this because of the money, but because of the principle. The injustice from Bonanza.com has to be stopped because they are supposed to, but fail to, protect consumers from predatory and fraudulent vendors, such as Scarlettsbags, so ultimately they end up being complicit. Very unethical business! I spend a lot of money via the internet, and I'm happy to say Bonanza.com and Scarlettsbags will never get another cent from me. Cut & paste! Spread the word!
It's super hard to sell items on this site. They only voting on the best websites to the seller that they think still might like the site. It's way to hard to sell items on this site because there a bunch of cheap owners that refuse to advertise the site because they want you to pay a way high percentage by joining there advertising programs. They lie about it bringing you 3x or 5x as many item sells. It's a flat out lie and they should be thrown in jail for b it. If you ask them why if there better than sliced bred they don't take pride in the company and advertise it so all your members can sell more items they will pull the rug from under your booth. It's complete B. S since you invested $50,000; in your booth and you have the right to know why they aren't advertising there site and lie about the high priced fees with them. Your better to do a shopify store or your own online store because you can easily can sell just as much on your site as you can on this $#*! bag site because most your sells come from Google shopping. The only thing good about bonanza is the designers did a great job designing it and making it to use. The CEO is a girly face son of a beep and getting good customer service is hard. It's a pain in the arse getting your sellers fees on here if some one returns something. I give them a big thumbs down just like ebay. Same corperate fake people under a different umbrella. So don't bother with this horrible site that shouldn't be in the rankings of online market places. There pissing yellow rain on Seattle so don't give them any b respect because theere a fake unethical company that will lie and cheat people out of money to make a product and provide horrible servic.
VERY happy with Bonanza. Have had several transactions so far and am very pleased.
Seller who used Bonanza website took my money and ran no refund no item

Without question the WORST selling platform in existence. It would take me HOURS to explain. If you are a seller STAY away!
ONE ITEM SHOWED IN THE DESCRIPTION AND OTHER COMPETELY DIFERENT RECEIVED I REVEIVED AN SUNCOVER FOR MI ELANTRA COMPLETE DIFERENT AT THE ITHEM SHOWED IN THEIR WEB PAGE DESCIPTION, NEVER BUY AGAIN.
At first, I was very excited about Bonanza as an alternative to Ebay. I'm a powerseller on Ebay, but I'm tired of their fees and Nazi like tactics, so I decided to give Bonanza a try. I spent several hours listing my items, waited for them to activate my account, which took longer than the 24 hours they tell you it will take. Eventually I had to email them and tell them it had been almost 36 hours. They immediately activated my account.
After a full day, I had not received a single view on any of my items. Not one. Nobody had visited or looked at any of my items and they are all pretty popular items. I even signed up for additional advertising in which you pay more commissions, and still nada.
I emailed them about this and they responded with a canned response that was completely irrelevant. They clearly didn't take any time to research my issue. The email told me to do a bunch of things that I had already done.
I have since emailed them 3 times requesting assistance and they have not responded. Then, I finally got a response and it said "We are marking this ticket as resolved"! LOL. Resolved!? No one had ever gotten back to me.
I wrote back one more time and told them this was not resolved. I explained that I was an Ebay powerseller and I am looking for an alternative to Ebay. They still have not responded, so they must not care.
I won't be using them again and I cannot recommend them to anyone. Awful, waste of time.
UPDATE: I wrote a negative review on the Better Business Bureau and here is how shady this company is: They deleted my account and then told the Better Business Bureau there was no such customer. Luckily I had the email thread between myself and them which I sent to the BBB. Scammers!
UPDATE 12/13/2015: Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Bonanza is terrible. Look at the negative reviews! What's funnier is that the Bonanza rep responds to all of them with the exact same cut and paste response, which is a total lie. I did go to the BBB - See my remarks about it above. This is one terrible company. I bet their rating with the BBB is a scam too. I'll bet you any amount of money that they themselves are filing complaints with the BBB and then resolving them. Why do I say this? Because everywhere else online, they have awful reviews - like terrible! But it just so happens they have an A+ rating with the BBB? Lies!

I will say that when I had opened an account with this company that I was hoping for a better experience. I was so wrong to assume that, some time last week (writing this on the 5th of May), I made an account, got paypal and everything set up and ready to go. I was setting a "booth," or a listing, and it made mention that it was for review and could take a couple of days. 3 or 4 day go by, and I try to log back in, which doing so led me back to the home page with the message, "logout successful." I was so confused by this and tried again and again, with the same message showing up. I tried resetting my password, which like most websites, requires you to go ahead and put your email down. I did so, and I had done so on Sunday, and nothing shows up in my inbox. I waited a couple of days, and contacted their support, and a few hours later I had received this, "Thank you for contacting us. Our system is preventing us from opening an account on Bonanza for you at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. It is our priority to keep Bonanza the safest possible marketplace for our buyers and sellers to use. Due to security restrictions, our team is unable to provide further details involved with this action.
Fortunately, we are able to recommend a few great alternatives such as ioffer(dot)com or ecrater.com, both of which have strong monthly traffic and a good base of buyers and sellers. EBid(dot)net is a good site for those who wish to deal in the auction format."
I was baffled and completely shocked, I then take to the internet today, to look this up and I had just found out that, this is what they send to those suspended, or deactivated. I had just barely set things up on their site, just about to make a listing, to just get banned for no reason explained, leaving it up to you to find your mistake through their guidelines. I'm not sure still what I have done, and I doubt they'll tell me (just tried to reach out on why this was the cause), but at least give a warning, that's all I ask. This really does drive me away from this site, and if it does for you, and if at all this is making you re-think this site, run while you can. Very interesting way to do business, best to use a different website, or you'll get the same fate I suppose.
Ordered an item, needed refund, no answers. Terrible. Not again. No.

Answer: Not fake but not a good site to do business
Answer: Ebay. I always get great customer service from ebay... as a seller. Bonanza provides no customer service; if you have an issue, they just keep sending the same "canned" response over and over... and I had one sale on Bonanza for which they charged me a 17% fee... then they took $25 more out of my bank account... I have addressed both of these issues with Bonanza... Regarding the huge 17% fee... they sent me about seven (7) of the same "canned" response. I wanted a lesser % fee since their website claims they always charge the "lowest fee possible"... just one "canned" response after another... If they would have offered a more reasonable % fee in order to provide me with satisfactory customer service. I would have been satisfied; but they did not... after the seventh "canned" response... I closed my booth... And NOW... EVEN WORSE... they took an additional $25.00 out of my bank account... and for what I have no idea. I called the phone number which was listed with the transaction on my bank account and of course got a recording. I left my information, and it has been four days... and still no response. When you call ebay, you speak to a live person who works to solve your concerns... I HATE BONANZA... and you would think that BONANZA would not want RIDICULOUSLY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS... but they do not care. I moved all my ebay items to Bonanza to see if it was a better experience than ebay... ebay's fees are 10%... and they have a much larger shopping audience... and they have real customer service people that you can talk to. Bonanza has a much smaller shopping audience, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, and their goal appears to be to charge sellers the most enormous fees that they can get away with. I never get online to post negative reviews... I generally get online to post about great customer service and great products... I like to keep things on the POSITIVE... but this is just not possible with BONANZA... they are like a Phantom Selling Platform... totally disgusted. I will be reporting BONANZA to the BBB and to the US Attorney General's Office. Very disappointing experience.
Answer: Sellers can create and offer coupons with zero limitations ("Sell on Bonanza > Edit booth options > Discounts & Coupons").
Answer: I set up my account with Bonanza and their platform is pretty much the same as setting up an account with eBay, Etsy, Amazon, etc. What problems are you having?
Answer: I have never seen any benefit to paying extra for advertising. Bonanza just doesnt do it like ebay does. Have you ever seen a Bonanza ad on TV? Nope. And therein lies the problem. Nobody will shop there if they havent heard of it. True many sellers are leaving ebay (or sadly being kicked off by the BS) but nearly everyone goes to Bonanza to SELL not to buy.
Answer: Yes and the answer be sure if ya are absent minded of being taken advantage of..
